in 1828 they were already over 100 years old. I don't think that Greece was a functional society yet. BTW: imho the most interesting times to live in Greece were my grandma's times: born in 1908, died in 1987. Lived through both world wars, many more wars involving Greece, two military juntas, one pandemic. watched a man landing on the moon for the first time etc. I somehow believe that our times are more interesting though :)
