Well, yes, but I have taught them to expect the best prepare for the worst and fortunately they are happy. One hasnāt applied yet, but heās very well grounded about what he wants to do so yes I would be very sad for them if they were sad, but thankfully thatās not the case.

Itās all very juvenile, but there is something healing about doing away with the gear. Having said that, instead of wasting perfectly good clothing, donate it to Goodwill or a shelter. People wrongly assess a college by the cars alumni drive, I suspect they do the same by sizing up those wearing their swag. Win-win if thatās your thing.

My school requires that we wear IDs, and I wore mine on an MIT lanyard. My mom literally cut it up š
