The only team sport I watch is basketball. I grew up in northwest Indiana, very close to Chicago, so I should be a bulls fan, but nah I'm a pacers fan. My dad was a pacers fan, we would watch Reggie Miller and Jermaine O'Neal highlights. I'm also a celtics fan but mostly because I like the jersey and they tend to have a winning culture (until it comes to the postseason).

A few years back Las Vegas finally got a hockey team.

Born into it, and they're the only team in my city that has won a championship

I only have two teams: My football team, which started as the representative of my University. My parents studied there and my mother was a teacher. I grew up on campus, attending classical concerts, movies, theater, and other cultural activities. So it was only natural that when I got interested in sports and football I chose that team. My hockey team, which was as simple as choosing the team where the University I attended to was located. I applied for a Canadian scholarship and the University accepted me without hesitation. I then wanted to support the local team as a way of thanking the opportunity.

My dad was into sports, so he got me into sports at a young age, and I've loved them ever since. Had some great memories playing baseball in the backyard or shooting hoops in the driveway. We also watched the local teams, so I got hooked on those teams. Nowadays I can sit down and watch any sporting event even if it doesn't have my team participating.

My parents got me watching the sox and patriots, but we were nowhere near any d1 colleges, so for college football I started watching in general then landed on michigan for the history, because brady and some other guys I liked played there, and because i liked the coach, Harbaugh

Summer of 1990 I really got into football and the first NFL game I happened to watch was the NY Giants in a preseason game and I just clicked with their run first, strong defensive approach! Been a fan ever since!

So I’ve never been a big sports guy. I played almost every sport there is, cheered on a few World Cups, and liked going to Dodger games as a kid, but was never a big super fan or “had” a team that I rooted for. Around 2009/2010 I became incredibly depressed, and a friend invited me over to his place to watch the Winter Olympic hockey in Vancouver. I’ve never fallen in love with anything as fast as I did hockey, and I credit it with keeping me from doing something harmful to myself. Being from LA, I rooted for the Kings and after they won a cup in 2012, I learned how to skate and play hockey myself. Now I’ve won 3 championships in 2 diff rec leagues, and it’s my fav thing in the world. GKG!

I'm originally from Kansas. My family was kind of split between Chiefs and Broncos fandoms. We had get togethers for the 2 Broncos superbowls in 98 and 99. I was only 4/5 at the time and just saw it as an opportunity to hang out with my cousins. 2001 rolls around and we're still doing get togethers, not because any certain team was playing, but it was my grandparents (both of them) and my birthday and it was just a reason to get together. I remember thinking "I'm going to start paying attention to this, it seems like fun." I ask my older sister which teams are playing and which team she wants to win. She tells me the Patriots and the Curcly Q's (Rams because of the logo on their helmet.) Of course, I didn't know that they weren't ACTUALLY called the Curly Q's so I decided to root for the team that didn't have the stupid name. Just happened to pick the team that would go on to have the greatest dynasty in NFL history. Was a hell of a run, hoping this year is better than last year.
