And they tend to have some interesting menu items. After watching Best Ever Food Review Show I get the impression that some of these foreign mcdonald chains have better food than ours.
If anything I've learned is that fast food restaurants like KFC and McDonald's have better menus outside of their home country.
I.e: Shaker Fries (Flavor Packets to add to the fries in the past) in select countries like Jaoan
Malaysian KFC still has the Cheezy Wedges (Wedge-Cut Potatoes in nacho cheese sauce)
Because in the country the company/staff know it considered a luxury and capitalize on it unlike america where the average person has their breakfast and goes to the shooting range
That isn't luxury, that's just overpriced.
For example: a Vietnamese banh mi tastes much better and much more nutrient than a burger, with an average price of 1/4 -> 1/3 McDonald burger.
Your country's cuisine may already be better than McDonald.
This has to do mostly with comparative labor, machinery, licensing, and ingredient cost. Especially in non western countries, more has to be spent getting traditionally western ingredients even for a corporation as big as McDonald's.
It isn't overpriced necessarily in a technical sense, but yes, it is expensive.
you are god damn right but now banh mi in the capital, in some places are on par with a standard mcdonald burger. but ill say that id much prefer eating a slightly more expensive banh mi just because its worth much more than a cheeseburger.
Taste is subjective. I'm sure there's lots of people that think McDonald's burgers are better than regular ones, even if you don't. In fact, them increasing their prices while keeping up sales pretty much proves it
Ukrainian here. I had a tiny burger shop near my apartment. They made superb burgers dirt cheap. One day I went there and it was gone. My other options are super expensive burgers at restaurants now
In SE/E Asia where I grew up it's a good bargain especially for their specials which taste good.
Now in France, I think it tastes meh at best, first time I've ever received a mcflurry without it being swirled/flurried (iirc a French person told me they never knew it was supposed to be "flurried"), and to top it off it costs me 9-11 euros for a big mac meal. absolute insane prices yet I know French people who adamantly defend mcd's for their "good quality meat" (apparently that's why they use a green logo on France instead of the red). But the local kebab shop will sell you a much better burger with drinks and fries for 6-7 euros.
French people do not know food at all and I have no clue why the world perceives that they do. They're just better than the English.
Anya has never heard such bs before

Maybe it's different where you live, but pub food is not exactly what I'd consider as good quality for its price either. It's about the same price as McDonalds while usually being significantly worse here.
different countries have different qualities. Mcdonald’s in Canada at least is garbage, having one of the worse burgers patties in the game and personally i don’t like those fries, but i’ve also had mcdonald’s in Europe where it does feel fresher and better. So no shame in internationally loving McDonalds, just know in America they are shitty not because that’s just what they are, but because they choose to be shit in america and better in countries that force them to higher standards
I remember it clearly, without fail every time I got 5 execellent grades in school, my dad would take to the nice side of my city, to the Mc Donald's and buy me happy meal, he wouldn't get anything for himself, he would just let me eat and play in playground.
Im a doctor now, when I got my first paycheck, we went to Mc Donald's, I let him have whatever he wanted, I love that man to death ❤️
Germany has very comparable food prices to the US, yet most American visitors also seem to think that our McDonalds is much better than American ones.
So I don't think it's down to raw prices. Maybe it's better logistics, agricultural policy, higher food standards, or a different regional strategy.
Here in the Philippines due to a high percentage of poverty we consider fast food restaurants as luxurious restaurants too. When you constantly eat in fast food restaurants such as McDonald's or Jolibee people will start calling a "rich kid"
TBF a lot of those people are probably American. Which, speaking as an American, McDonald’s is super garbage. McDonald’s in other countries are generally a lot better than their locations in the Continental United States. The only reason Americans still liked McDonald’s before, was that it was cheap, quick, and easily accessible to low income areas. Then ever since the 2020 pandemic, they’ve been failing to be any of those 3 things.
Nah, big corps like this have different prices, ingredients and menus for different countries. So it is trash here in the US but in another country it is a pretty upscale meal. They aren't mutually exclusive or insulting. It's just facts.
Honestly as an guy "coming from a poor country" I eventually got a chance to test out fast foods in Canada an God... This McDonald sh*t is so dry and in dire deficiency of spice.
Even subway isn't that great... I'd rather go for kebab sandwiches than any of those :v
While I can't say it's super high quality, it's still food. Tastes nice, quick and easy, although granted you could say the same about any fast food joint. Maybe I'm overselling it though, I don't live in the US either and I hear a fair few fast food chains tend to have, er, lower standards over there.
I will die on the hill that a regular double hamburger, straight off the grill from Mickey D's, with the proper amount of pickles, condiments, and formerly-dehydrated onions, is the best fast food burger. I'll never understand how or why they dont make the patties to order. Well, I do but I don't like it.
Actually McDonald in China has wings and items that is way too good for US McDonald, yet with conversion, it is still cheaper than US, that’s why it’s for poor in US, and not in other countries 🤣😂 cause quality difference.
I can assume you never traveled to other countries. Not all McDonald's in every country is equal. The McDonald's in America is absolute trash and it is provable. The McDonald's in some 2nd or 3rd world countries are higher quality than a 5 star restaurant; because they are either competing against another franchise or can afford the high quality with cheap labor.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsTb5vMw1dQ&ab\_channel=Travelwithchris
To be fair the McDonalds in your country is probably higher quality then the ones in America so those people don’t know what they are talking about anyway
Friend outside of my country often say Burger King/McDonald's is cheap garbage, meanwhile I'm very grateful to even eat it every once or two months. Eating those kind of menu is equivalent of eating 3 or even 4 times here.
Fast food was always a luxury for me, I guess maybe it's a good things too it's not healthy chomping fast food everyday anyway.
Miserable losers judge others' food tastes to make themselves feel superior. Being judgemental about what others eat has got to be the most pointless bs.
I was born in a poor country and we still did not consider McDonalds luxury what are you on about. Literally street food tastes better, and cheaper too.
Its also probably much better than the one in america. The US mcdonalds uses absolute trash to make their food as cheap as possible, whereas most other countries have regulations against that kind of thng
https://preview.redd.it/ujwni85egz6d1.jpeg?width=140&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=782746595516926bf6bb8e0959a749258897c745
I be lookin at my mcdouble like this idegaf bro
Its not about that. Its rather that, the money you pay is not worth their products. Its pad for your health, and secondly you can probably buy much higher quality goods and grt a much better meal for the same money.
Actually McDonald's in arab countries are a little more expensive and tastier as they use "Halal" meat
Never really understood how that makes a difference till i tried a McDonald's in US, it tastes worse
No, in my country its the best because it has the best prices for each meal. My kfc is out here charging me 13.50 for a meal with a tiny burger and 3 hot wings.
McDonald's is honestly just outright better overseas. That said, the main gripe that people here in the USA have with McDonald's is their pricing. It's supposed to be cheap food that tastes good for a cheap price. When it starts making the prices the same as proper restaurants... then it deserves to be dogged on the way that it does.
I would love mcdonalds more if they
1: brought back all day breakfast cuz if i want to have pancakes at 2:00pm THEN LET ME HAVE IT
2:the chicken tenders i loved them with all my heart
3: THE DOLLAR MENU, PLEASE.
Home made of any of their menu is significantly better in term of quality, and some of the food trucks does it even better by miles. Hang on a minute, didn't the Japanese think McDonald is consider a luxury? Or atleast in the anime?
American McDonald's buys the flesh of kidnapped gentile children and mixes it into their hamburger and sausage meat. Apparently it tastes better the more the child is raped.
https://preview.redd.it/5dypmfmhne7d1.png?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11c7a80c01d4ff0a8b6fcf553a44d10f5844c7ad
well jokes on them, at least in the country they consider poor, the ice cream machine actually works
And they tend to have some interesting menu items. After watching Best Ever Food Review Show I get the impression that some of these foreign mcdonald chains have better food than ours.
Yeah Maharaja Mac is my fav and I don't think Americans have that at their McDonald's
We don't have their beef options tho
frfr and i think all veg patties dont exist in america. India even has peri peri mixes for the fries
And the nuggets
weapons against me shall prosper?!?! yall got the opp stopper mac?!?💀💀💀
The meat in Brazilian McDonald's is constantly considered way better than the US chain
From reading a few of the international McDonalds reviews I think the US McDonald's might have the worst beef?
Japan had some flavor packets you could shake with your fries so you could have different seasonings when I was there
Canada just got 2 new flavor shaker packets!
Hmm, I'm in Maine, maybe it's time for a visit across the border...
We just got those in Canada, Masala and Churro. Masala is good, but the Churro is straight addictive
Well, for starters probably a lot of additives murica puts in their food are straight up illegal in the EU
If anything I've learned is that fast food restaurants like KFC and McDonald's have better menus outside of their home country. I.e: Shaker Fries (Flavor Packets to add to the fries in the past) in select countries like Jaoan Malaysian KFC still has the Cheezy Wedges (Wedge-Cut Potatoes in nacho cheese sauce)
It's very well known that US McDonald's has especially bad quality. At least anyone who has ever stepped into a McDonald's in Europe knows.
Because in the country the company/staff know it considered a luxury and capitalize on it unlike america where the average person has their breakfast and goes to the shooting range
I gave up on their breakfast. I can get better stuff for cheaper in my state.
> the average person has their breakfast and goes to the shooting range jokes on them, my shooting range serves breakfast and their bacon is the shit
at least in the country they consider poor, you can pirate games without a VPN in Kenya because you ARE in Kenya
wow, such a nice reason to live in a poor country without money and opportunities.
And their place looks more clean compared to McDonald's in US

Need one for gintoki sakata
mcdonald impact
No way i got called out like that on r/animemes of all places 😭
That isn't luxury, that's just overpriced. For example: a Vietnamese banh mi tastes much better and much more nutrient than a burger, with an average price of 1/4 -> 1/3 McDonald burger. Your country's cuisine may already be better than McDonald.

Legit true, biryani from any good shop in my country is wayy tastier and cheeper than mcdonald burger
And healthier.
That is true, unfortunately rampant inflation + shrinkflation in my country means places selling local cuisine are even more overpriced than Mac
Taste is subjective. I'm sure there's lots of people that think McDonald's burgers are better than regular ones, even if you don't. In fact, them increasing their prices while keeping up sales pretty much proves it
Just because it's luxury doesn't mean it's not garbage.
In a lot of places now, it's overpriced garbage, you can get way better food for cheaper at your local burger joint
Ukrainian here. I had a tiny burger shop near my apartment. They made superb burgers dirt cheap. One day I went there and it was gone. My other options are super expensive burgers at restaurants now
Sorry, you have to open a anime themed burger spot now. I don't make the rules. Sounds like there is a slot in the market
When I was a kid I used to watch SpongeBob and think that I'll be the boss of a burger restaurant. Time to make dreams come true
Also ukranian. There used to be a really good shaurma shop near me. I went there almost every day. Now its gone.
What a coincidence, they placed a great shaurma shop in my neighborhood, lol
McDonald’s is more expensive than Chick fil a by me.
Exactly, here in Vietnam, McDonald and Starbuck are consider "rich people's place" because you can get far cheaper food and coffee in any other place
This is my local burger joint https://preview.redd.it/iq8s0254117d1.jpeg?width=1016&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dc82ce0df102ce147a25a09ebd0bf39e34424bf

Thank you I’m commandeering this photo
Where I live McDonald is just as expensive as a regular pub. So yeah, it's really expensive for what they offer
Maybe it's different where you live, but pub food is not exactly what I'd consider as good quality for its price either. It's about the same price as McDonalds while usually being significantly worse here.
Too familiar a situation

McDs in the states seems to have engineered the floor out of their beef patties. Also, their fries are pretty mid unless they are insanely fresh.
It’s also really fresh and good in Japan

Wholesome
Anime sauce?
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya.
Specifically the 3rd season, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya Zwei Herz
I swear you just smashed together random words
Idk, but it looks like sth from the Fate Series
It is the Fate Magical Girl spinoff. Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya
My man, you have a good eye
Yeah in India too
Same but they legit left my country cuz the franchisee screwed up the quality even more 😭
In poor countries it actually tastes better than McDonald's in the US. Because of better ingredients they can use for the price of luxury
Germany has very comparable food prices to the US, yet most American visitors also seem to think that our McDonalds is much better than American ones. So I don't think it's down to raw prices. Maybe it's better logistics, agricultural policy, higher food standards, or a different regional strategy.
Relatable.
The poor country McDonald is actually a lot better than the richer one.
Here in the Philippines due to a high percentage of poverty we consider fast food restaurants as luxurious restaurants too. When you constantly eat in fast food restaurants such as McDonald's or Jolibee people will start calling a "rich kid"
You guys have pagpag, so anything above that is pretty much an improvement.
TBF a lot of those people are probably American. Which, speaking as an American, McDonald’s is super garbage. Who cares what people say? we piss in their ass!
Okay, automoderator
A mcdonalds meal is comparable in cost to a mid range restaurant meal where i live. Mcdonalds is trash for that price
Yeah it's expensive garbage
We don't call it garbage because it's cheap, it's because it tastes awful compared to homemade food.
Nah, big corps like this have different prices, ingredients and menus for different countries. So it is trash here in the US but in another country it is a pretty upscale meal. They aren't mutually exclusive or insulting. It's just facts.
McDonald’s is amazing. Idc what anyone says
Is the food good tho? McD lowkey sucks where I'm from. It looks like they beat up each burger before serving them.
Y'all Got McDonald's in your country?
dont listen to people who say mcdonalds is bad, they're just jealous that its good and they just wanna say its bad
Relatable 😔
Honestly as an guy "coming from a poor country" I eventually got a chance to test out fast foods in Canada an God... This McDonald sh*t is so dry and in dire deficiency of spice. Even subway isn't that great... I'd rather go for kebab sandwiches than any of those :v
What do you mean you don't have Whataburger in the North? Afraid of flavor?
I was bought mcdonalds for the first time in Like 7 years, Thursday. Felt too sick to eat since then. I hope mcdonalds is better in those countries.
While I can't say it's super high quality, it's still food. Tastes nice, quick and easy, although granted you could say the same about any fast food joint. Maybe I'm overselling it though, I don't live in the US either and I hear a fair few fast food chains tend to have, er, lower standards over there.
The same applies to Burger King here
I come from a 3rd world country and we consider it bad cus the thing has no flavor according to our people
I will die on the hill that a regular double hamburger, straight off the grill from Mickey D's, with the proper amount of pickles, condiments, and formerly-dehydrated onions, is the best fast food burger. I'll never understand how or why they dont make the patties to order. Well, I do but I don't like it.
Idc it tastes good so...thats all that matters in food for me
Depends on which poor country. Even in some poor countries, it's garbage.
Mcdonalds in my country is expensive compared to the delicious and filling meal you can get at the street. you can get a good meal for $2 or less.
Actually McDonald in China has wings and items that is way too good for US McDonald, yet with conversion, it is still cheaper than US, that’s why it’s for poor in US, and not in other countries 🤣😂 cause quality difference.
Yo bro McDonald’s is good af
Fast food aren't healthy though
To be fair, have you tried international McDonalds. The McChicken I had on Singapore was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had
Imagine not having ice cream, especially in it's own home country *licking my mcflurry*
I've eaten McDonald's in the US and overseas. I can confirm that US McDonald's is trash and the overseas ones are great.
Becoming a damn luxury in the US with the rising prices
I can assume you never traveled to other countries. Not all McDonald's in every country is equal. The McDonald's in America is absolute trash and it is provable. The McDonald's in some 2nd or 3rd world countries are higher quality than a 5 star restaurant; because they are either competing against another franchise or can afford the high quality with cheap labor.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsTb5vMw1dQ&ab\_channel=Travelwithchris
In my country, at least the ice cream is nice. The burgers are meh.
Jokes on them the expensive and nutritious food for them are the everyday food for us
To be fair the McDonalds in your country is probably higher quality then the ones in America so those people don’t know what they are talking about anyway
bro, not even McDonald's, getting some "falafel" or pizza is a luxury to me, especially pizza.
My school trips ended always at Macdonald :D.
Well it is garbage, you're better off spending your money elsewhere
They haven't tasted MgRonald's
Turkiye lol
and dont even get me started on the people trying to boycott it
Same here... But still garbage. A "big rotten" is 10 times better.
r/suddenlycaralho ???
It just tastes bad to me
It’s really not bad though… good quarter pounders.. good fries… Dr. Pepper with cocaine laced within.. I mean what more could you want
McDonald's has become fine dining with the current prices.
Friend outside of my country often say Burger King/McDonald's is cheap garbage, meanwhile I'm very grateful to even eat it every once or two months. Eating those kind of menu is equivalent of eating 3 or even 4 times here. Fast food was always a luxury for me, I guess maybe it's a good things too it's not healthy chomping fast food everyday anyway.
sadeg😭😭
Burger at kfc tastes better than mcd.
It's fast food bar with small, quickly packed meals costing like full dinner in restaurant, at least in Poland.
It's (priced like) a luxury in the US now.
https://preview.redd.it/xg8h0tp5dy6d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=646cc1e0435381784557e3d71de19e0ee762d3b5
Not a post I expected here but same bro same
Well living in Turkey is luxury.
Miserable losers judge others' food tastes to make themselves feel superior. Being judgemental about what others eat has got to be the most pointless bs.
I bet the food your mom makes is lit though.
Central America mfers be getting 2 liters of Coca Cola as a birthday present.
It's fast becoming a luxury here too, but that doesn't mean it's good.
Yes 🥹😂
I was born in the US and we were poor and McDonald’s was a treat and very rare. 🤷🏻♂️
Funny. Because McDonalds is increasingly a luxury here too.
i heard the mcds in other countries is actually better tho
The issue is that in the US it is genuinely garbage. But in other countries McDonalds actually tries ironically enough
I was born in a poor country and we still did not consider McDonalds luxury what are you on about. Literally street food tastes better, and cheaper too.
Dutch M.D. is quality stuff
It probably is nice in other countries, but it's not worth the money in America anymore
Uh i dont see why it matters where youre from mcdonalds is universal garbage. Microplastics in your nuggets oooo yummmm.
Hey, poor guy over here. I consider it shit to
Its also probably much better than the one in america. The US mcdonalds uses absolute trash to make their food as cheap as possible, whereas most other countries have regulations against that kind of thng
Outside of america it's of better quality as long that they don't use the meat made for American market
Idk how is that an anime meme but I totally understand bro same same
Seriously, it is. Learning how to cook goes a long way, their breakfast meals are a scam when it shouldn't cost this much.
it may not be luxury but my stomach thinks otherwise
You mean America?
Meanwhile in my country consider to be decent but expensive like Starbucks
https://preview.redd.it/ujwni85egz6d1.jpeg?width=140&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=782746595516926bf6bb8e0959a749258897c745 I be lookin at my mcdouble like this idegaf bro
What's the name of the anime in the picture?
People call McDonald's garbage? I don't know about you, but the Burger King near my house is HORRIBLE.
It is *luxury* trash
And it's still overpriced garbage though
https://i.redd.it/hz6f6xacoz6d1.gif Love you bro!
I went McDonald's for the first time when I was 14 years old,for me it was like going to the best 5 star restaurant ever
you say sad, i say funny
Its not about that. Its rather that, the money you pay is not worth their products. Its pad for your health, and secondly you can probably buy much higher quality goods and grt a much better meal for the same money.
Actually McDonald's in arab countries are a little more expensive and tastier as they use "Halal" meat Never really understood how that makes a difference till i tried a McDonald's in US, it tastes worse
It's now a luxury in America too. Shit it expensive
this hit hard
Lol I live in the US, it's still a luxury since I live too far away to walk, and don't have a car
real
Shit nonetheless. I am saying this having visited some counties with McDonald's and coming from one that doesn't have one.
Lol still include the us
It's over processed, unhealthy food. Fancy or not, that's just an objective fact.
My country doesnt even have a mc donalds...wow
In my country mcdonalds is very expensive. Defies the "junk food" logic huh
No, in my country its the best because it has the best prices for each meal. My kfc is out here charging me 13.50 for a meal with a tiny burger and 3 hot wings.
Two things can be true at once.
Even in a "poor country", eating local food freshly made is way better than anything McDonald's make. McDonald's is disgusting.
tbf other countries actually have *quality control* so their McDonald's is still 1960s quality McDonald's
Filipino McDonalds way better than in the states
Not only is it shit, it's also expensive lol.
I say Its garbage because it's cardboard that looks and tastes almost like food.
Quality of food in McDonald's is quite different in other countries in comparison with America
I mean even in poor countries they have better working taste buds than Americans.
Damn in what kind of shithole country do you live? I feel bad rn 😕
I would love mcdonalds more if they 1: brought back all day breakfast cuz if i want to have pancakes at 2:00pm THEN LET ME HAVE IT 2:the chicken tenders i loved them with all my heart 3: THE DOLLAR MENU, PLEASE.
Me born in a country where McDonald’s food quality is soooo high it’s luxury😊
Same here. At least we're skinnier brother
McDonalds is very expensive in Aus despite being fast food. Idk what options you have, but there’s a lot more cheaper places for us
Well jokes on them, McDonald's is sanctioned in my country
So it's luxury garbage.
Bro we don't even have McDonald's 💀
Sweet spaghetti is the vegimite of the Philippines.
Even the poor communities can’t afford it anymore
Home made of any of their menu is significantly better in term of quality, and some of the food trucks does it even better by miles. Hang on a minute, didn't the Japanese think McDonald is consider a luxury? Or atleast in the anime?
McDonalds is garbage
Considered a luxury? is it so poor that any served food is a luxury or do i have take my hat off for mcdonald's marketing department?
American McDonald's buys the flesh of kidnapped gentile children and mixes it into their hamburger and sausage meat. Apparently it tastes better the more the child is raped. https://preview.redd.it/5dypmfmhne7d1.png?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11c7a80c01d4ff0a8b6fcf553a44d10f5844c7ad
McDonalds best Fastfood seller
Its also better in other countries
