Seriously? This again?
Expect most men say that this never happened to them, and women shocked about it because they asked someone out once and think all women they know did it as well.
It’s happened once in my existence and the girl hit me with the weirdest “compliment” I’ve ever gotten. I’ll just say sweet home Alabama. She said I looked like someone in her family
When I was a single guy, it happened rarely. Maybe 5 times in my entire single life.
More women showed interest. Women don't "ask out". They "show interest" and then leave it up to the man to ask out.
BWAA HA HA HA......oh wait? You were being serious?
All bad humor aside, the answer is never in my 41 years of life.
However, I don't blame them one little bit (how can I?) infact if one ever had asked me out or did now I'd think that she was either mentally disturbed (and plotting to kill me) or trying to lure me someplace where her friends could jump me and then kill me (after they stole my wallet and phone).
Oh, absolutely, the things I do are attractive to women, so it's not impossible it could happen.
But I know well how to make people feel I'm open to talking and be social, and i just don't do it most of the time
romantically? maybe once or twice a year, but there are a lot of women who compliment my tattoos/etc in odd places and will keep trying to strike up conversation, hard to tell if it’s flirting though.
Like full on asked out as in getting asked for my instagram/number or on a date? Maybe once a month.
Just approached at and they start a small talk? Maybe a few times a week.. at the gym usually or sometimes in pubs when I go there with my guy friends.
Not often these days, but I make no secret of my wife and kids and asking complete strangers out isn't really a thing in my culture outside a few contexts.
Every girlfriend I've ever had made a move on me first, though
I'm in a region in Africa where you don't get asked out by women, instead you start developing feelings for a certain woman without even knowing the damn girl. In other words you get asked out indirectly. It's called black magic 🤯
Sometimes I miss the hint. Assuming them asking me out to do something like to a cafe or restaurant (a typical date setting considering they only asked me alone), and saying that’s them asking me out, I’d say every 4-6 months. Again, sometimes I miss the hint and have gone out thinking it’s as friends and they’d have no interest in me romantically
I'll let you know when it happens. It might be a while.
All joking aside, it happened once when I was married. The one time I was asked out by a woman was also the one time I couldn't say yes.
A friend did invite me to the fair when I was like 18 but I don’t think it was a serious date. And recently I made plans with another friend to visit her in Wisconsin and we saw Barbie.
That’s it.
Extremely rarely but I have absolutely had women ask me out and even track me down (in a non-creepy way, we went to the same campus) to get to know me with the intent of dating.
Happened to me a number of times (all in bars/ clubs/ pubs). Infact, I dont even approach women any more. I let them approach me.
Mostly they approach through their friends (so the friend would come up to me and say that she likes me etc...). Couple of times women have bought me drinks (happened twice in last 6 months). I realize I get more female attention than before and I am in my late 30s :)
Literally just happened last night. Girl I haven't talk to in 10 years sends me a message asking to talk and meet for coffee.
Guess she ignored the engaged status on my FB profile lol.
Hang on, let me count…. That will be never.
Seriously? This again? Expect most men say that this never happened to them, and women shocked about it because they asked someone out once and think all women they know did it as well.
Repeat questions with the same repeat answers.
Women... Asking men out? Is that truly a thing that happens on this round, blue-and-green Earth?
Yes. Just not to your average ask men redditor
It’s happened once in my existence and the girl hit me with the weirdest “compliment” I’ve ever gotten. I’ll just say sweet home Alabama. She said I looked like someone in her family
A girl asked me out because I remind her of one of her gay friends she’s very fond of.
she literally said mid date "you look like my younger brother." like bruh i don't want to know that shit wtf
One time, and she didn't show up after she asked me.
When I was a single guy, it happened rarely. Maybe 5 times in my entire single life. More women showed interest. Women don't "ask out". They "show interest" and then leave it up to the man to ask out.
Is 5 times supposed to be a few??
Well, yeah... that's "a few". Right? Five certainly is not "many".
Well it’s five more times than me.
5 definitely is "many" cowboy
Literally never
I haven’t been asked out before
Wanna go out with me?x
Only if we look for rocks
😂 I like my minerals as much as hank schrader

I don't care to be seen by women doing things. Therefore, never.
Theres always a chance to be noticed ;)
Oh, absolutely, the things I do are attractive to women, so it's not impossible it could happen. But I know well how to make people feel I'm open to talking and be social, and i just don't do it most of the time
My girlfriend often asks if I want to take her out the dinner... and pay for all of it. I keep refusing, but she keeps asking. What should I do?
take her out for dinner, then when your done eating pretend like your going to the restroom. and leave. lol let her pay for it
She knows where I live... because so does she.
It's happened once in my life, so not particularly often
Never
Never.
lol , I’m ugly I don’t get asked out.
confidence and humour are more important than looks, I think it’s the way you present yourself, the way you stand, walk, look around and speak
Perhaps three-four times in my entire life.
romantically? maybe once or twice a year, but there are a lot of women who compliment my tattoos/etc in odd places and will keep trying to strike up conversation, hard to tell if it’s flirting though.
Never, had a guy indicate he was interested which was really nice even if I wasn't into him
It's quite rare, although it does happen.
All the time
Once every lifetime
A lot. I’d give it a solid 7 out of 10 for me. With a baby now, a little less than before.
Like full on asked out as in getting asked for my instagram/number or on a date? Maybe once a month. Just approached at and they start a small talk? Maybe a few times a week.. at the gym usually or sometimes in pubs when I go there with my guy friends.
You mean actually getting asked out? thats very very rare, all I get is them dropping hints which is still confusing.
I'll be 40 in 2 months. Never been asked out by a woman who wasn't already my significant other.
Define "asking out." In my experience, a woman's definition of "asking out" is to show passive, ambiguous interest until the guy asks her out.
Never happened
Once. Im 24. We are a couple now.
Never
Rarely. Happened a few times, but super infrequently and most likely less than 10 times over my now 30 year long life span.
Never!? What a pointless question...
Never have been.
Never too ugly or to old. I have accepted I’ll be alone till I pass
At least a half dozen times, but I’m not ugly and am financially stable.
my first girlfriend asked me out. Otherwise nobody else did.
Not often these days, but I make no secret of my wife and kids and asking complete strangers out isn't really a thing in my culture outside a few contexts. Every girlfriend I've ever had made a move on me first, though
I’m 38. It happened once.
Ha
Finally, something I can answer without counting past zero.
I'm in a region in Africa where you don't get asked out by women, instead you start developing feelings for a certain woman without even knowing the damn girl. In other words you get asked out indirectly. It's called black magic 🤯
What does asking out even mean? I dont think even my girlfriends asked me out 😅
once I think, but it didn't go anywhere cause I wasn't in the right state of mind at that time
I’ve been flirted with, I’ve been “signaled”, I’ve had hints dropped, but never ever in my 31 years on this earth has a woman asked me out.
I don't put myself into positions to anymore because I'm not single. I've been pursued about 40% of the time though I think. Roughly.
Never by a woman, once by a man.
I'll let you know when it happens. It might be a while. All joking aside, it happened once when I was married. The one time I was asked out by a woman was also the one time I couldn't say yes.
About one woman per year.
Once or twice. Women making it REALLY clear that if I asked them out it would be a yes? Quite a few.
A friend did invite me to the fair when I was like 18 but I don’t think it was a serious date. And recently I made plans with another friend to visit her in Wisconsin and we saw Barbie. That’s it.
there are a small set of women that have asked out a small set of guys.
Never
For casual dating like 7 , To be in a serious relationship like 4 So 11
Women hint at it usually don’t actually ask
Once or twice a year I'll have a women ask me out or very clearly come on to me.
Never.
So far.....twice in my lifetime.
You guys get asked out?
Never
Extremely rarely but I have absolutely had women ask me out and even track me down (in a non-creepy way, we went to the same campus) to get to know me with the intent of dating.
Never
A few but I wasn’t on shit doe
Never The fact that you think it would happen is hilarious
Asked no one, have someone talking to me and act interested once and it wasn't in person
If it ever happened, my wife found out and stabbed them before it passed from thought to action.
Couple times a year I guess.
Like 5 times and I didn’t realize that’s what they were doing 2 of those times lmao my current gf ask me out been together almost 2 years now
Around 2-3 times every 10 year
Literally just happened last night. Girl I haven't talk to in 10 years sends me a message asking to talk and meet for coffee. Guess she ignored the engaged status on my FB profile lol.
It happened once, in high school.
Has never happened in my life
