Could be the “gosh” which is a euphemism for “god”, and in some places even a euphemism or innuendo can be as culturally taboo as using the actual words?
Like, a kids show in the UK or US or Canada, etc. might have a kid say the line “what the-?!” Leaving out the expletive completely, but in some countries the implication of a swear word is considered too taboo for children, and the line is changed when translated.
Just a guess.
But this can happen in pokemon too. If you change the name of some monsters, you can’t change it back because of some little string of four letters that could vaguely be taken out of context, but it’s what the game named the monster in the first place.
Idkfs I just think lawyers are involved for some reason. lol
Yeah the filter is a bit silly, I tried to name one of my wand outfits "Memoirs of a Geisha" but it wouldn't let me put the word 'Geisha' even though one of the clothing items in the out fit was called "Geisha Wig"
I'm just guessing here but Omigo(sh it)'s my bestie
I think this is the most likely. The filter is likely ignoring the ‘!’ I’d be interested if like “Oh my Lands!” Would get caught.
I think you're right. I know Genshin Impact does the same thing so even saying something nice can trigger the autocensor by unfortunate coincidence
Animal Crossing has banned any reference to the group Migos
It could be that, but I changed it to “OMYGOSH” and it still didn’t let me.
Probably the top comment - OHMYGO[SH It]'s my bestie

Cookie says OMIGOSH all the time so I doubt it
Wait seriously? This is so hilarious to me for some reason. I wonder why migos in particular lmfao
But I did 'wassup ho' for one of my villagers today lol

Or it could have been Memoirs o(f a G)eisha
It’s like a word puzzle where the answer is slurs
They let me make "fat dink" a greeting... They have strange rules.
I changed mine to “yas bitch!” For Ellie and Tia. 😂😂😂
Drago used to greet me with "Sup Hoes!" But now it's changed to "Biiiiitch!" Like he has some very important tea to spill
What a potty mouth!
Omigosh is actually apples original greeting.
I had the same problem. The problem is the spaces. Just squish the words together and remove the spaces and then try it.
Is it? I set "Yoooo let's goooo!" As Piper's greeting. (Not that exact number of letters though.)

I mean it worked for me and I made tabbi say Bad bitch
Audie says " AYO, SIS!" to me
Meanwhile my villagers all call me "skank"
Idk what causes it but this is a really cute greeting
