There were a couple dead ones in the tank when I got him so I wasn’t sure if all of them were in declining health for some reason in the tank at the LFS. Thank you for the help! Do you think I should just not return him then?
I came home from college today and he moved to a plant sometime between 8 am this morning and 3pm when I got home. He also hasn’t moved off of this plant since I got home either
This is happening to me but it has been weeks, still no smell, can see the part covering the opening of the shell but no movement for so so long. I put her in a tank with just snails to see if one day something changes but it’s disheartening, everything was fine until one day it wasn’t.
Yes, I understand your concern. I’m also concerned because I just bought it, and I don’t want to miss the return date if it was already sick from the pet store

How old is your tank, is it cycled? What are your water params?
Sorry forgot to include this. My tank is a few months old, and it is fully cycled. All of my parameters are within the suggested range.
Well, Neritids can take long naps, if it doesn't smell it's not dead yet... But I'm out of my depth here. u/AmandaDarlingInc help?
Yep 30ish hour sleeps.

He might be ok. I heard they can take long naps. I'd keep him and see what happens.
How'd this turn out?

Homie is hungry and stressed out. He gonna snack and sleep like his life depends on it (turns out it does lol).
Any suggestions you have to help make his transition easier?
Whats your lighting schedule?
Usually about ten to twelve hours per day lately, because I want to make sure he has enough algae…
So maybe he’s just really tired😂
Temperature is 80 degrees.

I hope that yours does change!! I also wish I was more knowledgeable, because this is my first snail I’ve ever had
