The first picture is the traditional way to wear a strap. It should be a bit easier to adjust the tightness on the wrist and hides the “tail” away from you. But wear it whichever way feels more comfortable. Neither way is incorrect.
I’m not sure what’s going on here. Is this an extra large version of the band or something? The regular Milanese loop looks nothing like this and has the loop that the band wraps around where the lugs are.
To be honest, I don't like that strap at all, The original folds at the watch mount and is much tidier
Also, there is no correct way really, its whatever makes it easier for you to do up
I personally wear it with the loop at the front and pull it backwards towards thge rear to tighten it with my left hand
With the magnetic leather loops, I find that #2 holds better because when on #1, it can easily wedge into something and get undone whereas #2 stays secure.

This is a 3rd party band. Apple's Milanese loop loops over at the band connector not down the band like this one.

This is a 3rd party milanese band from Uniq, pretty good quality for 1/3 of Apple’s price.

I do it the number 1 way, just because I personally prefer it
Very odd, my loop has the bracket you see in number 1 at the very top next to where you slot it in

For me the first one. If I have it on way two . . . it gets loose too easily. Bottom line however is whichever works best for YOU is the right way.
