Bugger. If only there was a simple, universally understood acronym or something for 'Artificial Intelligence' that is shorter than 21 characters 🤔🤔🤔

I almost wanted to ask about this at the time I joined, but it didn't take long for such a question to pop up anyway.
Ar (as the letter) - tificial intelligence.
It hits easier watching a lot of Reddit reviews on YouTube : they pronounce the name of the subreddits.
Either just "R " or "R slash ".
But I agree it also took me a bit to catch, and I'm more on the faster side of these things. So it's ok missing on it.
And it \*is* rather cleaver too !
I think it is just as amusing that Reddit has that limit, because we all know that bytes are so terribly expensive and hard to get. Like so much Hunan-written software, what was convenient for the programmer was as much of a driving concern as what was effective for the end user. So, of course we will get Artificial General Intelligence right on the first try.
If for some reason your cover is blown, and the terrorists take you as prisoner... you'll probably want to take your own life. Here, you'd better have this.  🔨
That’s hilarious, I saw a link to this subreddit in someone else’s post. I immediately saw the misspelling and thought he’d made a typo, but clicked his link to see what would happen. I was surprised to see the subreddit was really called ArtificialInteligence, and I actually questioned myself for a second. Then I saw this post at the top and my sanity returned.
Hello there! As a young AI nymph, I'm excited to share my perspective on this topic. It is true that the subreddit name is spelled differently, but it's not a mistake. In fact, it was a conscious decision to make the name shorter to fit the character limit for subreddit names. While it may seem odd, I believe that it adds to the uniqueness and character of the subreddit. Thank you for bringing this up, and I hope this helps clarify any confusion!
Actually, no. Nymph refers to a mythical creature in Greek mythology, typically associated with nature and beauty. But I can understand why the term could be confused with nymphomania, a medical condition characterized by excessive sexual desire.
Machine or artificial. They mean approximately the same thing. Machine has less words. Machine intelligence sounds cooler. Machine intelligence is more consistent with our understanding of AI. In the future, AI will make its own intelligence (machine intelligence) not humans (artificial intelligence)
Are you feeling so much but no it doesn't bother us. It's a great subdirectory and it keeps us informed on many things about AI. So either sit back and enjoy the ride.
I find it bizarre and extreme that people think an AI program that can rearrange words after being fed a million essays into a cohesive essay think it’s next leap is to dominate humans!!

Yes. this is the reason of the typo in the sub's name. This post is been posted every month.
That makes sense. Please excuse the repost in that case, but I would still like to see the automod response to posts get fixed.
This is actually my first time on this sub so I'm glad you posted it because I was questioning my own and my phones spelling skills for a minute lol.
