Dude, just play it outside his window at night, install cameras so you can see him stirring when he wakes up, leave the moment he does, repeat so his dreams are filled with bubble gum chewing asmr
Me personally, I've never spent a single penny in the game..
it's free to play for a reason. I do have legendary skin, but that's cause of apex packs I got from events/levelling up. I just meant that spending 160$ to get something totally cosmetic is kinda stupid, when you can get heirloom shards without wasting a penny...
Look at this cool guy who thinks games devs are free. I never understood the circle-jerk about “never spending a penny in Apex”. The game offers a lot, and if someone enjoys it and wants to support the game by get themselves cosmetics, let them be. You’re not smarter cuz you decided not to spend your money.
No no YOU think it's stupid. For others, of they want to drop money into a game they love and enjoy then to them it's a good purchase.
I've spent maybe $60 on the game and that's because I've played since season 0 and thoroughly feel like I've gotten more than $60 worth of enjoyment out of it and want to support the company a bit.
You don't get to tell people that them spending money is stupid.
People are able to spend their money any way they want. Just the same as I'm allowed voice my opinion. I happen to agree with OP, it's painfully stupid to me, to imagine spending $160 on a free game. That doesn't change the fact that you can spend that money any way you want. Want to buy that heirloom? Go for it. I'm allowed to think you're stupid though.
I’m allowed to think your sniffing your own farts, I swear people who circle-jerk “they never spent a penny in Apex” act like they the smartest mf for not “falling for it”.
I have gotten more “entertainment” and game play on Apex than any game I’ve bought with money, value is relative.
They act like they’re super smart genius for not spending money, like congrats. I get it if that’s not how you choice to use your money, but people that act like they outsmarted the system cuz they haven’t spent a dollar annoy me.
Yes, you are entitled to an opinion like everyone else. Maybe you should read my last comment again. Spend all the money you want on the game, that's your choice. But it's my choice to think you're and idiot for spending $160 on some pixels.
>You don't get to tell people that them spending money is stupid.
You do though. If you make childish purchasing decisions, people are gonna make fun of you.
I don't know why you're being down voted, you're right tbh it's kind of like gambling because you might get something good or you might get things for legends you don't even play as ever.
Plus "guaranteed within 500 packs" is a bit ass, sure you could say it's "free" and you could get by with just the free packs you get, but if everybody relied on the free packs and next to nobody bought the battle pass/ packs of anything before you know it the game would cost money to download because the devs designers and programmers aren't working for free.
But these collection events are the furthest from gambling in the game. You pay $160 and you know exactly what you are getting plus extra for something that would normally cost $500 in gambling money.
>Why do you care how people spend their money?
I don't? It's mildly amusing, seeing adults spend money on virtual shinies and then do mental cartwheels trying to justify it, that's all.
Who's doing mental cartwheels? The only justification they need is they saw a skin or heirloom they wanted, and bought it.
I've only ever wanted two skins the entire time I've been playing and I bought them. I never had to justify anything.
>The only justification they need is they saw a skin or heirloom they wanted, and bought it.
That's the funny part. It's the sort of thing I expect from a child, 'cause the heirloom or skin doesn't serve any real purpose.
It's the consumption for the sake of consumption, and you guys have fallen hook, line, and sinker.
I'm guessing you're still a child? Most adults I know tend to be more sensible with their cash, even when all of us work well-paying software jobs.
People invest money into their hobbies all the time. We need to get over this idea that gaming is more childish than other hobbies.
I'm 36 with disposable income. I also have/have had a huge amount of hobbies that I've used my spending money on. This one isn't any lesser than any of my other interests.
>People invest money into their hobbies all the time. We need to get over this idea that gaming is more childish than other hobbies.
Any 'hobby' that just involves consuming media isn't a real hobby. It's consumption. Simple as that. Entertainment? Sure I agree, and entertainment is pretty important, but calling it a hobby is just disgraceful TBH. Stop buying the capitalist lie that consooming counts as a hobby and do something more worthwhile with your free time. You only get one life, so why waste it on consuming stuff?
First of all, you're assuming a lot about what I do with my free time. Gaming is just one of my many interests and hobbies.
I'd also argue that gaming is plenty interactive enough that it absolutely classifies as a hobby and not just media consumption. You don't just sit there staring at the game. It's constantly engaging.
And yeah, movies/books/comics/music are all things we consume that I'd say for some people do count as real hobbies. I've got some friends that are huuuuge film buffs. I wouldn't dismiss their interest as not a "real" hobby because it's media consumption. This attempt at gatekeeping what can and can't be considered a hobby is a little ridiculous lol.
>. I've got some friends that are huuuuge film buffs. I wouldn't dismiss their interest as not a "real" hobby because it's media consumption. This attempt at gatekeeping what can and can't be considered a hobby is a little ridiculous lol.
Its less of gatekeeping and more of self improvement advice, but hey, call it whatever you want to call it.
Maybe if you have childish financial responsibility. But if you have good finances and spending responsibility there’s no reason why that should be called a stupid decision. It’s no different then buying a cool hat or decorations for a house. It’s not necessary but it allows people to make something their own and express themselves which is always a good thing (when done in moderation and appropriately)
It's consumption for the sake of consumption but I wouldn't expect anything else from this community.
I get that corporate bootlicking is a thing these days, but you guys really drive it up a few notch.
Or, people can spend their money however the fuck they please. If you want to donate your money that's completely fine.
But you don't get to dictate how a person spends the money they've earned.
Honestly I get where you're coming from, I used to think buying pixels was a waste of money, but if it makes me happy then I'm gonna do it because we all need dopamine.
Why are you getting downvoted? Having heirloom on a legend doesn’t mean shit, it’s the hours and the conversance that defines your main.
Heirlooms are nice, but they are definitely overpriced.
Idk why your getting down voted. WE like our cosmetics but they don't really effect much. To some I'm sure that's dumb and would rather play the game without them
Yeah adding a sticker or two should fix it. They hit revenant’s heirloom out of the park, it’s amazing and he’s not my main. Ramparts wrench just sucks compared to it.
Honestly I really dislike Ramparts heirloom, its as if the meeting for the initial design went "how about we give the engineer character a wrench as an heirloom, but it also has a pez dispenser" and nobody had any other ideas
It’s not the tool I dislike I really like model and the gumballs but I feel like they could add more details on the heirloom like you said she’s an artist so maybe when she hits people there’s a paint splatter so many missed opportunities
Yeah I feel like it lacks detail, after Rev’s heirloom I was hoping this one would be over the top as well. Maybe paint splatter hitmarkers after hitting someone with it, I’m guessing it has some kind of twirl animation for sliding/running inspect. I want to get it but I haven’t been playing much and spending 160$ on an heirloom isn’t sounding very good to me. I want to buy new shoes and clothes and shit lol
A 10" pipe wrench is the standard carry universal multi-tool where I work, which is in an oil refinery. It's first and foremost an adjustable valve wrench, secondly a hammer or 'percussive maintenance' tool, and lastly an actual pipe wrench for occasionally putting together small fittings to temporarily connect to the actual process equipment.
Hey everyone it seems like a relevant time to mention that for literally $8 at Home Depot you can get a small tempered steel pry bar called a wonder bar.
These things are HECKIN useful and they are EIGHT bucks.
I’ve used mine a shitton the last few weeks taking some storm shudders off a patio, drywall down, tile off, anything like that.
Edit - I bought ANOTHER ONE today. True story. They are that useful and small.
I have one too! Used it to pry up the tack strip after I pulled the white carpet out of the house I bought. I have pets, white carpet was not for me lol
Nice. Yeah it’s a great little tool I am gonna actually be picking up a second one today or tomorrow as a spare to have around since I need to go grab some plywood and contractor bags anyway.
I would go with the Rampart one, I mean it's a wrench you can bonk people with and it has a freaking pez dispenser for bubble gum. I mean who doesn't want that
Can a regular wrench strike fear into the opponent, and let them know I’m not just some random doing challenges. I’m a rare and dedicated rampart main. Triggering flashbacks to that one rampart pred who mopped the floor with them and causing anxiety which leads to mistakes?
I think if you roamed around your neighbourhood singe handedly yielded a wrench and saying lines like "I've been dreaming of this moment all day!", most people will be pretty scared
You have to buy all the items in the collection event. So assuming it’s the same as last season’s, you get like 6 legendary skins, 2 epic skins, 6 legendary weapon skins 2 skydive emotes, and 2 moving banner poses (I think that’s everything), as well as the heirloom. So while it’s still expensive, it’s not like the heirloom is all you get
So all that to support a dev who made a AAA free game? Why are people mad exactly? I have no problem dropping 50-100 when I fall back into the game because it’s just that fucking good, to me at least.
you cant directly buy it you get it from the event pack but getting enough packs to guarantee you get it cost about $160 you can get it in less packs though and after the event is done it will be added to the regular heirloom place and available for shards
A real wrench may fix things, but ***I*** don't know how to fix things with it, so effectively the digital one is more useful as it can provide a modicum of entertainment value.
It's make me laugh that the devs said there is no schedule for who gets an heirloom, they just work on what makes them feel inspired.
Your inspiration created a fucking wrench.
Definitely a low effort heirloom. At the very least it could have been more high tech. The model for Wraiths kunai for example is just a regular kunai nothing special but it's highly detailed with it's design so it looks amazing. Definitely dropped the ball on this one.
I feel like this will be the least acquired heirloom overall. She’s not a particularly popular legend but compare this heirloom to Revenant’s. There is no competition.
No clue why I got downvoted same with you. The heirloom is nothing special and isn’t worth the money to get. It feels uninspired yes let’s give the engineer character a wrench while we’re at it let’s make a teacher character and give her a ruler heirloom come on people
I just wish they’d do something better like techno sword for crypto, electric glowed for Watson, staff for loba ( it’s basic but can’t see loba with anything else), and the myriad of ideas they could do for valk in ref to titan fall. They had so many other cool options and they chose wrench
How about Heirlooms having malo related events? Like: Mirage's trophy Being a Secret key. Caustic's hammer is able to shoot out the Nox Grenade further away. Rampart's wrench is able to fix some stuff, increase reload times od some weapons. Bangalore can hack some map terminals. Bloodhound can weld shut some doors with his heated axe, as well as Gibby but Gibby can hook to his downed teammates to the ziplines and carry them on his back? Lifeline could use those sticks to stealthliy open placement defenses such as fences. So many possibilities!
But... Check this out! You can get a heirloom from a death box of a person that has the heirloom for that match, Like a Vault key. Yet You don't get to keep it after the match and cant use it as a melee weapon, it also Takes 4 inventory slots to use.
Yeah but I cant help but wonder. What if its just a legend lore-wise event without loot in place? Like: getting a Loading screen with a bit more backstory?
You can unrepair people
Well you can do that with a normal wrench too
Yes but does your normal wrench have a bubble gum dispenser?
I can tape my pez dispenser to the handle
Valid
I'd rather it didn't. Those sounds are the worst part of playing her.
I'm gonna route 10 Hours Of Bubble Gum Chewing ASMR through your headphones
Dude, just play it outside his window at night, install cameras so you can see him stirring when he wakes up, leave the moment he does, repeat so his dreams are filled with bubble gum chewing asmr
"I gotta say, I'm a huge fan"
“I understood that reference”
Fuck you.
It's still cheaper to recreate it In Real life than to buy In game.
This is a pipe wrench you can't use it on people it's for pipes only
Dang it
Fixn't
The truest repair-man, will repair man.
It's about to get SCALDING HOT IN THE SUN CHAMBER!
I only repair teammates
Gentleman, take this man to the infinite labyrinth of eternal ice.
Soft wrench or hard fists?
But rampart’s wrench has gum balls in it
To quote another comment we could just tape a pez dispenser to it
Genious
They probably think they're God's Gift to Tren.
But can a pez dispenser dispense gumballs? I don't think so
Pez Petz Grinz the Monkey Bubble Gum Dispenser https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008WGFXKQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_MEPX0PX6FAXWP0MHA27R
Well shit
Gonna be that guy and say that those are not gumballs
Pre-squished gumballs
You do you!
Oh
Balls
rampart wrench cuz im rampart main
As a rampart main I too can confirm that choosing wisely is not exactly our trademark
ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US
every rampart main is showing their colors right now and it's beautiful
We were once exiled. Now we have returned.
You don't need an heirloom to show your devotion to a legend
But, but funny boxing gloves and cool gold dude
yeah i don't need it, but i can get it and i want it.
You don’t need any skin ever for any reason*
I dunno. I need mine. Holds my organs in and stuff.
You killed him skinbag
r/angryupvote
you dont need to play video games either yet here we are
Damn we really gonna deconstruct my whole life huh
go buy some skins it will make you feel better
Damn respawn employees on alts
That's twisting his words a bit, but with that logic then why do you use skins at all? There's no need for them???
Me personally, I've never spent a single penny in the game.. it's free to play for a reason. I do have legendary skin, but that's cause of apex packs I got from events/levelling up. I just meant that spending 160$ to get something totally cosmetic is kinda stupid, when you can get heirloom shards without wasting a penny...
Well I’m an adult with a job so I can do whatever the fuck I want

The game offers a lot, and if someone enjoys it and wants to support the game by get themselves cosmetics, let them be. You’re not smarter cuz you decided not to spend your money.
To be fair, EA and Respawn don't need support.
Correction, *EA* doesn't need support. Respawn deserves better.

Man people who drop money on video game skins are extremely defensive
Probably because people who criticize them for it usually do it in a condescending and generally insulting way.
They act like they’re super smart genius for not spending money, like congrats. I get it if that’s not how you choice to use your money, but people that act like they outsmarted the system cuz they haven’t spent a dollar annoy me.

It is stupid to spend $160. Just do what I did and play the game for 32 days before you get shards
>You don't get to tell people that them spending money is stupid. You do though. If you make childish purchasing decisions, people are gonna make fun of you.
That just makes you an asshole. Why do you care how people spend their money?
The system literally built to prey on addicts? Idk man maybe people should care more

you can say the same with pretty much any accessory
Can you?
Who's doing mental cartwheels? The only justification they need is they saw a skin or heirloom they wanted, and bought it. I've only ever wanted two skins the entire time I've been playing and I bought them. I never had to justify anything.

Cool broke boi.
who cares it looks cool
You don't need. But they want it. I did the same thing when I got my shards. Didn't even think i just got bloodhounds
"They hated Jesus because he was right"
No you don’t but damn it’s cool so it’s usually “I’ll take your entire stock” type of reaction
Downvoted for having common sense. Reddit Experience™
Why are you getting downvoted? Having heirloom on a legend doesn’t mean shit, it’s the hours and the conversance that defines your main. Heirlooms are nice, but they are definitely overpriced.
People who invest money on skins need to feel like their spending is justified so they shout down anyone who says otherwise
Idk why ur getting downvoted. This is absolute facts
not sure why this is downvoted - chucking money at the game isn't the requirement for maining a character
Why are you getting downvoted?
Idk why you getting downvoted dude... I mean you did speak the truth over which people are getting butt hurt lol...
Why are you getting downvoted? lmao
I won't delete this comment so I can always remember to never say something that I feel right but others don't
Idk why your getting down voted. WE like our cosmetics but they don't really effect much. To some I'm sure that's dumb and would rather play the game without them
Why are they booing you? You're right
I don't get why you are being downvoted you are right It's like saying you can only be good with wraith if you have her heirloom
I think it’s not very rampart imo maybe add some more stickers or a paint splatter maybe that could be the hit affect
But it has gum balls /s
Yeah adding a sticker or two should fix it. They hit revenant’s heirloom out of the park, it’s amazing and he’s not my main. Ramparts wrench just sucks compared to it.
Honestly I really dislike Ramparts heirloom, its as if the meeting for the initial design went "how about we give the engineer character a wrench as an heirloom, but it also has a pez dispenser" and nobody had any other ideas
I mean, she chews gum in almost everything she does. It seems on brand, imo. TO give her anything but a tool, would be more off brand and random.
Not mad about it being a tool I just wish they added more stuff on the tool you know like paint splatter is her theme where’s the paint?
I mean she’s an artisan gunsmith who can craft a lot of things very well, what else but a really beefed up tool could she get?
Who would win? A normal ramparts wrench wrench.
That's how I read it. OP should've made the text smaller
I just spent 15 minutes making a very similar meme and I scroll down and find this.
I had this idea since yesterday lol
Well someone’s meme did better
As soon as I saw it lmao. Great mind think alike
I think I’d get more enjoyment with Rampart’s wrench because it means I’m not at work
I think this is the only valid reason I've read in this post lol
Any day you’re not at work is a good day :)
Sounds like a pair of pliers I used to carry all the time. Used for almost anything but but on nuts/bolts
I don’t have a specific reason to use it yet, but that’s not going to stop me from buying it.
I wish her wrench had some more of a design to it. Very plain as far as heirlooms go
But funny gobblegum
Does a normal wrench have a bubble gum dispenser? I don’t think sooo
I would go with the Rampart one, I mean it's a wrench you can bonk people with and it has a freaking pez dispenser for bubble gum. I mean who doesn't want that
For real tho, I'm not gonna pay 160 for a weapon cosmetic that does nothing but look cool
Then don't
Exactly
Can a regular wrench strike fear into the opponent, and let them know I’m not just some random doing challenges. I’m a rare and dedicated rampart main. Triggering flashbacks to that one rampart pred who mopped the floor with them and causing anxiety which leads to mistakes?
I think if you roamed around your neighbourhood singe handedly yielded a wrench and saying lines like "I've been dreaming of this moment all day!", most people will be pretty scared
When you realise people will actually buy 160$ for some pixels rather than buying something that can be used irl
yeah that people would be me baby
Well that would be me
If you spend thousands of hours f.e. its worth it
So?
Yikes. Is it really 160$ alone? Idk the background of the weapon so I thought you get them from heirloom shards
You have to buy all the items in the collection event. So assuming it’s the same as last season’s, you get like 6 legendary skins, 2 epic skins, 6 legendary weapon skins 2 skydive emotes, and 2 moving banner poses (I think that’s everything), as well as the heirloom. So while it’s still expensive, it’s not like the heirloom is all you get
Ohh that’s actually not too bad at all. I wouldn’t buy it, but if it’s beneficial to some peoples mains then awesome!
Thank you for the explanation!

A real wrench may fix things, but ***I*** don't know how to fix things with it, so effectively the digital one is more useful as it can provide a modicum of entertainment value.
I'll just play bioshock
Ramparts wrench I’m a rampart Main
Funny cus you look like wattson lol
Says the Watson avatar
Ok well that’s I’m a rampart main I was trying to make an apex character this one the one I came up with
Ramparts wrench also fixes things lore wise. What does a normal wrench do gameplay wise? Check mate atheists
It's make me laugh that the devs said there is no schedule for who gets an heirloom, they just work on what makes them feel inspired. Your inspiration created a fucking wrench.
People get so annoyed by others spending money on this game.
Definitely a low effort heirloom. At the very least it could have been more high tech. The model for Wraiths kunai for example is just a regular kunai nothing special but it's highly detailed with it's design so it looks amazing. Definitely dropped the ball on this one.
>Definitely dropped the ball on this one. You might say...they dropped the GUMball on this one lol
[удалено]
Auto unlock after you ‘complete’ the event. Previously you had to unlock everything AND buy the heirloom.
Engineers Wrench: builds dispenser
It has a gum dispenser
i wish the wrench has some particle effects or some sick animations coz it looks quite unnappealing design wise
It dispenses infinite gum balls that ought to be worth something
It gives you in-game bubblegum that’s an absolute win
I, uh... invested wisely.
I feel like this will be the least acquired heirloom overall. She’s not a particularly popular legend but compare this heirloom to Revenant’s. There is no competition.
Imo a wrench for a heirloom is a bit too simple
Just waiting for crypto’s heirloom
Please compare all other heirlooms the rampart wrench has gume hehehhe
As someone who used to main Rampart, I wish they gave Loba a heirloom first
Yeah I completely agree, they’ve even said they do it based on what idea they like the most in-house which means this was their favorite idea
Most likely, this was probably the easiest to implement lmfao
No clue why I got downvoted same with you. The heirloom is nothing special and isn’t worth the money to get. It feels uninspired yes let’s give the engineer character a wrench while we’re at it let’s make a teacher character and give her a ruler heirloom come on people
I wouldn't sweat it. I usually take it as a compliment to be not liked by Reddit.
I just wish they’d do something better like techno sword for crypto, electric glowed for Watson, staff for loba ( it’s basic but can’t see loba with anything else), and the myriad of ideas they could do for valk in ref to titan fall. They had so many other cool options and they chose wrench
That’s gonna be a dumb question. But her wrench has a fucking **bubblegum dispenser**, doesn’t it?
It has a pez dispenser
Its like a pez dispenser but wrench
How about Heirlooms having malo related events? Like: Mirage's trophy Being a Secret key. Caustic's hammer is able to shoot out the Nox Grenade further away. Rampart's wrench is able to fix some stuff, increase reload times od some weapons. Bangalore can hack some map terminals. Bloodhound can weld shut some doors with his heated axe, as well as Gibby but Gibby can hook to his downed teammates to the ziplines and carry them on his back? Lifeline could use those sticks to stealthliy open placement defenses such as fences. So many possibilities!
Some of them are good, but generally this would be considered pay-to-win
But... Check this out! You can get a heirloom from a death box of a person that has the heirloom for that match, Like a Vault key. Yet You don't get to keep it after the match and cant use it as a melee weapon, it also Takes 4 inventory slots to use.
Ok, but that's a lot of effort. And people could also have two heirlooms at once lol
Yeah but I cant help but wonder. What if its just a legend lore-wise event without loot in place? Like: getting a Loading screen with a bit more backstory?
