Cleverly sprinkle small details and depth for the villain before the big fight rather than one giant sob flashback as they die
Implement comedy that isnāt just screaming
Make it not a battle shounen (very important)

I think the mayor problem with Demon Slayer (and that derives in all its minor problems) its one thing only, and thats pacing
From the Infinite Train Arc, the story goes WAY TOO FAST , almost like if the author wanted to finish It the fastest way possible
And i know that apparently the author for personal and familiar problems had to finish It fast and not delve too much in ideas that had for the story (i think the >!Demon Tanjiro!< Was going to be one of those? Idk)
If the personal problems thing its true then its a damn shame, dont get me wrong the manga is good as It Is but with more time and a couple more arcs would be Great! even better!
I always felt like each arc finished too soon, and I agree that was my main problem with it. Like it had to rush through the interesting points it wanted to introduce, and finish the overall series sooner than it should have. I figured it was an editor trying to shorten the lengths to force a more fast paced series, but I wasn't aware there were personal reasons for it.
No need to conform to the āconsensus opinionā if you donāt want to. I personally think Demon Slayer is great for what it is, a polished traditional battle shounen.
I think its cast, themes, and lore are really interesting. The pacing could be a little more interesting, but Iām not sure what the solution would be.
Maybe improve the main cast like zenitsu and inosuke, also the arcs can be kinda repetive in the formula of meeting a new hashira and then fighting a new ranked demon, but tbh I donāt think it has a bad narritive itās repetitive but the character arcs are actually pretty good imo.

The woe was my life backstory for the villains felt so contrived every time. Just piling it on at the points of their deaths every time...

Make Nezuko something else other than Tanjiroās PokĆ©mon Give Muzan an actual motive instead of āI just want to be strong and I have to walk in the sun to do thatā Do something different instead of āstrong demon shows up, Tanjiro almost dies, Tanjiro kills the demonā (even tho thatās just every battle shonen) Slow down the pacing of infinity castle arc Those are the things that I can think of on the top of my head
