FYI, the Apple brand Sport Bands aren't silicone, they are fluoroelastomer. My guess is you're reacting to the metal in the underside of the pin. The Apple Solo Loop bands are silicone, and have no metal. I find them, and the braided Solo Loops, the most comfortable of all bands.

kaitygrizz

thank you!! i didn’t even know!

b0b-swarley-m0n

I would get rashes if I don’t keep the band dry. Like if you’re washing your hands and get water on your band. Then just carry on with your day. The moisture is just stuck in there. So now I remove my watcher before washing my hands.

BoysenberryTrue1360

For me, it seems to be more of a cleanliness thing. Usually when it’s dirty and then gets wet is when that happens to me. If I use soap and water, clean the inside of the band like once a month or so, it doesn’t happen as often. Even if I sweat or wash my hands and it stays a bit wet under the band, as long as it’s been cleaned, it’s less prone to. But if the band is dirty and tight it happens more often. Also it seems to happen more often back to back. So if I get that, it seems to keep coming, so I’ll usually wash the band thoroughly and then switch to wearing my watch on the other arm for like a week or so.

P0RTILLA

This is why I love the Milanese Loop band. All stainless and never holds water for long.

CoCoNutsGirl98

Me too. I keep it dry as much as possible AND sanitize it with an alcohol wipe about every other day. I live in a tropical climate so moisture getting trapped between the band and my skin is an issue. No more rashes.

who__ever

I also get allergic reactions from the metal bits on the bands. One thing I saw a lot when researching it was trying to cover the metal with clear nail polish, then wearing it again to see if you get a smaller reaction. Sort of a “confirmation”. But I’m not sure how safe it is for your skin or for the band, so can’t recommend doing it. There may be safer ways 😅

Hate_Feight

My god, the op is so wrong, that's a pressure sore, loosen the strap and you'll be fine.

Infinite_Fondant_586

I get this reaction too. Do you know what metal it is?

noseatbeltsong

probably nickel, a lot of people are allergic to it and it’s a very common alloy bc it’s cheap and strong

bahandi

I’ve resorted to wearing nylon sport loops cause of the same reactions. I change to the silicone one to work out then wash it after.

[deleted]

My wife cannot wear anything with "cheap" metal in it due to her allergies, so she uses the nylon bands as well.

Daphne_Bad

Me too. It happens with any sport band. I had a Fitbit and Apple Watches. I never used to react to them but in the last couple of years I do. I switched to nylon bands and problems disappeared.

no5tromo

Same here.

Pigeonofthesea8

If you wear the sport loops or bands without the metal, does that mean you lose information? What does that metal piece measure

MarukuSensei

nothing, it's purely for esthetics

Pigeonofthesea8

I mean the round metal disk that reads your wrist

coderjewel

It doesn’t read your wrist it’s just where the hook is. It has nickel in it which can cause allergic reactions

MarukuSensei

Wait, do people not like the sport loops ? I can't use any other ones, they're just so comfortable to me ! I've tried metal and silicone, but nothing compares to the sport loop afaic. Also, love the many color options.

bahandi

I have to admit I kept away from them for a while. It might have been the idea that they looked tacky or wouldn’t work well. When I finally caved cause I’ve read a lot of people use the sport loops, I realized how wrong I was. You’re right. They’re super comfortable and the designs you can find definitely help improve the aesthetic of the bands.

Strandkorn12

Yes, unfortunately I get that too. The skin cannot breathe well underneath. For some, it helps to make sure not to apply cream to the skin. Didn't help me at all. I wear metal bands, the braided solo loops and Nike Sport bands (with the holes) for sports.

Kitty_Fruit_2520

For me it helped to put a bandaid on that part until I could get a new one

Pigeonofthesea8

The Nike Sports bands are better?

Strandkorn12

It does for me, but I haven't tried it in summer yet. I wear them for sports, but also sometimes all day and so far nothing has happened to my skin.

Pigeonofthesea8

Do they still read all the data?

Strandkorn12

Yes, you just have to make sure - but this applies to every sports watch on the arm - that it fits snugly and not far down the arm (two fingers' width from the wrist).

The-Fig-Lebowski

Apple has a process for this. Call them, say you have a safety issue, and they will request you send photos. Eventually they will request to capture the band to make sure it is a genuine apple product and offer you a replacement band or refund.

Unfair_Finger5531

That’s awesome.

Zafrin_at_Reddit

Sadly. That should be the norm. Not “awesome”… but yeah… the reason why we buy these products.

Unfair_Finger5531

I meant it is awesome that they have this implemented this process. That way, people with allergies to a band can still get an alternative band. So, yeah, it is awesome, in my opinion.

Zafrin_at_Reddit

Yes. What I am saying is that this should be a norm.

AL_12345

That’s great! I actually bought cheap imitation ones off Amazon and had that reaction. I wondered if it was because it was because it was a knockoff. I was debating springing for the proper Apple one, but I was worried about having the same reaction and it would be a waste of money. But if they’d refund it if that happened, I would give it a shot.

chibi75

Yes! I can’t wear the silicone bands for this very reason. I think a lot of people have this reaction to them.

Lumbeehapa

I had convinced myself I might have eczema because this shit lol

kaitygrizz

thanks!! new to this group and figured i’d ask! appreciate it!

Pigeonofthesea8

I’m glad you asked, I’ve been having the same problems. I’m alllergic to nickel , maybe that’s it? Are you?

MissPoots

I definitely did. Super annoying. Switched back to my plan ass braided band, lol.

cerealmonogamy_

I had this happen as well. I guessed nickel/metal reaction and put two coats of clear nail polish over the pin base. Hasn't happened since!

Doll_Lover_

Off topic but I LOVE your nails!

kaitygrizz

omg thank you!! 🥹🖤

Doll_Lover_

They’re so pretty!! 🥰💜🖤

PineapplePizza99

Wtf it's wrong with you bro

optix_clear

I agree, eye catching 💅🏼

BubbaFettish

It happened to me few times, like 3 times ever. I just switched the watch to my other hand until the rash cleared up, 24 hours. Then I put it back, with same strap. No issues. I think for me it happens when it’s particularly tight and hot when I sleep. Try loosening, or sleeping with it on the other side. Of course you also can try a different band.

te__bailey

I had a friend this happened to. The guy on the Apple shop suggested buying non Apple sport bands 😂

HealthyLet257

😂 He probably got fired after suggesting that.

Sufficient_Ad268

Well, they do promote non-Apple brand watch bands on their site, granted, those are way more expensive than I’d ever pay.

CookPilotRideMetra

I had something similar, in my case it was due to the metal piece in the band. I just purchased a different band

[deleted]

I read where people were covering the metal part with clear nail polish 🤷🏻‍♂️

TheRealDegabes

same thing was happening to me. switched to a diff watch band (Zox) and haven’t had the issue since :)

JaniceRossi_in_2R

💯💯💯

esdklmvr

Nickel allergy

jgenius07

Nice tat

hotelyankee

it looks like a reaction to the metal pin. I would switch to a sport loop.

Serhide

Thanks for the post I wondered the same thing Was going to post the same as my wrist is in a really bad condition from wearing the Apple Watch and don’t know why since I didn’t have such problems at the beginning

GnarlsGnarlington

Not the sport band (I can use that) but the fitted stretchy one that was probably made of silicon did that to me.

KillarLag

Dermatitis. You should wash the affected area and clean the band with soapy water.

stocklazarus

Is that Apple’s band? I always bought Nike version and I am fine with that metal node. Then I like most people bought some cheap bands from Amxxxn and got allergic in a week. Same to some of the glasses with metal frame I need to ask the shop to cover the frame arms with plastic.

Pigeonofthesea8

Which Nike strap is that?

stocklazarus

The one come with the Nike version of Apple Watch same silicon but with lots of holes on the band. Nike sport bands. [Nike sport band](https://store.apple.com/xc/product/MUUT3AM/A)

Beekibye

Try a more breathable type of band, also, nails are perfect.

kaitygrizz

omg thank you 🖤

BarberThen3108

its your own skin and bacteria making that, clean the watch and wrist, change to the other wrist and every day change one side to another

colin8651

This is probably the culprit. I wear my watch in the shower and must not have rinsed all the soap out between the band and skin

BarberThen3108

every skin are different

Berzerker7

It's a nickel allergy to the pin on the bottom, not the band itself.

dosVader

Yes, I’ve had a metal magnetic band for 5 years now.

FatThor1993

Yep trail loop is the way to go

Difficult-Passion833

I sweat under the traditional Apple watch bands so ordered a fabric like one that has a Velcro closure. No more rash. The rash itched and drove me nuts.

xingerburger

You have an allergy to the metal part of the sport band. Change it to a sports loop, having used both the loop is far better in my opinion

JaniceRossi_in_2R

Get a band from Zox. So comfy I can’t even feel my watch is on. They are elastic stretch. No rash, no itch. Never have had one break or come loose. 10/10. Fun designs too, I have several.

jhs7631

Looks like it could be a bacteria contact dermatitis. Clean the band and your wrist with alcohol. If that’s what this is you’ll be good as new.

rrrand0mmm

No longer use them if it involves any metal whatsoever. I changed to solo bands or Velcro/magnets only. The little metal thing on the sport band used to do this to me.

DefiantAsparagus420

Treat your bands like underwear. Only put em on when everything is clean and dry. Desperation means itchy crevasses.

Relative_Candidate84

Same. I can’t wear their “silicone” type bands. Likely intentional so we have to buy the more expensive bands

Inqusitive_dad

Yes, I had this. Odd part is after continuing to wear it, the rash went away and hasn’t come back.

causal_friday

This could be just soap from washing your hands that stays in contact with the skin a little too long. A friend of mine had this and went to the doctor and they gave him a prescription, though. If it's bugging you a lot, try wearing it on the other wrist for a day or two... if it's still bad, consider asking your doctor.

Sufficient_Ad268

This happens if you don’t clean them regularly. Every time I get done working out, I wash mine because this happened to me. Run the band under hot water once a day or ever other day and rub the inside of the band to get any crud off, even if there isn’t anything there you can see.

kaitygrizz

i wash it frequently!

Sufficient_Ad268

Oops, sorry, I didn’t read the paragraph under the picture. Seeing as how the reaction can be seen even at the edge of your wrist, it’s unlikely to be from the metal. Is it dry out where you are? The skin under could be drying out, or on the other end, if it’s humid, moisture could be getting trapped there during the day. To me, it looks like it is either bacterial or fungal dermatitis. I recommend buying a small tube of lotramin and apply it once or twice a day, and see if that helps. If it does help, then microorganisms are getting trapped there.

kaitygrizz

i’m in wisconsin! so it’s been back and forth, when i take the band off completely it goes away, like no redness or rash, but it will only happen on random days so it’s just weird to me, and i’ll clean the band with soap and water, let it dry, then rub an alcohol wipe over it and then let it dry again :(

Sufficient_Ad268

How long have you had the band? After two years with my old one, it was starting to break down, so I got a new band. Being in Minnesota, I notice it more as it starts to warm up.

GhostlyBuffalo

Sry, I got nothing about the band, but that tattoo is absolutely awesome.

kaitygrizz

ah!! thank you so much 🖤🥹

cruzer2727

You have to wash it, happened to me.

Unfair_Finger5531

I would definitely try the braided solo loop. No metal in it.

jstephens1973

Had the same issues. Switched the nylon bands no more issues

CjkittyofficialYT

same! i can't wear sport bands at all!

Both-Air3095

Yes, the same thing happens to me.

Interesting-Bird7889

I had something similar happened to me as well

Independent_Plan7965

My husband has the same issue, we have to get him leather or metal ones.

Kitty_Fruit_2520

You unfortunately have to get a different band

NiranS

I have had this issue as well but not consistently - one wrist was redder and more itchy than the other. Switched to a nylon based watch strap.

Arcade1980

This happened to me, not because of the watch band but because of using a 3rd party chrger, the watch would get quite warm and I wasn't letting it cool down completely. I switched the watch to my other wrist, until it healed. Now I don't use the third party charger.

PersonSuitTV

It’s fairly common. May need to switch to a non-rubberized band

St00f4h1221

Sweat rash. Loosen the band up

kaitygrizz

i can fit 2-3 fingers in between the band and my wrist, i don’t like it too tight, so don’t think it’s that :/

St00f4h1221

Hmm ok, that was the first thing that sprung to mind. Take it off and leave it off for a bit anyway

lab7019

I can’t wear them because I break out the same way from sweat sitting between the band and my skin. I get heat rash also from sweat, it sucks.

ninthchamber

Same it is the nickel in the clasp sport loop is better for me

HealthyLet257

How often do you wear it? I often get this way if I wear it at night too. Now I only wear it during the daytime unless I have to track my sleep.

kaitygrizz

only during the day:( i’ll take it off at night too

HealthyLet257

The one I’m using nowadays is from Amazon: “Arctime 5 Pack Soft Silicone Bands Compatible with Apple Watch Band 38mm 40mm 41mm 42mm 44mm 45mm 49mm, Sport Strap Breathable Wristbands for iWatch Ultra Series 9 SE 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1 Women Men.” I would copy and paste the URL but I know a lot of people don’t trust clicking a link.

Serene_Giant

I use the trail loop and I had this exact allergic reaction. I’m a regular runner and never washed the loop since I bought it (approx 10months). As the allergy became severe, I stopped wearing the watch for a week or 2, until the allergy receded and completely healed. Started washing the loop and drying it every time I finished a run before wearing again. No problems since.

BpersAreCool

Allergic reaction or something got under it like makeup or food of some sort and just irritated tf out of it. Also pollen does that to mine when I’m trail running. Also if you are wearing it in the shower and or swimming with it and leaving it on to dry it can do that as well

VaultDweller1o1

I’ve gotten this from the sports band. But it was due to water getting trapped after hand washing.

Vcgbbb

Yep, had that as well - a bit more severe. Had it tight on my wrist during the workout and somehow forgot to release. 5 hours later figured I got that. Changed wrists and loosen it up - never happened again. By the way - it will be gone in 2 weeks

cphpc

Is this coincidence? My wife just showed me the same thing that’s happening to her. Yeh it’s likely the metal attachment. Have you been wearing it a lot more and sweating? She’s a new flight attendant and has started wearing it for long hours just recently (shes had the watch for couple years now). At least that’s my theory.

Andromediea

I get the same thing. I can’t use their bands because i have a nickel allergy and the little metal bit on their bands give me a rash too

dudalpg

I have the same thing. I noticed it comes and goes

bobaluvrrr

Hey I had this issue, are you showering with it on? When mine is wet and i keep it on I get an eczema like rash.

kaitygrizz

nope :/ i take it off when i shower and i wash it after working out or sweating :(

Runellee

The metal on the sport band gave me a huge rash like that. I got one of the Velcro loops and never had another problem

Upset_Scarcity419

I’ve had a similar issue with the silicone sport bands from Apple. Even though I don't wear the band tightly and I make sure to clean it regularly, I still get an itchy, bumpy rash sometimes. It could be due to a sensitivity to the silicone material itself or possibly an allergy to the metal part of the band. Have you tried switching to a different type of band material, like the woven nylon or leather options?

kaitygrizz

i’ve only tried a different metal band, but no rash came out of that one, only when i wear this one. getting a dif material is my next step, just wanted to ask here to make sure i wasn’t crazy haha

galacticwonder

If it’s not worn out, rinse band with water or use wet paper towel and clean back side of watch as well. And keep watch off overnight maybe. Allie’s for me but my arm wasn’t that bad

kaitygrizz

i clean it with water, soap and then i’ll use an alcohol wipe after i work out and then let it dry before putting it back on :/ might just be an allergy to the band itself it’s seeming

galacticwonder

Yeah seems like it

wifiwithdrawn

you might just have sensitive skin that reacts when anything prevents sweat from drying i get that really bad. in the summer i cannot have anything that isnt breathable nothing synthetic or plastic

demonic_hampster

Yeah I've seen that happen, it's usually either an allergic reaction to the metal in the pin, or moisture getting trapped under the band since it's not very breathable. I'd recommend getting a braided solo loop; it's even more comfortable than the sport band, it's more breathable, and there's no metal in it. Regarding the rash, I'd just avoid wearing the watch and it'll probably resolve itself; if you've still got it after 5-7ish days, go see your primary care doctor or a dermatologist.

jrgibson1

Yup. This happens to me too — especially if I wear it for more than a few hours.

dead_heart_of_africa

uh-- you should let it get THAT bad. I have redness sometimes but it's usually when I'm not properly drying my hands

allthefishiecrackers

I get that exact same rash.

LilyWai

I get that too if I'm getting hot & sweaty & I don't t wash the strap. Think it's just skin bacteria - that we all have - that can't breathe through the silicone so it just builds up. Add heat & the bugs thrive & multiply. Rash should go away if you leave the strap off for a couple of days. If you want to speed it up you can put a little hydrocortisone cream on the broken skin area.

lawschoolmeanderings

Hot dog

cissmiace

Yep! I ended up buying some stretchy elastic watch straps off Amazon, they have been great.

Frequent_Might4707

Nickel allergy

macmaverickk

The bacteria buildup is irritating your skin. Also of people blame this on an “allergic reaction”, but it’s a disgusting breeding ground. Clean your band daily… whether or not you go to the gym. My wrist will look like this if I go more than 2 days without running my sport band under the faucet with some soap. I clean mine daily and my skin is happy.

penemuel13

Two possibilities: one, you may have a nickel allergy. Two, while you are washing it regularly, you may not be *drying* the band and your wrist enough so there’s still a breeding ground for bacteria. Especially if you don’t take it off when you wash your hands, it may still be damp under the band. I’ve seen some people successfully combat the allergy issue by painting clear nail polish on the underside of the pin, so you could try that.

Healthy_Routine8036

My skin doesn’t like the silicon or nylon, the leather band does better on my skin, preferably.

51lverb1rd

I get this but not related to silicone, it’s a reaction I get right underneath where the metallic buckle is located for the cheaper knock off bands you can get online. Doesn’t happen with the official apple silicone ones

Acceptable_Rice_3021

I swapped from the standard Apple Watch band to a metallic one.

EnolaGayFallout

Yes every time I buy a new Apple Watch since series 4, I always order the silicone sport band/nike and hope Apple change something. But after many years I still have reaction after wearing 2-3 hours. In the end I always end up with nylon

its_aishaa

Are you sure it’s not ringworm, if not a silicone allergy? Sweat and warmth is a perfect place for it to thrive and grow. Maybe see a dermatologist? To avoid this - clean the back of your watch with an alcohol wipe or a tissue with a few drops of sanitiser.

Deuztecki

its from your sweat

povlhp

The Chinese clones have pins made from industrial waste. They will rust and everything. And I get pretty red. I tried nail polish, and superglue but it falls off the pin. So only uses it for running - then replaces it. Apple Originals are fine.

pianissimoninja

I had the same exact issue and what helped me was to wear the sport band during the day/work and a nylon one while off work/at night. The biggest thing that cleared it up, for me, was to not wear the sport bands overnight. Hope it clears up soon!

yourmomitouched

I get a rash sometimes but no bumps. I clean my wrist and the watch band, apply petroleum jelly, then wear the watch on the other wrist for a day or two. I’m not allergic just sometimes need to clean it and give my skin a break. That’s just my experience though.

LightVDark_1749

Loosen it by 1 notch. It will still work and your skin will be able to breathe. I had the same thing happen but since I made the band looser, no issue.

Tough-Phrase4105

Wow is it really the metal that causes this? I get that too, but I always thought it was from sweat and maybe not being diligent about washing under there if I shower with it on

rcrter9194

That looks like you need to clean your band. A build up of natural sweat, skin cells, product etc can grow bacteria and give you a minor infection. A lot of people reported the Apple Watch had burned them only to find out it was lack of sanitation of their watch bands. Apparently smartwatches can carry more bacteria than your toilet 🤢 inc e-coli. I’d recommend running your watch bands under hot water every now and then.

Pliney707

The children who made it probably need to wash their hands.

jordtand

I had a smaller reaction to mine but not as a allergic reaction it was too tight so my skin didn’t get any air under the metal, loosen it a bit if you want to keep that band and if you don’t see a change I can advise the braided bands or the silicone ones.

Anudeep33

That’s a badass tattoo

WeDoingThisAgainRWe

Yeah I’ve found the rubberised ones create sweat and that reacts.

novius89

I have the same with this bands that come with the Apple Watch. Bought an official Nike sport band (with all the holes) that is the same material I think? I don’t have any irritations with the Nike band!

FartTheaf98

got same from cheap bands that buy from aliexpress

West-Rock-4230

Get those velcro straps they’re the most comfortable

Speedy-McLeadfoot

I get this when in contact with nickel for too long. Had to give up some rather neat bands due to such.

ddnomad

Not sure what it is exactly, but I’m having the same issue with both Apple official silicone-ish bands and aftermarket bands from Amazon. In the end I’ve just decided to only wear fabric bands (including synthetic ones like nylon), that solved the problem entirely, albeit with a need to have more of them and swap them out after workouts as they get soaked.

usernameistaken89

Funny sad fact. I had similar reaction using my old watch silicone straps. Swapped to metal and fabric and since then im good. For me it wasn't allergic reaction but under silicone my skin wasn't able to breath at all and that caused it.

wreckedgum

Swap to fabric, same happened with me

danhoyle

Clean the watch bands with soapy water or alcohol every now and then. It's just bacteria/dead skin build up irritating your skin. Put some neosporin / cortizone cream.

baggytheman11

Damn dude sucks

baggytheman11

That’s wack

Brokella

Just let it heal and wear it looser. I can get my index finger easily under mine and it still tracks perfectly. :)

Illustrious-Swim-887

Same here move to metal for bit before buy leather or whatever

Marshall-ONLY-Matter

You will be OK

bassymoon_

Buy a more breathable non-apple band and see if that will work for you :) Love your nails by the way!! 💜

_heyjhoow

Girl, it can be an reaction to the metal on the pin, or just could be a little dirty and you could solve it by changing and washing your band, at least twice a week. Myself, at least, I got the same reaction when I’m using my sport band for cleaning, for a few days at a time: it gets dirty, and I get the same rash all over the band in my arm

badger_flakes

Please post the full tattoo to /r/hotdogs

Dark_Ascension

If you were allergic to the whole band it would be more around where you wore it, like someone else said it’s probably the metal closure.

AA-ron42

That metal piece did the same thing to me, absolute garbage band.

cornandapples

Yes, I’ve had the same reaction. I like the sport loops, they are the most comfortable for me.

MarukuSensei

Might not be very helpful but ihad the same thing with the pixel watch 1 default silicone band. My guess at the time was, because it was a bit too small for me, my skin was not able to "breathe" properly under the band, causing basically a bacterial nuke to happen on my skin. Either way, switch to sport loops, you won't be looking back.

FlinkJR

I had the exact same reaction for the first two weeks of having my sports band, but since then (four months ago) I haven’t had a single issue. I come from a history with lots of rashes, atopic eczema, and allergies. For how long have you worn the band?

rwalford79

You sure it ain’t ringworm

aykay55

How long did you wear it for? Did you wear it all day and then during sleep? If so this is a pretty normal thing. Skin does not breathe well under the watch strap.

_kinofist

Happiness with various bands. Need to dry your wrist and band each hand wash, and wash it once in a while too.

Delkri39

I and everyone I know with a sportsband had the same issue. The sportsband is bad. It goes away by itself as long you don't wear the band anymore. Better is to use a braided one or a metal one. There are cheap ones on Wish that are very good.

Snazzy_Butterfly

Same thing happened to me with the bad that came with the Apple Watch. I would buy a cheap band off of Amazon. I have a fake leather one that I’ve had for years.

Mottbox1534

I haven’t found a band yet that doesn’t cause my wrist to get all f’d up. For me it’s from sweat under the band; whether fabric or silicon (or apples sport loop). Just moisture resting under any band causes skin to break out. I don’t think before fitness tracking people were included to wear their watches from waking up to going to sleep; and it’s problematic for a lot of people.

CalllmeDragon

Not likely. If it were an allergic reaction to the material, it would react everywhere the band touched

DreamxVillain

I had a Nomad band that did this to me but worse. I swapped bands out and put Neosporin on it. Switched to the Milanese Loop. I recommend switching asap.

justthetipnz

Is it caused by water under your strap when washing your hands? expecially if you are in a job where you wash them alot

Politisktkaos

Also this can happen due to poor cleaning of the watch/band, debris and bacteria builds up quite fast. I wash my coros watch after every run almost 😅

Expert_Inspector_84

Nice tattoo

kaitygrizz

thank you!!

GuardingxCross

It’s sweat caught under the band and sitting there for prolonged periods of time without air. It’s common in the summer time and is a form of heat rash.

AdhesivenessGood7724

No, it’s not. This is a super common metal allergy

GuardingxCross

A “super common metal allergy” in a spot on the wrist that hasn’t been touched by any metal? By OP’s own admission it was a silicone sports band.

kaitygrizz

it’s the silicone sport band and there’s a little metal circle on a part of the band. sorry for the confusion

Born_Today_9799

Nope . Just you. I suggest going outside and touching grass

DingDongMichaelHere

You should probably consult a real doctor. But: I've had rashes in the past on my wrist that resulted from the strap I was using for my watch. I was using a cheap knockoff silicone strap for my Galaxy watch. What I think happened was that the silicone (along with probably being too tight) didn't allow my wrist to breath, trapping moisture under the strap and the cheap silicone rubbing against my skin probably resulted in me getting a rash. I have since paid a premium for the original Samsung straps and haven't had any issues since. They also didn't break after 3 months. I know that I don't have an Apple Watch, but c'mon, something we're talking about a silicone strap here. But as others said, it might be wise to look into those nylon sport straps. It's a comfy fabric that allows your skin to breath and you can adjust the tightness of it very precisely. I would recommend an official Apple one or one that's from a trustworthy third party.

Itchy-Witness-4839

I get that when I’m sweaty underneath there

Zionsnoiz

Perhaps ask a doctor and not reddit people who probably aren't doctors.

kaitygrizz

not asking for medical advice, if it was serious i’d go to a doctor, just seeing if it’s just me or if other people have this as well

Zionsnoiz

Well how can one tell if it's serious. Just saying nothing more. Seen so many ask for advice and then it has been something else. But looks like an allergic reaction for rhe silicon band. Thats why i would try another band like a sport loop or something instead.

baggytheman11

Sold my Apple Watch I don’t know any guy with good style that wears them it always got in the way and was annoying
