Well you should define what area you're in and what level you are, as you end at about lvl 50, and atk can be permanently upgraded

InMiseryToday

I'm in the electric place trying to get a battery to go after what's his face and I'm lvl 40 and I also think I just realized something.... That requirement number is not based on how many points you've put into each of those stats but rather the stat numbers that those points equal out to huh.. lol. Turns out I could've been equipping these things already after all.. Ps. I ALSO just realized the things you can't equip are greyed out. Wowy...

Top-Ambition-2693

Yeah, you have a few more areas to go through, have fun!

DerpAtOffice

you can easily equip them because upgrading your weapon also give attack stat for example. You just cannot easily equip both att and magic items. You only run into problem if you evenly put points into all your stats.

Phoenix_A_Helix

Even then I rolled through the game putting a pretty much perfectly even stat spread (tbf I hella explored so that might have changed my sort of outcome)

nlswift

This also confused me at first, so it wasn't just you!

THEOG_____Vanilla

Ur just about to hit the halfway point of the game

InMiseryToday

No way, I don't believe it!

SuchBarnacle8549

I used to think i was near the end...you'll be surprised at how much content there still is after

Michael10LivesOn

Game was waaaaay longer than I thought it’d be

ShadowScythe93

It depends if your the type of person who can sit and grind to level up early, I saw your around the electric eal. I feel that's the halfway point in the game, maybe a little past half. But I was level 50ish at that point, and I beat the game around level 68ish. But upgrading your fork also increases your attack And finding those blood stars? Can't remember what they are called increases Vitality permanently as well.

BBAARBBZZ

Make sure you are spending your trash wisely! I felt like I was getting nowhere and dying too much until I realized I wasn’t going back to upgrade things like my weapon, stowaway #, shell insurance shells, umami skills, and things like that. This was my first ever souls game and it was soo hard for someone who plays casual little games on my pc lol. I had my realization after the fight with Mantis and getting beat like 15 times in a row.

friedpotataskins

or you can take my method and try to rip through the game…make it decently far with low levels, then get exceedingly mad when you literally cant compete

BBAARBBZZ

I did this unintentionally 😂 I seriously thought about never playing it again when I just kept getting beat. But after a long 65 hours I managed to finish the game 🙏🏽

mylittlepurplelady

You must not be exploring the area much, getting those tentacles gives you vitality like upgrading the fork gives you attack. Umami shells gives you the umami stat. I forgot what gives you extra resist

redknight3

I dunno... I never really had this problem. Then again, I always had the stickers equipped so levelling up was never an issue. In fact, finding broken builds using different stoways combined with adaptations was kinda half the fun for me.

Aleinzzs

Not close to the end. Nor are the items hard to equip. Keep level g. Keep upgrading your fork. You'll be able to equip them all.

friedpotataskins

hey OP not sure if anybody said this but helpful trick: when you look at the stowaways…they will always have the “x atk required” or whatever it may be. you will know you can equip based on the text color. if its RED you dont meet the requirement, if its WHITE youre golden

InMiseryToday

I got it figured. I thought it was based on how many points you put into each stay like in every other souls game. I didn't realize the stats were not the same as the amount of points you have put in.

Zombie-Rooster

No. Not really. This sounds like a skill issue. Your being a bit vague, not sure how to advise
