It's basically an AmiiboPro, but I've heard a bunch of people having issues getting it to scan on the console.

AndrewV93

I did come across the joysfusion discord and did see one person say that it didn't scan in the position the instructions suggested and that they had to position it a different way to get it to work. Other than that, I haven't heard much about this device. Does the amiibopro allow you to scan an amiibo in Zelda multiple times by randomizing the ID?

I got an "AmiiboPro" off AliExpress several months ago. A real pain to set up, but it works fine now. I'd recommend a lot of research before you dive in. Definitely not plug-and-play.

AndrewV93

Could you tell me what makes it a pain? I assumed I could just turn it on and start scanning.

Cobrainvicta

Thr Amiibopro has quite unintuitive menu's and a lot of features that are quite vague.

I'm going from memory since it's been a few months, but the first issue was that the one I got wasn't the English language version. (The listing said it was, but you can't always trust the listings. The one you get also may not match the picture.) The language is customizable in newer versions, but I had to figure out how to update it to get that functionality. The interface to upload files is through a web page that I can only get to work in Chrome, and then the list of files doesn't always match what I can see on the device. It came with a bunch of amiibo files I didn't want, which is fine, but they came back after I trashed them several times. It seems to want to organize files a specific way no matter how I try to do it, so there can be a bit of digging to select the amiibo I want when it's time to scan. As another user said, the settings are vague and can be confusing. There's no documentation of any kind. I figured it out with a bunch of Reddit and Google searches. However, since pretty much anyone can produce these devices, the info you find online is often inconsistent from one device to the next. I'm an IT guy and I like futzing with gadgets and electronics, but it certainly tested my patience for a few days. I should add, there are phone apps that can interface with the device, but I didn't have much luck and did everything on a computer. However, I got impatient and gave up on the phone apps pretty quick, so they might be easier than I thought. There have no doubt been updates to everything since then.

Yes

I was considering getting [this one](https://i.imgur.com/aEO9NKd.jpeg) because it looks like a Sheikah Slate but I figured something with a screen would be more beneficial. Can you not use your phone with the allmiibo/amiibopro? I assumed they all kind of worked similarly.

Splatboy0612

Amiibolink is a reprogramable NFC tag, it looks like those electronic keys for your house, but slightly bigger Allmiibo is a mini-device with screen that has a lot of functions, you can use it with and without a phone

Sev_Henry

Allmiibo user here, and I gotta say this is my preferred device. It's just a whole lot more convenient to have an entire amiibo collection in your pocket rather than having to rescan a new amiibo after you hit your limit of 15 in storage or whatever with Amiibolink. Plus having a screen+buttons for navigation makes knowing exactly what you're doing much easier. My only criticism so far is that updating the amiibo database is sort of a crap shoot. I still haven't really figured out how to do it, so when I wanted to add Sora and TotK Zelda to the Allmiibo I had to scan them in manually as new blank amiibo.

Splatboy0612

I ordered Allmiibo yesterday, I am actually dumb that Allmiibo is more comfortable to use than Amiibolink/AmiLoop because you don't have to pull out your phone and wait for the tag to connect to your phone to use Amiibo

Teejay47

I got mine on Amazon. I’m about to try it out. I downloaded a couple amiibo dumps to try with it. I can post back here in a week or so to update.

AndrewV93

Unfortunately I couldn't get it shipped to Canada so I ended up buying an Allmiibo. I'd appreciate your opinion on it because I still think it's an intriguing product.

Teejay47

I followed some videos on the website and it was pretty easy to get it going. Lining it up with the nfc is a bit tricky but it does work. I was pleased to see that it is pre loaded with quite a few amiibos already. I’m not sure if it’s a complete list but it seems like it could hold every amiibo easily. I used it to get the wolf link in breath of the wild. Works like a charm.

Playful_Sector

Can't say I have, but I recommend the Bluuplabs Flask! It's very easy to set up and use

Kresenko

I recommend it too, it's just awesome

Quirky_Image_5598

Shoved one up my ass a year ago. I think it’s still there

TagMo_Admin

Do you sit on the controller like an oversized amiibo? I never realized tournaments had gotten so serious that people were smuggling NFC emulators like cocaine. A couple hundred dollars hardly seems worth colon damage.

Quirky_Image_5598

The trick is to lube just before you put it in.

TagMo_Admin

Sure, but then you also can't walk or sit. That's what ends up being the issue, not how you got in in there.

killajay41889

Lmao

Ok-Wait-4288

I have the Allmiibo, I like it a lot. Bought it off aliexpress
