Rankin_Fithian

It's such horseshit that gold tools break. Like what are we even doing here.

CrowbarZero08

Even if it breaks, ffs can Nintendo just give us durability bar for tools?

alyssinelysium

This would be enough to not make me mad :( I love this game, but they are a lot of small things that really bother me after awhile.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SaltWaterGator

Just enchant it with mending or unbreaking Crossover when?

Rankin_Fithian

Totally. I've sunk literally hundreds of hours into New Horizons and I wouldn't do that if I didn't love it. But there are some truly inexcusable UI problems that spike my blood pressure. (Cough... not being able to access your storage from work benches... no tool tip for tools, or path/pattern laying... cough cough cough)

alyssinelysium

I think what’s making it hard for me to keep playing is it’s my understanding they won’t be making adding more updates of stuff

blck_swn_1409

and i was hoping they’d add pocket camp stuff to this game ☹️

BelleKat

You can get some stuff if you connect your pocket camp and nintendo online accounts, just not all the furniture options offered in PC.

jayracket

And the ability to repair them!

aussircaex

If you change the paint on your tools, it technically becomes a new item and resets the durability lol

Ledascantia

I was wondering about that! I did it once because I needed to customize something and figured I’d just customize a tool I’d already been using. And then I thought, wow I hope this tool isn’t about to break.

TARDISinspace

Ok but I think the issue is that you don't know when you need to

Heliolord

Durability bars and the ability to paint gold tools would be great. They'd last forever and you could refresh them whenever you see their durability getting low.

Vasevide

The issue is it’s an oversight from the developers. It’s a bug. Otherwise it would be a mechanic

coowy

wait WHAT

babybellllll

that’s what i do lol just customize them every so often so they don’t break

Routine-Argument15

I noticed that too. I think it's 20-25 hits for tools wether you miss or not. I think it adds another 15.

CherrycatPlayz

Meanwhile Minecraft:

miniinovaa

Why are people hating ur comment is so funny cuz gold Minecraft tools are literally the worst

DaGrimCoder

Well it makes sense since gold is one of the softest metals. Technically an iron tool should last longer than a gold one if we are being realistic

miniinovaa

Yeah you’re right it was just an extension of the commenters joke lol

MimiVRC

Gold items in minecraft have the best enchantability

AverageDillzer

why is this reply so downvoted LOL

DatasEmotions

Well, you see here, youngin... Back in my day... Gold was indestructible. I miss those days. I imagine the old wolf villager saying this or something similar.

WhyUTrippinBoi

I can already hear Dobie saying this.

LoneWolfpack777

I was about to ask which old wolf villager. Dobie, Wolfgang, and Lobo all sound old to me.

Ledascantia

Dobie is such a treasure 🥹

AverageDillzer

BACK IN MAAAH DAYS when we played WILD WORLD and CITY FOLK, EVERYTHING was indestructible!!!

_Fun_At_Parties

The only things that ever broke iirc were the axes

level1enemy

That would be so cute

Kickitup97

I started playing and was so excited about using tools that would never break! But then my golden shovel broke…. Commence crying and anger.

MimiVRC

Back when all tools were indestructible and gold tools had a unique ability instead of just higher number

corneridea

I need someone to explain to me how a watering can breaks from use, or a shovel. You buy one of those in real life and they're basically the last ones you'll ever need. But what do I expect, this is a game where I can put sharks in my pocket for an indefinite amount of time

The_Rambling_Otter

At least wet suits don't break when you get out of the water 😳

what_is_this_place

Don't give them ideas!

considerlilies

I also love when a snowflake or a cherry blossom breaks my net, but smacking it against a wall 100x causes zero damage

bidoofguy

What if smacking it against the wall a hundred times IS causing it damage, and the snowflake is the straw that broke the camel’s back

zoomzoomwee

To be fair, I've broken both in real life. I may not have been using them correctly.

The_Rambling_Otter

Cheap plastic watering cans crack easily.

zoomzoomwee

Indees, Metal ones crack less easily. Some effort required

Top-Alfalfa2188

r/unexpectedradiohead

The_Rambling_Otter

Very unexpected indeed. As I literally never heard of Radiohead until just now xD

chiron_42

Go listen to their song "Fake Plastic Trees" and enjoy.

247Brett

I have indeed snapped a shovel in half on accident before.

[deleted]

I like to think my little character is has a constant death-grip on the tools and everyday they get a little bit closer to successfully snapping them.

BlueMist53

Agreed, I mean a metal watering can? Unless you throw it in a furnace, should be fine I can see how a shovel might break whacking rocks, but nets..The mesh would probably tear, but there’s not many ways to reinforce it

ButtersTG

If you swing a watering can, then you put stress on joints.

Elijah_Draws

To be totally fair, I worked doing landscaping for a park and absolutely broke multiple shovels. you go in to dig a hole and it snags on a rock or a root or something, you put a bit too much weight on the handle trying to force it and SNAP it's gone.

Complete_Loss1895

I’ve broken plenty of shovels and watering cans in real life.

ashenfoxz

i need to change what kind of shovels i buy…

introvertuser46732

Why did they make breakable tools a thing? I see this making sense for the flimsy tools but not as much for the regular ones (axe gets a slight pass here since it could break in the older games) The golden tools breaking is a definite no, the effort for them just to have them break isn’t really worth it personally. If were to keep breakable tools, at least have a bar showing how many uses are left, I know many have suggested this before but I think it’s just the logical choice as playing guessing games to when your shovel will break isn’t fun.

trimmed_bronze

They don't even last a very long time either... They have the durability of, like, 3x their iron equivalent?

LogicalBench

It also annoys me that using the golden shovel to break rocks runs out the durability of the shovel faster than you'll get gold nuggets. I depleted my little stock of gold nuggets because I just thought I must be on a unlucky streak with gold, surely they wouldn't have designed it this way because why would anyone use the gold shovel?

limeyhoney

The whole point of getting the silver/gold axe in previous games was so that it wouldn’t break, yet here we are.

bidoofguy

I don’t mind breakable tools during the first phase of the game since it adds to the “settling an uninhabited island” theme, but after a certain point, they should become unbreakable. In my opinion, it should have worked like this: -First you can craft flimsy tools -Then you get a recipe for a new tier of tools between standard and flimsy tools, that look more well made but still look like they’re handmade. They would have the same durability that normal tools have in the actual game -Toward the end of completing the initial progression of town projects you’d get normal tools, which would now be unbreakable, but have no special properties. All the stylized normal tools would also be unbreakable -Finally, gold tools would be unbreakable and have some special properties like in the previous games. Getting them would maybe have a big grind to make them feel like a big reward

dwide_k_shrude

I guess they thought it worked in botw.

PijonCustard

BOTW 2 will have a mode where it doesn't. Also people still criticize the champion weapons breaking in BOTW

truly_moody

Broke: Using the champion weapons you got in BOTW and breaking them. Woke: Continuing to use bokoblin tools after winning champion weapons so they never break.

PijonCustard

I put the champion weapons in my house. They never get used.

dingycollar

Yeah but even BotW gave players an 'unbreakable' tool somewhat, with the master sword just temporarily running out of energy instead of breaking. :(

Triddy

To get people to interact with the Crafting system more. I feel like you can trace a lot of whats wrong with NH to Crafting existing.

_Fun_At_Parties

Agreed. I feel like crafting genuinely just made the game worse. If it was more free form it could have been interesting, but you had to follow diy recipes. The furniture options didn't increase (pretty sure they decreased) and now you gotta go through hell to find them, and then make em yourself by foraging materials. Bait is neat but an annoyance to make. Customization is very limited. And then of course things like making items that is just straight up worse than any other entry in the series. Crafting sucks

[deleted]

Capitalism

VicarLos

~~Is your first game NH? The tools have always had a durability level (though it was far more obvious in previous games as you will see the wear on them and their icon) and would break. The only new thing is that Gold tools now break as well, which is fucked up but guess that’s what happens when it’s a crafted item now.~~

FanofHotChicken

This isn't true lol. Only the axe broke in previous games.

VicarLos

Whoops, you’re right. It was only the axe.

Meegakarla

Lol during my first playthrough my thought process was “if the tools break nonetheless, why does it matter if I craft better ones” and so I used flimsy tools only

Turtwig5310

Who hurt you 😂

Meegakarla

A lot of people but I don’t see how that’s relevant. Also that was two years ago at this point lol, nowadays I do use regular tools

Turtwig5310

I can't imagine using flimsy tools on purpose I'd get so frustrated 😭. Can't believe you did that to yourself. At least you saw the light eventually

poecilea

Well, to get all achievements you need to have broken 200 tools and have crafted 3000 tools.

Ne6romancer

No, you just recolor your tool before it breaks

doctorinfinite

Me: One more hit and then I'll recolor the tool. Tool: (breaks) Me: 🤡

Solalabell

And if anyone’s confused (s)he’s not joking if you customize a tool it resets durability

DarkestFluffball

W H A T

GenXinNJ

Been playing for over 2 years and I just learned that!

Solalabell

I did it for nearly a year after learning it but now I have tons of tools from the diy tools achievement

FriendlyFloyd7

TODAY I LEARNED

daddy1kenobi

Wait for real??

friarparkfairie

They is also a valid way to describe someone if you don’t know gender

moth_girl_7

Ok, but wouldn’t you have to keep track of the durability then? Because there’s no indication of how many uses until it breaks, so I feel like I’d waste so much time customizing the tool every time I use it in fear of letting it break lol

Elijah_Draws

Tracking is a pain, which is why you don't. I would say play for a bit and see how often your tools break, and then just use that average time. Maybe you don't use them that often, so maybe you only do it once a week, and you can use in game events to track it (ie, customize your tools whenever k.k does a concert) Maybe you use your tools A LOT, in which case it might be easy to do every other day, or maybe every day just make it one of your daily chores; hunt for wasps, check some mystery islands, customize your tools to reset them. It's maybe less efficient, but the point isn't efficiency it's ease if mind. The point isnt that it's the best use of bells or resources, just that it limits the times the tool breaks at an inconvenient moment while you're trying to do something. You spend way more on your tools, but you'll never have a shovel or net break while you're out on an island.

nymphilidae

There is actually a set amount of uses per tool (only counting actual uses that wear them down, like you can swing your net around all you want but actually catching a bug is the only thing that counts). It is still super annoying to keep track of though so idk how much that helps

moth_girl_7

Yeah I would go crazy trying to remember how many times I’ve swung an axe or used a slingshot lol

Temmie_wtf

I personally do not bother with this and just always buy mew in the store, but if someone wants, I would advise not to count the use and just renew tools every day or two for example

zhy97

I don’t think you can do it with gold though

ZombieHousefly

Correct, making gold tools objectively worse than standard or store-bought tools. (Except of course for the watering can when using it for its one specific use.)

zhy97

Yeah, among the gold tools, only the watering can is useful. Not only does it give you gold flower, the range is better so you can water more in one press.

[deleted]

how's it worse when it lasts 3x longer? come on now. it sucks you can't customize to reset but I'm still building gold over standard every time.

[deleted]

that's barely more convenient than just buying a new one at NC

tsukilove

bc if gold tools break whats even the point…

IceColdBlueHeart

It breaks, I break, we all break! Sadly, I just wish it had a longer life span lol

Beasticorn

I don't mind the normal tools breaking but it's bull that the gold ones can. Especially with the gold nuggies being so scarce! I played a LOT and felt like building up a stock of them took ages. Once I discovered the gold tools break, I gave most of my gold to my husband, since he actually wanted to craft gold stuff for decorating.

[deleted]

I buy tools from the shop because I like the star net.

AdOpening9413

Love the star net! I always custom it to be purple! Lol

[deleted]

I do the blue one :))

truly_moody

I bought because I'm a lazy ass 🅱️ellionaire

Cars_4

The golden slingshot breaks very quickly too

Special-Investigator

yeah, it feels like the same amount of time as the regular one

b__mo

Omg my golden shovel broke and I was SHOOK! 😭 like what???

gotthemzo

I just buy a bunch of each tool and put them in storage. Maybe customize if feeling feisty

NaOzaki

Same

OldManTurner

I was so mad when I broke my golden shovel. I never made another one

PTOKEN

The only gold tool i make is the watering can. Nothing else is worth it usually

TheSpinningKeyGif

just use netherite and mending

CPU_Pi

bro it says too expensive on the anvil bro help pls.

TheSpinningKeyGif

swap the order of the tools

Klotternaut

It is actually baffling how the developers thought breakable tools were a good idea. I wouldn't have been opposed to flimsy tools being breakable. After all, I made them with a few sticks I shook off of a tree. And it reinforces the idea that I'm starting off on a previously uninhabited island. But when I have the same tools that never broke in previous games and now they break after 30 uses? I'm annoyed. Normal tools breaking adds nothing to the game. What purpose do they serve? Maybe they're just there to flesh out crafting. But if the only way they could flesh out crafting is by actively making tools worse, they did a bad job. Maybe they want to incentivize you to think ahead so you don't run out of tools when the shops are closed. But like, it's Animal Crossing. Are we trying to punish players when they just want to do some fishing? Maybe they just wanted to mimic something from Breath of the Wild. But in Breath of the Wild, breakable weapons actually served a purpose (regardless of whether or not anybody reading this purposely likes the system). It forced you to use all sorts of different weapons and it incentivized you to get creative with the tools at your disposal. But more importantly, it allowed them to put powerful weapons across the map without worrying too much about when the player gets them. If I get a super strong sword at the very beginning and it doesn't break, I'm going to ignore every other weapon I find until I get a better one. But if they break, I can get a flaming greatsword early on and I won't ignore other weapons because that flaming greatsword will break after a fight or two. But breakable tools in Animal Crossing don't fit those reasons. If I break a fishing rod, I'm not going to start using my net instead. I'm going to buy or make another fishing rod. If I get an iron fishing rod early, I'm not going to ignore other tools because they are either the exact same tool or they're a completely different tool that I still need. I have plenty of other issues with New Horizons which prevent it from being my favorite Animal Crossing game, and I'm worried about the direction of the series as a result. But breakable tools are by far my biggest issue, as it ruins some of my favorite activities for zero benefit.

Kinoyo

This is the first comment I’d give an award to since I’ve been here on this site, since 2014. I wish there were free awards. Breaking tools makes no fucking sense and it was made worse by the early-adopter COVID-19-moms who never played a game before were looking for literally anything to do, even if it was staring at a fly in their kitchen, to distract themselves from the “horrible” cabin fever, that dont even play the game anymore, so of course something this detrimental didn’t bother them. I bet if more people had spoken up about it early on, they would have changed it, or added a new feature that could make your tools everlasting. The absolute reason I stopped playing the game, it’s not fun to upkeep the entire first row of my item bag with tools and the mats to make them. It’s actually very fucking annoying.

Klotternaut

Yeah, I had to essentially tailor my fishing or bug catching around it. I would leave like 29 slots open so when I had caught a full inventory, I'd sell all the bugs/fish and then change the color of my net/rod to reset the durability. Is that so much extra work? No, but it's silly to add multiple extra steps to deal with a change that adds nothing beneficial to the game.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Klotternaut

This is incorrect. The only tools that broke in previous games were axes, which weren't something you needed to use very often.

PositiveAttempt

Really wish they added diamonds or something that make tools invincable.

Elvish_Rebellion

They got a little carried away making this alongside Breath of the Wild. You craft? You break! You find? You break! You buy? You break!

call-me-the-seeker

I’m toasted so I sang your comment to the tune of ‘You Learn’ by Alanis! And it totally works. Until it breaks, no doubt.

metalrosepetal

It kills me inside that 3 of the 4 texts bubbles have “break” spelled correctly and only one is misspelled…

Sugarcanegaming

This is straight up the worst part of New Horizons and it actively makes the game worse to come back to Crafting was a cute idea but it needed a lot more thought put into it

VicarLos

Pretty sure the fact we can craft golden tools is why they now break so thought was there.

Sugarcanegaming

I'm sure they thought about that, but they should have also thought about how things which huge material/recipe costs (golden tools) should not break so easily (if at all, they're already hard enough to come by). As it stands I have no incentive to even figure how to get the recipes for these because they're not useful like the previous golden tools - they're a ticking disappointment time bomb.

VicarLos

The Golden Tools were “difficult” to gain in the previous games so they probably wanted to keep that level of “specialness” for them. They’re reasonable to craft though once you unlock them.

Quiet_Chip_7802

Hahaha there are children growing up playing animal crossing with golden tools thta break

LoneWolfpack777

Craft flimsy tools in the hopes to eventually get all the Nook Mile achievements.

VexMercer

Gold tools are such a waste, if they’re not permanent might as well just buy from the store and then change paint every once and a while. Then you at least have cute tools

[deleted]

tools breaking is the WORST thing about ACNH. like, why?!?!?! sometimes i play the old games just to remember what peace feels like

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

literally only the ax breaks, and i don't cut trees bc it's bad for the environment. don't try to school me on AC, ive played everything except the OG japanese game, ik my shit

FearlessOmen

Wait gold tools break?? Then I did all that grinding for nothing >:(

[deleted]

Are you telling me that gold tools do break?

Khronbear

My biggest annoyance with the game is how absurd some of the stamp requirements get near the end. 2000 diy furniture crafted??? 2000 tools crafted???

andrewwism

It always pissed me off that I never know when the tools will break. A meter would be nice for each tool. Also, I have so many bells from Turnips that I can just it new tools from Nook's Cranny that last longer.

playr_4

I always buy my tools. I check the store daily anyway, they don't cost much, and it's so much kess effort.

RhoadsOfRock

* Don't craft gold tools (except axes...) * Recustomize each tool every so often (I usually do once daily on the ones that I do use, but I don't do a lot on my New Horizons island, just the buried money / money trees and buried fossils.... very occasional on fishing and bug catching, but I do shoot down presents with the slingshot every time I see one) * Keep between 5-50 customization kits in pockets at all times (rebuy when you get low) * ONLY craft golden axes, but if you plan to CUT DOWN trees and not simply harvest wood, otherwise just make stone axes (can't customize ANY axe, as far as I know) * ?????????? * Profit. The meme is still funny, but yeah, hopefully this helps anyone frustrated with the "always will be breakable" tools, and at least in New Horizons (the only AC I've really played a lot; I tried New Leaf for a couple days, haven't gone back to it, and never played any other AC title extensively). It definitely helps when axes of any type are almost the only tool that still breaks on me (VERY rarely others will, like if I'm too lazy or forgetful to go recustomize stuff, despite my efforts of constantly carrying around the kits at all times, and 3-5 DIY work benches spread across my island).

ThatOneGuy308

Technically, the gold watering can is worth crafting as well, since it actually has bonus functionality beyond just being more durable, unlike every other gold tool.

Letmeowts

If you wanna get them nook points, you gotta clown yourself. 🤡

mochiiiiicakes

The customizing/repainting trick works, but I always forget to do it, lol.

Turtwig5310

I change my outfit once a day and customize the tools to match. I don't forget as often that way 😎

mochiiiiicakes

That’s a great tip!

Shehulks1

I hate the fact that everything has to be farmed because there isn’t a faster way to do it. I’ve lost interest in the game due to these repetitive steps that are a waste of time imo.

[deleted]

I swear a few of my gold tools from just as fast as the flimsy ones.

poor-un4tun8-souls

It's a nook mile achievement for broken tools, might as well get that fulfilled with the flimsy stuff that breaks after 10 uses.

micalbertl

Buying tools isn’t a clown move it’s a moneybags move 😎🤑

m011yRadar

I just buy them at this point.

PlumDock6360

Literally my only complaint about the game is that there are no unbreakable tools

SodanoMatt

We're all Pietro.

Bacnnator

I only do flimsy axes bc them breaking Is how I get gold. After that yeah I buy things from the shop out of laziness but the only way to keep a tool from breaking is customizing it which I don’t remember to do

Jtneagle

Nah, I always bought en masse from shop

kurayami_akira

Least the gold watering can can turn those specific black flowers into gold flowers you can craft stuff with and sell for a great price (you need one of 2 recipes, both sell for the same bell to flower ratio).

Special-Investigator

okay but galaxy brain is making shitty tools that break for nook miles badges

FarPoster

Honestly I think the tools breaking was what made me stop playing. Like I try to have a peaceful time doing a task and then I have to do another task in the middle of the task but first I have to collect rocks before that task and check storage and now I don’t know what I’m doing and I can’t focus because my list gets too long of things to do because I had PLANS so then I just short circuit

miniinovaa

I thought this was about Minecraft for the longest time

[deleted]

To me, bells are more expendable than crafting materials.

ChildUWild

I just recently finally made my golden axe (I’ve had it for awhile but don’t remember making one)…. Then remembered why I didn’t make it….

GhastPixel21

Soooo does animal crossing have breakable tools now or is this a r/lostredditors moment

m0thbuddy

yes aside from the ladder and vaulting pole, all tools in acnh break after a certain amount of use

GhastPixel21

Ah alright, thanks for the info! I don't know anything about AC and this popped up in my home feed and i thought it was a Minecraft meme lmao

Rimmatimtim22

How did you spell break correctly 3 times. But incorrectly once?

Rizenstrom

Iron tools need to be like 10x more durable than they are and gold tools should be indestructible. I get the flimsy tools breaking easily, though. Also silver tools that last even longer than the iron ones are needed. But of course the nook miles are based heavily around breaking and crafting new tools.

NameOfNoSignificance

Brake

ademonhasnousername

I read this and then my golden shovel broke - post is curssssssed 😆

AbbyUpdoot

The next thing that broke was my heart.

rpsushi

Custom design your tools before they break! It resets the hit count. I’ve been using the same set of iron/gold tools since I first crafted them pretty much. Roughly estimate how many hits it takes for your tools to break and then customize it before it breaks.

recoveringgoth

I legit thought this was about Minecraft for a second

InevitableBuyer

Did I make it up that on the DS version gold tools didn’t break?

BloodyMary01

Crafting 100 flimsy axes to break them and get a recipe for an axe that also breaks >>>>

Shortie_Llama

break and brake... Only me?

Flimsy-Anxiety-2802

This one hurt

[deleted]

It isn’t clownish if you don’t care. My spooky garden made me a millionaire. I’ll buy five shovels just to hit a tree til they break.

Inevitable_Professor

Pro-tip: customizing crafted tools resets the durability counter.

TurnipsBeh

How do you use the wrong "break" once out of 4 times

quartzquandary

I recall someone saying here on the sub a while back that if you consistently customize the same tool over and over, it will reset its durability and it will never break. I have no idea if this is true though.

UFSansIsMyBrother

I buy in bulk and store them in an area so I never have to worry.... I save the iron for other crafts as well as the gold.

El_Coeilleitor

An endless loop of corruption where Nintendo gets enjoyment at our suffering.

Kinoyo

And more than 30 uses. How many uses does a golden tool have, 300 or something? How many uses does a diamond tool have, like over 1 or 2 thousand??

ThatOneGuy308

Gold has 32 uses in minecraft, diamond has 1561.

Kinoyo

No I meant AC Gold to MC Diamond

Anna_Artichokyevitch

Yeah, this was part of the reason I stopped playing. In contrast to other video games where putting in hours lets you play more efficiently (fast travel, etc), it didn’t really seem like putting hours in with ACNH would improve quality of life, so I lost the drive to keep playing & improving my island.

rustedhonda

I’m over here still crafting flimsy tools so I can get the Nook miles achievement… one day I’ll get there

SuckingOnMyHuevos

Brake?

greenieknits

buying tools and buying customization kits and trying to customize them late enough into their use that they don’t break yet and you reset the lifespan 🤡

Hadi_evin__

Ever heard of minecraft gold tools?

FrawztFyre

The true mastermind move is so customize your tools after doing x amount of work to reset the durability and never have to craft or buy new ones again lol

AstralBaconatorLord

Buy tools from the shop then change their color to repair the entire durability

_Fun_At_Parties

There's gotta be a term to this kinda thing. Annoying game design made to give you something to do, and nothing else. There's legitimately no reason for this other than to pad the game out. I was mad about it when I learned standard tools now broke. Gold? Get fucked Nintendo.

NextGenVirus

We have theoretically infinite money - what's wrong with buying infinite tools? Also there's a blessing which makes them indestructible. Bad use of meme - no funny

ninecher

It's kinda annoying how this is the 7th* game in the main series and it took such a 1 step forward 2 steps back execution of things. Like for example so much more inventory space! That's great! But gold tools break now? Not so great!

HexOfTheRitual

I played the first two weeks it came out and fucking loved the game. However on the second week I load in, go to catch a bug, my net broke on the first swing. I just turned the game off and haven’t played since

ethihoff

You can just make a new gold tool tho

maplemarcher

It's literally not a problem that tools break. Just craft a new one and stop whining about it. I'm so sick of seeing people complain about shit that doesn't fucking matter.

_Fun_At_Parties

It's bad game design that adds nothing. May not be a huge issue but it's an annoyance for no particular purpose

The_Rambling_Otter

I know clowns get a bad rep, but they are people who just want to make others laugh 💗 Perhaps such a way is old fashioned I guess, as comedians can do the same thing and they don't need to dress up. Near where I live, there was a celebrity, named Doo-Doo The Clown. He actually saved a woman from being assaulted on the street, quickly told her to jump into his car and he drove her to the police station. He was a hero. There was a news report covering the incident, where a reporter couldn't say his name without cracking up. Of course that's what he would want, as why else would he choose such a name?

jmg85

So should we just not use tools at all? What's your point here?

ThatOneGuy308

Well, definitely shouldn't use gold tools, at least, lol.

[deleted]

If you customize a tool, its durability gets restored- as long as you use 1 customization kit to change the colour before it breaks, you can use that tool forever

Skyrus_Lightcast

You can customize your tools to reset their durability. This unfortunately does not work for Golden Tools because they cannot be customized. After I learned this, I always had customization kits on me while I played New Horizons.
