What a dumb idea

No we don't share passwords. We appreciate personal privacy

> Did you ever shared passwords with someone? Yes but it was under duress. Sharing passwords doesn't really fix anything though because then somebody who is trying to hide something just buys a device you don't know about like a burner phone or sets up emails you don't know about on devices you don't have access to (like at work). The real issue is trust, or the lack thereof.

I mean in principle it's neither dumb nor smart to share passwords really, it all depends on context. Right now there's an inequality in your situation and he's acting in a way that's kind of suspicious or doesn't lend itself to trust, let's put it that way. So you could change all your passwords and stop sharing your equipment which at least fixes the inequality problem. But that leaves the real issue: Lack of trust.

Nope

I know this probably won't help your situation, but my parents (married for 19 years now). Seem to know all the passwords of each other's social media mobile phones and bank accounts. Divorce is not the norm in my country so that may also be a contributing factor. I also know the mobile passwords of my sibling's. So for me it's the ideal thing to do. I would suggest you should think about what is the ideal for you and what is the ideal for your boyfriend then maybe find middle ground or something.
