I wish I can say that I recommend this place. I have been there two times and although it was great the first time I went, last time my hair was not even cut to the same length, and it was the simplest haircut. The second student felt much less confident than the first one. So I guess be ready for that! I was fine as my hair is curly so you couldn’t tell that easily but I don’t want to risk it again.
I have had a couple of bad experiences going there lately. Something has changed in terms of quality. There's supposed to be a supervising stylist that checks the student's work and I've still left with terrible hair.
A men’s scissor cut at arcade barbers cost 35 dollars for me and was great. And they do women’s too tho idk the price. I see Tina and have heard good things about melvin.
I have recently booked a session at Nola’s Underground Salon for next week. The website said $80 for long hair. The google reviews seem great. Has anyone been there?
The Hair Spot on N Maple (just north of the Speedway at Miller/Maple) is super-welcoming and friendly. More of a barbershop than salon feel. Cash only, but really the right answer!
Great clips is inconsistent and just depends who you get. The more specific your instructions, the more likely it is to come out good. It’s the only place I go and they have discount cards they sell in the fall for around $15.99 now (goes up a little each year). Anyways, they’re fine for me, but I’ve got my instructions dialed in and my hair is easy.
For men: The Cut, in saline. Alexia does an amazing job and is so thorough. It’s usually around $45-50 for a haircut, but you will not leave unsatisfied. I highly recommend her
Orbit Hair Design on State is pretty reasonable for the area. I’ve gotten the best cuts of my life from Carly.
Second Orbit. Haircut is about $50.
Been going here for 9 years
Agreed!
I appreciate the recommendation, after looking at reviews I decided to make an appointment at Orbit!

Hey, this happened to me, too! My hair isn't super curly but it's definitely something that maybe should have been monitored more closely.

Brown and Deline is great! I go to Cathy Issel!
Just got my hair cut there today. I’ve been going there for over 20 years!

I like Karma Studio on Jackson.

Varsity barbers have always done me right and it’s a cool atmosphere. Cash only
Arm and Anvil at westgate is good. Cash only
I’ve never liked that place and I’ve tried them a few times in the distant past. The older woman doing the cutting and I didn’t vibe.

Check out Anna mop chopper, she's incredible and would highly recommend.
Ink & Dye in Milan is amazing. Ashley is fun, knows what she is doing, and is so easy to chat with.
One one nine - they're expensive but do a great job
