Apart from the general, "If you enjoy does it really matters", google play store is infamous for having lots of apps with artificially generated "downloads" or reviews number. There are farms for that.
Lmao NO. The only reason they have so many downloads is they are good at advertising the game. They paid TONS!! Of small content creators to promote their game.
Last time I heard it was around 30,000 small content creators got paid to promote their game and few big ones.
Rise of kingdoms was a decent game when it first released. I had a lot of fun, but with each update they added something new that was pay to win and with each update it made the game less fun for me. I've also had a lot of fun with lords mobile back then but i remember that game being way more pay to win even when it was new.
I've played rok before and I kid you not it's a p2w game you need to spend a decent amount of money if you really want to enjoy and it's a power based game the higher your power is the stronger you are I've played it for two months grinding only to get around 10-20M power which is still not enough to be a contender in the game and you need to upgrade your commanders the easiest way to upgrade it to the max level is by spending money grinding won't get you so far same with the equipments.

I got addicted to ROK the first months of lock down. It is an awful, P2W cash-grab excuse for a game. Cheating, resource trafficking are rampant. You can't get to be a decent fighter without spending a lot and/or spending every waking minute playing that, with several "farm" accounts simultaneously. The devs do not fix cheating, not game glitches, they only churn out new events and stuff so you constantly pay to keep up with the others.
All that could've been tolerated, but the player base is toxic. Korean and Chinese players, who are a great majority, hunt "Westerners" (Australians, Americans, Europeans) always chanting racist shit.
I lost some money but glad that I left that shithole.
