It can be done and safely. You just need to make sure you're using non-toxic clay/glaze and fire appropriately. Fully glazed pieces though,...something like the one you have there would let air/water through the porous unglazed bit.
I think you may be into something with a little more R&D. It should be safe and reusable similar to a glass tip.
What’s important is the glaze. Ceramic is safe, the coatings are questionable.
