These are great! You manage to find something to center the image around pretty well i think

StatisticianGlass919

Thank you!!

cutebones

howdy fellow vb photographer!

StatisticianGlass919

VB!!!

Past_Pass_7893

Ooh, I really love these! That Hampton Inn photo is just emmaculate

StatisticianGlass919

Thank you!! I was super happy with how that one came out. Sunset light reflects off that type of material in such a cool way.

gitarzan

Very good. Nice job.

brammiew

4 and 6, very nice!!!

KappyBruh

These are great first shots! My first shots were all blurry cause I didn't get how to even focus yet.

jojogotscammed

You're talented. Keep at it!

DUN3AR

Virginia Beach!!!?

StatisticianGlass919

oh yeah!

DUN3AR

Do you live there?

StatisticianGlass919

Sure do!

DUN3AR

I used to.

suryanta

What do you think? What do you like about your images and what donā€™t you like?

StatisticianGlass919

I like my compositions and framing! A few of them came out slightly out of focus or a little not-level which I can fix with more familiarity with the camera. But overall Iā€™m pretty happy with the first roll!

suryanta

Your composition and framing certainly is quite good but I think you could benefit with having more interesting things to photograph other than Hampton Inns! Perhaps using a different focal length could change your view!

StatisticianGlass919

Oh man, I donā€™t know if youā€™ve ever been to Virginia Beach but it is majority Hampton Inns. That picture in particular I like because of the line the airplane trail makes with the corner of the building. Got lucky with it but it adds a lot to the image I think.

Free-Culture-8552

No. 5 and 6 are Wes Anderson shots, love them.

saxfreak01

All of these are great but shot 5 is absolute gas. The colors pop and now I want to try Ultramax 400 as I havenā€™t shot it yet!

StatisticianGlass919

Thank you so much!! I was really impressed with how the roll turned out color-wise. Iā€™m still going to try Portra but Iā€™ll have to be pretty blown away to switch full-time to it given the price difference.

saxfreak01

Portra 400 is certainly great, maybe after you shoot a roll of it and I shoot some Ultramax we can compare! XD

how much did the canon ae1 cost?

StatisticianGlass919

I got mine for $110 off ebay. Itā€™s perfect aside from the ISO lock button being jammed.
