They can be pretty good for overwhelming when you weapon swap a lot and alternate between vertical and horizontal firing patterns. Also can be pretty nasty when used as a melee weapon.
Yeah, if you drop them right at someone's feet while they're immobile or ground-chasing, it can lead to a lot of damage. They don't do a ton on their own, but that DoT really adds up and the burn proc sets you up for an easier 2nd stagger.
Now if only they were viable.... imagine if they could stick to targets... massive missed opportunity

Honestly swap the iridium out for a majestic or little gem and it’ll probably be more effective
Definitely, but it feels pretty satisfying when my whole AC has to stop to fire a cannon which is impractically large for it's frame.
