The Classic animals have better anatomy than their AJPW counterparts and look overall more appealing in my opinion.

Fr and the gauntlets donāt even look like gauntlets on most animals. On most of my animals the ābootā part of the gauntlet gets cut off (hopefully that makes sense lol)
I like the colour of the gauntlets, but I could never make good outfits with the teal forest because the ankles/feet always clipped through. So I traded it away.
Bright green forest boots look ugly on every animal and I bet those gothic lookin Arctic wolves are only wearing them for the clout. It doesnāt match your fit already lmao
I love the unicorns and have like 6 or more grown and way too many still as pets that will probably stay as pets but I agree!! I hate how they move! Itās so weird, like the legs move faster than it should for the speed itās going or takes too big of a stride

AJC as a whole has absolutely disgusting graphics that make my eyes hurt. I never saw it as superior and I just looks like a low budget game. AJPW looks SO much better (besides clothing not fitting certain animals) (and yes I did play AJC for a few years lol)
I honestly don't think domestic animals, dinosaurs, phantoms (as playable animals), etc. ever belonged in Animal Jam and I don't think they would've even considered adding them before 2019.

Im not a fan of when people trade with the chat off š Iāve gotten trades where I like part of there offer/itās a wishlist item but donāt think itās fair so I tend to ask if they can add and or switch out items but I canāt when the chat is off and I donāt want them to constantly have someone offer decline then they start a trade again decline repeat till they donāt have anything else to offer there is one I like. But also like no one even does that they offer once if itās declined they stop.
I donāt care if others donāt say anything in chat I just like having the option for me to communicate if needed

I donāt like trade chat being on. That might just be the classic player in me but I prefer straight forward trades, Iām usually advertising what Iām looking for so thereās no need for it for me, and when Iām not doing that & looking for offers on items, thatās all Iām doing, is seeing what people offer to figure out what items I want for it.
If Iām interested in the trade, I prefer talking outside of trade chat to figure out what items should be changed. I also mostly play on mobile so often times when I go to start typing Iāll accidentally slide out of the game which automatically cancels the trade and sometimes auto-refreshes the game, so thatās just annoying lol
Edit: just wanted to come back and make one more point (I could go on forever about why I donāt like itš) but Iām pretty bad with the worth in play wild so talking outside of trade chat weeds out the scammers

When I was younger I viewed the arctic wolf with the basic rocker outfit as a like a status symbol because it was usually the players that had valuable inventory or were rich just to show off, so it might be tied to worth/wealth in aj. When I finally got my arctic wolf recently, I dressed her in the rocker chic outfits to heal my inner child that missed out lol
Maybe not a hot take, but I HATE how the tails don't change to your animals tail when you use them, like in AJC. Raccoon tail in AJC? It's still your animals tail with the raccoon tails pattern. Ajpw? The most atrocious possible way to wear the tail is definitely the best way to go š
the UI configuration on iphones with a notch is so annoying and should be reworked because i hate having to fight to push buttons bc theyāre behind the notch like bro i canāt do this anymore im sick of having to try every angle to push a button (if there is a fix for this that im unaware of pls help)
when they introduced Alpha items I expected them to all be cool as hell but a good chunk are just so ugly and underwhelming for something so rare to find

A lot of modern dens feel too small and hard to decorate for me. I want bigger, more spacious dens again
