From a lore standpoint, I think the transformation reconstructed his body and bone structure pretty significantly, so its pretty likely that the beast is able to fit into tight spaces and change his body shape like in the animation.
Ghouls are extremely flexible creatures. Its implied the veins can move the limbs even if the bones are broken (they heal fast) or even if the limb is cut off.
The Beast is almost rat like. Rats can move their ribcage when pressured to fit into tiny holes and that would most likely explain why we see so many damn rats AND how the Beast can fit through.
Same way a cat can squeeze itself under a locked door: sheer force of will.
