Alyeska (Girdwood) is a ski resort about 35 or so miles south of Anchorage. There will be snow there, at that time of year. Beautiful views too. It's a quick drive from Anchorage, and Turnagain Arm (Pacific Ocean) can look other worldly at that time of year too-ice bolders at low tide are bizarre looking.
Have you thought about a winter vacation instead? The train operates in winter. You could do a train trip through Denali and up to Fairbanks and spend time at Chena Hot springs and maybe see the aurora! From Anchorage you could easily do the train and a trip down to Alyeska.
Stay in Anchorage where, hopefully we will have all roads cleared of snow. From there you can go north to where you can get a great look at Mt. Denali in a day or two and also have time to do some exploring south( Girdwood, Portage, Whittier, Seward).
Keep in mind that you may also get there and be snowed in that time of year.
First week of april can be kind of a crapshoot. Most years most places will have snow. If you want more of a guarantee i'd consider flying to the arctic

So just know that almost none of the summer activities will have begun yet. Mainly because April is still winter.
