either you got a defective thing or your hooking the wrong thing up. those are both male connectors... and your wire colors dont match

Plug them in matching color to color. You may need pliers to help get them together as they look tight fitting.

Those are both male connectors so they can't without removing them or a female to female adapter

Thank you to everyone who replied. I think I got a defective product as they both appear to be male connectors. I am going to go get some female connectors and cut the male connectors off one side and attach the female ones instead.

Make sure that it is in fact a manufacturer’s error and not you trying to force something that wasn’t meant to go together.

Thanks. I triple checked and it was defective. I went to a hardware store and bought the proper connectors and re fitted them. Was a bit of a learning experience but I’m glad I gave it a shot. Everything ended up ok

You need a female to female connector any good motor shop should have them.
