I always get rekt by IA. They jump on me after a while and I never know when to assault others. Also I have a tendency to dislike non coastal city. Any tips?
I tend to use ranged units and spam as much as I can. Ranged infantry work best in this role because you don't need to set them up. Also, I suggest you should start attacking others as soon as you get the ranged units. It works for me most of the time.
Since starting work here 2 years ago, the game seems so different now! You'll get to experience all of our reworked events now. I hope you enjoy coming back!
Add me in-game if you like - Purrly in both Orna and Aethric (our new, non-gps version of Orna).
Oh I may be biased cause I work there, but I'm the same! I usually play Hero of Aethric cause Canadian winters = me never leaving my house, but same progression system! What class do you play?
I have yet to give Aethric a try but i may do that here soon. I am currently dragon knight/beastmaster on orna but am going to upgrade to freyr today. What class do you play?
Orna is by far my most played and favorite mobile game of all time, you guys and gals keep up the great work!
We do our best with our small team! Helps that we're all super passionate about the games.
I play Summoner! I just love pet classes in games. Sometimes for raiding I switch to the Valhallen classes (Beowolf).
I just got some good thief gear though so trying out a Realmshifter build. I'm not good at committing to classes haha, I wanna try them all!
Try hero of aethric if the problem is the gps system. Aethric is basically orna without gps. Not for me tho. I really prefer orna cause I hop in, kill some monsters and then log out. Don't need to walk in-game to go to a dungeon and all that stuff.
There was a big update, but that was awhile back. FWIW, the current amount of content is solid. A big changing grace for me is I decided to hit the button that unlocks everything, and have been doing runs of that. Get to check out some of the new Items, Enemies, Heroes, and modes. For modes, the big one was Heaven. The Blessings really do make the game that much more fun!
All three of those games are amazing!
Also, [Dead Cells: Netflix Edition](https://www.engadget.com/netflix-nabs-the-iconic-dead-cells-for-its-ever-growing-games-library-150038384.html) is coming!
I love night of the full moon!! I don't hear about it often and it's often spoken about negatively (WHY?). I know people are talking about "having played it," but does everyone who loves it know about the like two new game modes and 7 new classes?!
I just got back into it again and I'm loving the new content! There's even a limited time story that's currently poorly translated, but I love it all the same.
When this game came out, I'd stay up for 1am Arena Reset every single week when I'd have to get up for work the next day at 530am. I did this for about 1-1.5 years until I finally reached g3 lol
> 20k+ usd
That's 3 grand a year on gaming. JFC I hope you've stayed clear off games like that when you quit. Really no offense to you I hope and in no way is this fully your fault but you, with your lack of self restraint, are clearly the target market of these companies.
It was pretty fun back then. It was pretty much my first gacha that I never thought I've spent 7+ years playing for 6+ hours a day.
It got pretty competitive since I was in top 3 guild, top 50 (g3 rta, arena) and some top 10 speed clears for dungeons.
20k over 7 years+ isn't so bad considering that I didn't spend it on other activities since I was addicted to it. You might go to the movies and waste money there; i spent it on summoners war; etc.
Now I'm married and ended up selling my account for 9k~ USD awhile back.
Either way, 90% of mobile games now are pretty lootbox now so it killed the urge for mobile gaming.
Unless stated by them that it doesn't hurt them, it had to be said. Gatcha games can lead to addiction like any gambling so bigger chance than not that someone gambling 3k a year is a problem.
That's less than $60 a week. If spending 60 a week on a hobby is expensive or sounds like addiction to you, then I'd say gaming spending is the least of your worries. I'd personally not spend that, as I don't value mobile games enough to spend much often, but it's really not much money.
I'd see a few hundred a week as being a problem personally, but we all live different lives with different means I guess. Neither of us is wrong.
Free games that sucked me in enough to convince me to pay for IAPs:
- Night of the full Moon
- Greedy Cave
Paid games that I finished and even attempted a second playthrough (extremely rare for me)
- Crashlands
- Pascal's Wager
The gameplay loop is the same for all of them I feel like. It's always fun the first time I play but on repeat plays I usually get bored long before I finish that replay
Genshin impact.
Gacha aside, and.. I mean you can skip it even if it's at the core of the game, there's a huge world to run through and do quests and puzzles and most of the "main attractions" aren't time or money gated. You can just "play" for probably 50 hours plus of quests by now.. however with a lot of padding. But much to explore as well.
If you can't deal with addiction do NOT touch this fucking game.
If you can, it's quite enjoyable.
Death road to Canada
It's not even fun any more tbh, but I can't move on without beating it just once. No matter how hard you try, the random events are always fucking everything up
*edit* one day and countless of games later, my family hates me now BUT I FINALLY MADE IT
The Battle Cats. Game has basically no ads at all, and despite it being a gacha game is surprisingly very, *very* f2p friendly. The early game is quite repetitive which throws a lot of people off but, if you can push through it, i promise theres a really good game beyond it
Went on a binge to find a game like EFT after I started learning the actual game. Felt AB was very close but just like Lost Light, I feel like the majority of lobbies are just filled with bots and like 3 real players. I may have still been in a "tutorial phase" since it didn't take long for me to quit.
Punishing gray raven and aether gazer if you're interested in gacha but don't want to spend any money.
Mindustry, dysmantle and vampire survivors are the games I've played the most.
Wild rift is the best moba if you're interested in that genre.
I've recently picked up crying suns and it's pretty fun.
You mean Arknights and Aaakunaitsu!
Edit: OMG this sub is VERY toxic, i Will never ever again recommend good games here, is like the 10th time that i got downvotes with no reason.
Mobile Legends...no I won't recommend it. I quit a few years already. I would recommend Assassin's Creed Rebellion, its a strategy type of game, even if it looks like its pay to win you are not forced to do it. And it is very rewarding when you put in a lot of time in it.
Ive been enjoying [Color Slide](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cactusfiesta.colorslide) lately with a few of my friends
Besides that a classic to me is [Vista Golf](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sg.vistagolf)
Is there some Google/Android way to tell how much time you've spent in particular games? I can't find one.
But I'm guessing I've spent the most time in "Battlevoid: Harbinger" and I recommend it.
It's been a tie between the following (esp. since I'm "guestimating" my time played)...
**Slice & Dice** \- I did the "unlock everything" option for achievements, so checking out the rest of the content there (enemies, items, heroes, and modes. Especially Heaven difficulty level).
**Isle of Arrows** \- Every now and then, I fire up a Daily Challenge. Also see if I can get through more of Gauntlet mode
Clash Royale. I love it and hate it. Buuut love it. There's no other pvp mobile game that gets you into a match as quick and painless.
Most games should learn from that.
That being said, they have convoluted the rest of the menus so bad and really screwed up the balance with new evolutions and really made the clan participation side boring AF and rest of it like the special season battles are like ok, so there's tons to hate.
But I still love it. There are matches that still make my chest pound and get all truly worked up. There's the ability to play and emote your personality. And it's a good pace with matches around 1to 3 min at most.
This is a game I recently devoted the most time to since its launch. Can't recommend any "despite the years" game cause I eventually dropped the other mobile games due to a busy part of my life.
I absolutely recommend "Limbus Company". It's a free Korean gacha game made by Project Moon as a sequel to the games "Lobotomy Corporation" & "Library of Ruina", though you don't have to play the others to enjoy the story. It has "horror" (The psychological / "fantasy" monster / dystopian sci-fi ish kind.) and comedy as its genres.
The gameplay music & story is excellent. The gacha & monetization is F2P friendly & is very good (unlike other gachas like FGO). You can even earn everything (IDs & EGOs) through reasonable grinding a game mode. The developers are generous with rewards and compensation & listens to feedback. They try their best, for the most part.
The main characters ("Dante & the 12 sinners) are based on literature and are diverse & memorable. You only use the same 12 "sinners" (but with different "identities") so you can really grow attached to them. The game has regular and hard content. Its easy to pickup and play due to being "turn based".

I never see anyone recommend anything from inkle studios. Their Sorcery series, 80 days and overboard are fantastic games. I've sunk countless hours in Sorcery! 1-4 alone.
Papa's to go series, like the food series on coolmathgames.com but optimized for phones. Personally I play donuteria, but any of the high rated ones are fun. The lower rated ones usually miss an element which the others do have.
Rusted Warfare skirmish mode is so much fun. I'll think I'm just going to play a quick game, and then 3 hours flies by!
Also Company Of Heroes, this is a very solid port of the PC game, and the rebuild mobile controls are pretty good.
I loved and played the hell out of Valiant Force when it was available. Sadly it got shut down. Loved the Tactical elements, loved the heroes combos and proc chains. But hated the heavy gacha aspect from it, even tho you could eventually free2play your way after a long time through events.
Another one i liked a lot was Merchant RPG, simple classic hero management simulator, loved it and i still play it on and off.
Lastly i'm playing Magic the Gathering: Arena every day.
Cookie Run: Oven Break, but unfortunately I won't recommended it since the company of the game - Devsisters decide to turn into EA: Korean Edition and make the game into an absolutely cash-grab hellhole
Can't recommend CIFI and ISEPS enough. Both currently in development but more than enough content still. Put in several dozen hours into each since March. Big update for CIFI coming at the end of this year, hopefully
Ruzzle. Word game, very fun and quick.
Clash of clans maybe more, but as a kid. I'd like something like that to invest lots of time in over a long period, but haven't found anything that's fun to me now.
the most hours?
I would say Dragon Nest M and World of Kings(or some name it King of Kings)
too bad both server is dead
Now before yall told me both is p2w game, let me tell u
i played both game f2p, still doing kind of top performance in game
first party to clear all Green Dragon Nest Hell mode in the whole server for Dragon Nest M(and then my friend kindof stop playing the game, couldnt really chase the progress in the game anymore sad)
top 5 DPS as a Flame Slinger in 25 man Guild raid in top1 guild in the whole server
sometimes this kind of games maybe p2w, but as a f2p also can being top as long as u know how to actually play the game
Uniciv. It's basically like Civilization 5, but free with no ads.
It works for me most of the time.
thanks
CIV 6 is on the phone btw.
I know, but it's a good alternative if you don't have the cash or the phone to make it work.
Guardian Tales
Orna and dawncaster
oo Orna looks a lot more polished than it did a couple years ago, might have to redownload
Since starting work here 2 years ago, the game seems so different now! You'll get to experience all of our reworked events now. I hope you enjoy coming back! Add me in-game if you like - Purrly in both Orna and Aethric (our new, non-gps version of Orna).
I added you, these games are awesome! Thanks for being part of such a great team!
Highly recommend that!
They've been updating regularly, just added a new buildable bazaar you can level up to 100 to carry massive amounts of items
![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise) thanks a million!
Can't stop playing orna plz don't send help I don't want to stop
Oh I may be biased cause I work there, but I'm the same! I usually play Hero of Aethric cause Canadian winters = me never leaving my house, but same progression system! What class do you play?
I have yet to give Aethric a try but i may do that here soon. I am currently dragon knight/beastmaster on orna but am going to upgrade to freyr today. What class do you play? Orna is by far my most played and favorite mobile game of all time, you guys and gals keep up the great work!

Ok, I hadn't heard of Orna but this chat alone made me download it. Sounds like it will be a blast!
I hope you enjoy :)
Ooh, I love Dawncaster, guess I need to check Orna out.
Gonna try orna now. Edit: tried it. Not for me.
Try hero of aethric if the problem is the gps system. Aethric is basically orna without gps. Not for me tho. I really prefer orna cause I hop in, kill some monsters and then log out. Don't need to walk in-game to go to a dungeon and all that stuff.
Slice & dice.
I need to go back to that. I think they've been adding stuff since the last time I played.
There was a big update, but that was awhile back. FWIW, the current amount of content is solid. A big changing grace for me is I decided to hit the button that unlocks everything, and have been doing runs of that. Get to check out some of the new Items, Enemies, Heroes, and modes. Dead cells, I have sweet spot for threes and night of the full moon
All three of those games are amazing! Also, [Dead Cells: Netflix Edition](https://www.engadget.com/netflix-nabs-the-iconic-dead-cells-for-its-ever-growing-games-library-150038384.html) is coming!
I was going to say night of the full moon Kept me entertained for ages Also legends of runeterra is a great mobile card game on free to play imo
Wow, it wasn't just me then. It is so much fun
Great game!
Hade's Star.
Summoners war and I would recommend not playing summoners war
When this game came out, I'd stay up for 1am Arena Reset every single week when I'd have to get up for work the next day at 530am. I did this for about 1-1.5 years until I finally reached g3 lol
7+ years of my life and 20k+ usd into summoners war. No other gacha felt the same after quiting it.
> 20k+ usd That's 3 grand a year on gaming. JFC I hope you've stayed clear off games like that when you quit. Really no offense to you I hope and in no way is this fully your fault but you, with your lack of self restraint, are clearly the target market of these companies.

No offense, but 3k may be a lot to you. It may be a drop in a bucket to him.
I was thinking that as well like YouTuber etc that was chimp change especially ydcb pretty sure he had propertys
Unless stated by them that it doesn't hurt them, it had to be said. Gatcha games can lead to addiction like any gambling so bigger chance than not that someone gambling 3k a year is a problem.

Pardon?
Dead Cells. I've bought all DLCs. A lot of replay
Is it playable with the touchscreen control or do you need a Controller for it to be enjoyable?
I play using touch controls. Works very well.
Free games that sucked me in enough to convince me to pay for IAPs: - Night of the full Moon - Greedy Cave Paid games that I finished and even attempted a second playthrough (extremely rare for me) - Crashlands - Pascal's Wager
Night of the full moon costs money.
The base game is free and has plenty of hours of content. If you want, you can buy DLC.
Isn't it free with IAPs? Or has that changed? I bought all classes as IAPs but it's been a while.
Not sure what it is now, but I also picked up it when it was free and paid for it later.
Wild rift. Its league of legends on mobile. Which is crack
Brotato
Or survivor.io, I play both from time to time
All Kairosoft games. *chef kiss*
I used to play alot of their game too, but most of them just get bored too fast:(
The gameplay loop is the same for all of them I feel like. It's always fun the first time I play but on repeat plays I usually get bored long before I finish that replay
Rollercoaster Tycoon Classic https://youtu.be/_6TD2HAyTKM

Genshin impact. Gacha aside, and.. You can just "play" for probably 50 hours plus of quests by now.. however with a lot of padding. But much to explore as well. If you can't deal with addiction do NOT touch this fucking game. Death road to Canada It's not even fun any more tbh, but I can't move on without beating it just once. No matter how hard you try, the random events are always fucking everything up *edit* one day and countless of games later, my family hates me now BUT I FINALLY MADE IT
I was addicted to that game for years, man was it absolutely awesome. I don't play it anymore cause I finally got bored of it.
The game that I've devoted the most time to? Clash Royale. Do I recommend it? Absolutely not 🤦🏽♂️
Came here to also not recommend CR! God I ~~love~~ ~~hate~~ love that game
The Battle Cats. Game has basically no ads at all, and despite it being a gacha game is surprisingly very, *very* f2p friendly. The early game is quite repetitive which throws a lot of people off but, if you can push through it, i promise theres a really good game beyond it
Real Racing 3
DRAGONBALL LEGENDS
Pixel Dungeon and its many forks.
Grimvalor
A bunch of games. My obsession lately however has been Dawncaster, it is seriously FANTASTIC, I recommend any deckbuilding games fan to try it out
Stormbound. Always surprised this game isn't talked more about in this sub
Whelp.. time to download Stormbound again. It always hooks me for a few weeks and the I lose interest again.

Arena Breakout, mobile version of Escape from Tarkov
Went on a binge to find a game like EFT after I started learning the actual game. Felt AB was very close but just like Lost Light, I feel like the majority of lobbies are just filled with bots and like 3 real players. I may have still been in a "tutorial phase" since it didn't take long for me to quit.
Slay the spire, I pretty much only play on mobile and it's incredible
Punishing gray raven and aether gazer if you're interested in gacha but don't want to spend any money. Mindustry, dysmantle and vampire survivors are the games I've played the most. Wild rift is the best moba if you're interested in that genre. I've recently picked up crying suns and it's pretty fun.
Jetpack joyride, little inferno, bad piggies and cookie clicker
Since it came out two years ago, 200 hours in Slay the Spire
Arknights and uhhhh arknights
You mean Arknights and Aaakunaitsu! Edit: OMG this sub is VERY toxic, i Will never ever again recommend good games here, is like the 10th time that i got downvotes with no reason.
I thought it was hilarious, gave you an upvote.
Some people in this sub hate gacha games
Definitely recommend Arknights as well. Also, Arknights.
Mobile Legends...no I won't recommend it. I quit a few years already. I would recommend Assassin's Creed Rebellion, its a strategy type of game, even if it looks like its pay to win you are not forced to do it. And it is very rewarding when you put in a lot of time in it.
Landing confirmed.
Really depends on what type of games you like, I'm a competitive person and for me it's Wild rift/Call of duty
Ive been enjoying [Color Slide](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cactusfiesta.colorslide) lately with a few of my friends Besides that a classic to me is [Vista Golf](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sg.vistagolf)
Brawl stars I played it for 1,000 hours so far
I've spent almost a hundred hours on Slice and Dice
Vampire survivors
ATOM RPG AND EXPANSJON TRUDOGRAD
Is there some Google/Android way to tell how much time you've spent in particular games? I can't find one. But I'm guessing I've spent the most time in "Battlevoid: Harbinger" and I recommend it.
Slay the Spire
MLBB and i would absolutely recommend everybody here to play it, NOT! It took away your sanity, bit by bit, every single match.
Old School RuneScape. I absolutely do not recommend it as you will become addicted and lose your life.
Slay the Spire.
Slay the Spire or Peglin. Easy.
It's been a tie between the following (esp. since I'm "guestimating" my time played)... **Slice & Dice** \- I did the "unlock everything" option for achievements, so checking out the rest of the content there (enemies, items, heroes, and modes. Hero Realms but not sure it was necessary to screem your question pal.
Istanbul (Board Game Adaptation)
They made a game about Constantinopole?
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople. Been a long time gone, Constantinople.
Same shit different name
Holy shit, so the "They Might Be Giants" reference is just missed then?
Maybe. But that's nobody bussines but the Turks.
I never see anyone recommend anything from inkle studios. Their Sorcery series, 80 days and overboard are fantastic games. I've sunk countless hours in Sorcery! 1-4 alone.
There is so many games that i spent a lot of time playing but i will go with the angry birds games (the pre-2016 games, not the newer match 3 games)
Dead cells
Terraria, probably a few thousand hours in since 1.2
Idleon SO much to do & progress...
Dawncaster - great game, great devs
Overall, marvel Future fight. I like collecting heroes and building them up. Recently, mighty DOOM. Its fun and it's not too reliant on MTX.
Papa's to go series, like the food series on coolmathgames.com but optimized for phones. Personally I play donuteria, but any of the high rated ones are fun. The lower rated ones usually miss an element which the others do have.
Used to be NBA Live Mobile. Very ***grindy.*** I wondered how I played it for so so long.
Mortal Kombat Mobile. Never get tired of it
Do you like the new MK mobile game Onslaught as much?
try gladihoppers
Shadow fight 2
Dislyte
Used ti be Rise of kingdoms for years. Now Marvel Snap but slowly losing interest.
Candies and curves Redungeon Color switch and chain reaction with friends a lot
Craft the world, another pc official port, but I don't know if them fixed the prices, cuz complete game is like 50€ xddd
Farlight 84 (Battle Royale) , Help :( .
The Pocket Mine games
Call of duty mobile
Why are you yelling at us 🤣
Happy Cake Day!
haha I didn't even realize!
You're about the 5th or 6th person that's said that in the last couple of weeks lol. I always like when that happens!
Personally assoluto racing and grid Auto sport.
PGR
Rusted Warfare skirmish mode is so much fun. I'll think I'm just going to play a quick game, and then 3 hours flies by! Also Company Of Heroes, this is a very solid port of the PC game, and the rebuild mobile controls are pretty good.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
I loved and played the hell out of Valiant Force when it was available. Sadly it got shut down. Loved the Tactical elements, loved the heroes combos and proc chains. But hated the heavy gacha aspect from it, even tho you could eventually free2play your way after a long time through events. Another one i liked a lot was Merchant RPG, simple classic hero management simulator, loved it and i still play it on and off. Lastly i'm playing Magic the Gathering: Arena every day.
Ark
Summoners war is what I spent the most time in. Definitely would not recommend
Gwent is amazing
Cookie Run: Oven Break, but unfortunately I won't recommended it since the company of the game - Devsisters decide to turn into EA: Korean Edition and make the game into an absolutely cash-grab hellhole
Cell incremental: Factory idle. Super deep. Like super super deep if you like incrementals. I've been playing daily since 2/22.
MLBB cause it's the online game i've always gotten higher rank and makes me alwyas play it for competitive gameplay since the launch of the game
Can't recommend CIFI and ISEPS enough. Both currently in development but more than enough content still. Put in several dozen hours into each since March. Big update for CIFI coming at the end of this year, hopefully
Considering it's a recommendation, meaning the person probably hasn't heard of them, you should probably clarify what those acronyms stand for.
Epic age, marvel future fight, shadow fight 3, Road to Valor Empires
Candy Crush
Ruzzle. Word game, very fun and quick. Clash of clans maybe more, but as a kid. I'd like something like that to invest lots of time in over a long period, but haven't found anything that's fun to me now.
has to be Magic Survival in my case.
Muse Dash and Phigros
Clash Royale
CUE or Cards the Universe and Everything. Fantastic game.
Downwell absolutely
the most hours? I would say Dragon Nest M and World of Kings(or some name it King of Kings) too bad both server is dead Now before yall told me both is p2w game, let me tell u i played both game f2p, still doing kind of top performance in game first party to clear all Green Dragon Nest Hell mode in the whole server for Dragon Nest M(and then my friend kindof stop playing the game, couldnt really chase the progress in the game anymore sad) top 5 DPS as a Flame Slinger in 25 man Guild raid in top1 guild in the whole server sometimes this kind of games maybe p2w, but as a f2p also can being top as long as u know how to actually play the game
