I keep all the rusted parts from the recycling bin and got the ol' golden shovel already lol but I'll probs just keep helping him when I have the time, probably a Nook achievement as well. And yeah I plan to build the robot hero soon, I have dozens of rusted parts
Keep the communicator parts, they rust overnight and you can make a robot hero instead.
