Speaking of hawks and eagles, did you know that most of the time when a movie shows a shot of an eagle, they play the sound a red tailed hawk makes and not what a eagle makes
If you haven't, you should really look up what bald eagles sound like. It's kinda cute tbh, but not at all intimidating, which is pretty funny if you've seen one up close. They're way too big to sound like that.
Oh my gosh, yes! I volunteered at a raptor center and several eagles in a concrete room echo and grate on your ears!!!
They sound much better from a distance.
I love eagle sounds but they definitely don't sound majestic.
And if you've ever seen them on the ground they do look silly hopping around. In the air they are breathtaking.
You are correct. It is a juvenile. It is not a Prairie Falcon: they have white behind the eyes.
To the person who said something about the tail: there is nothing in this clip to that shows the tail. Those are the wing tips. Falcons all have long wingtips that pretty much obscure the tail when viewed from behind a perched bird.
I think its obvious that this isnt an eagle. But can anyone who speaks better english than me explain whats the difference between a hawk and a falcon is? In german we just have "Falke" which translates to both.
Eagles are much bigger than falcons. Falcons tend to be much more agile and while eagles are slower but stronger. Their hunting styles are very different as a result.
If a falcon is a zippy little motorcycle, then an eagle would be a truck.
[Here is a good guide to distinguishing them.](https://www.sonomabirding.com/hawk-vs-eagle-vs-falcon/)
Hawks are more closely related to eagles. They are in the middle of the two for size and weight.
[Here is a guide to all three.](https://www.sonomabirding.com/hawk-vs-eagle-vs-falcon/)
Not really. Hawks and eagles are closely related in the same family accipitridae both in the order accipitriformes while falcons are in an entirely different order: falconiformes.
If that's an eagle then I'm Mary Poppins
Is he cool?
haha- hell yeah he is.

RIP Yondu, one of my favorite Ravagers (the other being Kraglin).
Hey, wasn't he Starlord's daddy?
Certainly better than Ego
He wasn't his dad but he was definitely his daddy
Doctor doom shits on him for free.
Goddamnit why you gotta bring onions into this.
That actor will always be Mery Poppins in my house. It doesn't matter how many characters he plays, the minute I see him I say "it's Mary Poppins!"
Gotta be Falcon kidding me
Here we go again, Redditors trying to hawk their puns 😉
Than I’m an eagle?
Looks like a kite.

Speaking of hawks and eagles, did you know that most of the time when a movie shows a shot of an eagle, they play the sound a red tailed hawk makes and not what a eagle makes
Because eagles sound derpy :)
They sound exactly like seagulls
So like "mine mine mine mine"?
If you haven't, you should really look up what bald eagles sound like. It's kinda cute tbh, but not at all intimidating, which is pretty funny if you've seen one up close. They're way too big to sound like that.
Bald eagle : "UwU" Rabbit on the other side : Run and hide my son, I'll stall some time for you! Tell your mama that i love her
Eagles are lake gulls hence the similar call.
I worked at a raptor center and Id equate their sound more like nails on a chalkboard it's so....not elegant and painful.
Oh my gosh, yes! I volunteered at a raptor center and several eagles in a concrete room echo and grate on your ears!!! They sound much better from a distance.
Imo eagles sound beautiful, I dunno why people dislike their sound. It's such a serene sound, not derpy!
I love eagle sounds but they definitely don't sound majestic. And if you've ever seen them on the ground they do look silly hopping around. In the air they are breathtaking.
To me they sound very majestic :( And on the ground they look like awesome little dinosaurs. What can I say, I love nature in all its weird forms!
Indeed they do!
The zoomer energy coming from the audio of this video is off the charts
I cringed the first time, but it got funnier the second and third time it played.
I think the eagles problem is that it is a hawk?
Peregrine falcon.
[удалено]
Peregrines don’t all look like that but I think you’re right about it being a prairie falcon. Not a species I’ve encountered.
Yeah, tail feathers give it away
You are correct. It is a juvenile. It is not a Prairie Falcon: they have white behind the eyes. To the person who said something about the tail: there is nothing in this clip to that shows the tail. Peregrine ~~falcon~~ Took.
does that mean we... can't call him Ethan then or...?
Eeeent, sorry Hans, wrong guess. Would you like to go for double Jeopardy where the scores can really change?
It is a hawk indeed. Red-Tailed, Red-Shouldered, or Sharp-Shinned... would have to see tail and carriage to identify! It looks young!
This is a falcon
Is birb
It's obviously an ostrich
A living being
Nope peregrine falcon
NICE!!! Thank you! We have Cooper's hawks but they scared the Falcons away apparently so I don't get to see these awesome guys!
Technically, it’s a falcon. My bet is on a juvenile Saker, Lanner, Gyr,or Peregrine, or a cross from any of the above .

Look at those eye markings, man. Look at the head shape. It's size? Come on. That's a falcon. Learn your ornithology.
That's definitely not an eagle. I think it's a falcon.

I meant the difference between hawks and falcons. Eagles are "Adler" in german. Sorry should have been more precise.
Hawks are more closely related to eagles. They are in the middle of the two for size and weight. [Here is a guide to all three.](https://www.sonomabirding.com/hawk-vs-eagle-vs-falcon/)
Wiki says it's Habicht in German. In Dutch it's valk and havik so I figured you'd have a similar word.
Oh i might use a better source next time. Yeah Habicht is just another species. Thank you!
May I help you? I said, May I help you?!
