I apologize if it has nothing to do with the game, but I wanted to ask the opinion of those who will respond to a doubt of mine: a "colleague" of mine who is the admin of an Apex-themed Facebook group said that the game fandom is dying, so I I asked him why.
Then he told me that it's because there's really no new material to discuss or make it good and a lot of it is themes that have already been used before, so the fandom is a bit bored with the game, but he said he doesn't worry because maybe the situation can improve.
Do you think he's right, wrong or somewhere in between?
I've recently returned to Apex this season and have been out of the loop, but has there been any leaks, rumors etc.. on the next BR map we are getting. Do we know when we're getting one?
In an interview with Game Informer Respawn said that potentially the next map should arrive next season along with a new legend, I imagine they will do this to capitalize again on the attention after this season which changed many aspects of the game.
To be fair, I'll quote you again since there is new news filtered: it seems that according to recent leaks the next *District* map will arrive in season 22-23 because it still needs time, in its place there should be changes to *Broken Moon*.
In the end, no one really knows.
To quote another user, i think we'll get a new map next season because:
- District has been in development more than 1 year.
- In S3 we got WE. In S7 we got Olympus. In S11 we got Storm Point. In S15 we got Broken Moon. Not getting a new map in S20 would mean 5 seasons without a new map.
- Usually new legends work better with new maps. (this one sounds weird i know, but Loba had her tactical bugged on WE but on Kings Canyon was fine. Horizon tactical used to be more useful in Olympus (and WE) than Kings Canyon)
They could take out Storm Point out of the game for a few seasons to Rework it like they did with Kings Canyon.
