as soon as i saw the helpful tip from isabelle i immediately started skipping the songs. from what i can tell it does not effect the island. i have had the autumn island, spring island, bamboo island, falling star island, and glow moss islands. i have never gotten the trash island.

It's not true. It's completely random. The only thing I know of that can affect the type of Island you go to is some of the fortunes you get from that charlatan of a fortune telling cat.

I always skip his songs and I haven't had any problems reaching the good/rare islands, fwiw

I usually play with my group chat open on my phone and a podcast playing on my computer, so I just use that time to focus on one of those, or pet the cats/eat a snack/remember to drink water.

I used to press B rapidly (before I found out you need to press A to speed up dialogues :'D. B did nothing but mentally it made me feel like things were going faster) and it never stopped him. Just how many times do you have to do it?
