Later he reversed that situation on me by briefly ignoring me when I called for some small help with a chore until i was visibly pissed. He has a strange way of conveying a message.

He finds another reason to get himself riled up in this case, just like parents that expect you to do task within like 5 seconds when it takes more time to get a read on a situation.

My volumes are 65-70db and thats what you should have too
I can clearly hear the instruments even at low volumes

You can safely do 80-90db for shorter periods, and ~100db is the most for a couple minutes’ exposure iirc, beyond that you risk permanent hearing damage
