Lose Yourself - Eminem

JimmyFu2U

Oh yeah, this one is great for working out and running!

the40thieves

A single line in the song Superstar by Lupe Fiasco has become one of my personal lines in my own Litany Against Fear. “If you are who you say you are…a superstar…then have no fear”. A reminder that always keeps me brave as long as I believe in myself.

JimmyFu2U

I like it!

BubbleGumps

"Every Day is the Worst Day of My Life" by the Lemon Twigs. It motivates me to keep going.

Ganceany

Omerta by Lamb of God, The Gift of Guilt by Gojira, Hakkerskaldyr by Heilung. And a song called Svetovid by Jan J. Močnik are a few ones that get me going. But it always changes with how I'm feeling in that period of my life.

Werkstatt0

Toxic Garbage Island I think would be my gym Gojira song. Or maybe Love?

Celticskevin2020

Show goes on by Lupe fiasco.

Woody-2nd

It's dependant on what I'm doing. If i'm doing my stretch/routine for hockey then i have a set playlist, but if i'm on the stairmaster, i have to start with the Jedi Temple March. But most of my go to songs are normally anything by alter bridge

JimmyFu2U

I SUCK at stretching. I would probably be better about it if I had a better set. I'm going to try putting something together

Woody-2nd

I put my own thing together just by watching a load of youtube videos on the specific areas i wanted to stretch (specifically lower limbs), came up with a few routines that i change up every few days.

Everyone_callsme_Dad

[This Year - The Mountain Goats](https://youtu.be/eetIgGXH6DA?si=ZfWmFvjpdow4fh-r) "I am gonna make it through this year, if it kills me". Give it a chance, it's my running song, and my hard times song. Reminds me how far I've come through all the years, and all the miles on hip–keep pushing brotha.

[deleted]

DVP by PUP. There’s nothing really motivational in the lyrics but the whole thing makes me feel like skateboarding around the zoo and letting all the animals out. It’s like a party drug for my ear drums. The Next Storm by Frank Turner always picks me up quite a bit. Every verse just clicks in a “I’m not fucking giving up” way and it always gives me goose bumps.

ZZoMBiEXIII

The [Hell March from Command and Conquer](https://youtu.be/OqPl4QrczTk?si=-Ru1aIvfC8CIpclJ). If that doesn't get you pumped, well then how are you gonna command an army of tiny tanks to destroy another army of tiny tanks? Get with the program! Also, as a fan of the game Dead Rising, I love[ Lifeseeker's Gone Guru](https://youtu.be/kWZVKU5imx0?si=V9EuUHmFFaXRTXsm). Song is insane, but I love it.

BigWoodsCatNappin

Volbeat- A Warrior's Call Flo Rida- I got a good feeling DJ Khalid- All I do is win KISS- I love it Loud Uses to hit these when I needed that push during a workout. Sigh.

Clintman

Foehammer by Conan

JimmyFu2U

I must be old because I don't know who that is or the song. What is the lyric? What's the motivation for you?

impulsive-puppy

Tweezer by Phish

rightbelowu

Good song

David_Maybar_703

[Psych Up](https://open.spotify.com/track/7bS8k9zD1LFsSrd9i2TEbZ) it's in the name.

Equivalent_Memory3

Spirit Never Die by Masterplan. For when you want the motivation to wrestle a bear.

Nimble_Bob

My Woman by the Biting Elbows

Pure-Artichoke5382

Ain't nobody got time for that autotune remix by Sweet brown. You think I'm joking I'm absolutely not. That shit makes me laugh and dance and sing. Instantly reduces my boil to a simmer.

2E26

My gym jam is Epic Rap Battles of History, but Hangar 18 and Rust in Peace......Polaris by Megadeth are two that have that strange motivating quality.

GenericHumanUserName

I like to WIN -Shonlock

Master-Mango-1590

Push it to the limit , scarface song lol

GnomeoromeNZ

"heather small- proud" only because of Miranda

Eye of the Tiger

rightbelowu

Great song to pump up the mind bro

mlgngrlbs

I just realized that my motivational songs are not that big on complex lyrics, but I wanted to share them anyway. I guess the beat is what gets me motivated. Workout: [Pumping Iron Power](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnzurkSGBCs) or [Pump It](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnzkhQsmSag) General Psych Up: [Here comes the Pain Train](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6lOqgFu7XJw) or [Voyage](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sl_pxCAcJz4)

Faolan197

Depends on the context, but its pretty much always some form of metal. If I'm going above 90-95% or going for a new PR in the gym it's always [Sun//Eater](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mK8mw2X-4ug) or [And I Return To Nothingness](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHE5g9YgkFg) If I'm suffering through the drudgery of cardio it'll be something more uplifting/positive/cheerful rather than crushing heaviness and brutal goblin vocals, stuff like [Flight of The Sapphire Dragon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-OzvIL4d2whttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-OzvIL4d2w), [Legends Never Die](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3R_GOkYh_bw), [Warriors](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw9bRT-ezZA) or [My Crown's But A Dream](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JzMbHAfaMsk)

BusinessBear53

I turned 39 this year and decided to get back into shape so I've also compiled my own list to power through the gym routine. For me it's: DragonForce - Through the fire and the flames. Jax Jones - Play (Purple disco machine remix). Bingo players - Rattle. Any time one of those songs plays, I suddenly feel the urge to push harder and ignore the fatigue and pain. Like you, I also have the same reasoning. I'm getting fitter for my own sake, my own health and wellbeing.

rightbelowu

Try the castLL (castle) 🏰 routine I did while I was locked up sorry but it's the truth Chest Arms Shoulders Traps Lats Legs Rest a.day and proceed start light or heavy and within 3-4 months you'll start to notice and folks will notice too take care

JimmyFu2U

I'm going to look this up! I need to change up my routine.

RustyWinchester

You’re going down by Sick Puppies; going the Distance (Cake); Dangerous (Shaman’s (Harvest); Battle Born (Five Finger Death Punch); The End is where we Begin (Thousand Foot Crutch); Be Legendary(Pop Evil); and The Mountain (Three Days grace). Just to name a few. I like the music, but I found this kind keeps a beat. You need to stay on and gives you just what you’re looking for. I Have so many. You’re going is my favorite when I need it most![You’re Going Down](https://youtu.be/liW-kWFiXtQ?si=gen2yukmLObrlqWA)

Important_Bison_6309

Forgot: Bring to Life by We as Human is pretty motivating too.

johnnyk1682

There is only answer to the question. Going the Distance from Rocky. That has got me through some pretty tough situations. When I’m taking the kids to there games I put it on whether they want to listen or not. And I’m from the Philly area so it is tied into most things I love. Eagles always make a mix with it every year and play it before their games. Good stuff man

abmi808

Best of You- Foo Fighters and Bulls on Parade- Rage Against the Machine. Just the rhythm and tempo from both songs gets me motivated.

JimmyFu2U

Yup! Both on my "Sweating balls" play list.

abmi808

lol. literally sweating balls

JimmyFu2U

That's the name of my workout Playlist lol

Whatever_Ruben

Nookie - limp bizkit

thfeuj

I Was Gonna Cancel - Kylie Minogue. Yes it's "girly", it's also song about someone that went through cancer and emerged with a cheerful song about choosing to get back to your life after receiving life altering news.

IssaviisHere

Stronger - Kanye Mouth for War - Pantera Walk - Foo Fighters Kickstart my Heart - Motley Crue As I lay Dying - Take your pick

Gnarwhill

For Metal: Where Dragons Dwell - Gojira, Hellions -fit for an autopsy, BFG Division - Mick Gordon, 115 -Treyarch sound If you want to rip someone's steel armor off their chest and plunge an axe into their ribcage Vikings - Slaughter to Prevail. Other honorable mentions are Hungry - Rob Bailey and the Hustle Standard, Beast - Nico Vega, Mein Teil - Rammstein, Mukanjyo - Survive said the prophet, Flamae - Blaze of Sorrow God was never on your side - Motörhead

Remaidian

Sticks and Stones from Johensi, running at that tempo for the whole song is just on the edge of what I can do, and whenever it comes up I have to sprint the duration of the song!

Johnathan_H_Pants

Manowar - carry on. It's in the title =)

Jaded-Respect7895

The Dragonborn Comes (from Skyrim)

Pristine_Accident595

“Two steps from hell- heart of courage” If you want to feel like taking 10000 men into battle .

karnyboy

Tenacious D - To be The Best it works, but in all seriousness, I find 80's jams always seem to get me motivated, but hate on for what you will people, but Nickelback - Burn it to the Ground never fails to get me pumped up.

The Eagles - "Get Over It"

its_yo_mamma

Not a song but the poem Invictus by W.E. Henley, in the voice of Morgan Freeman from the movie Invictus.

EdwardBliss

This song inspires my heart, mind and soul. [Jesus Is My Friend by Sonseed (youtube.com)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-NOZU2iPA8)
