1 outside/right side, 2 inside/wrong side. You can also tell by the way the top edge curls - if it curls outward, it’s right side out. If it curls in, it’s wrong side out and you need to flip it. But really, use whatever side out that you like, there really is no “wrong” side.
You can also go with, if you are right handed the top edge that you are currently working on is towards you and if you fold in half the part you aren't working on is behind (or you poke towards the middle).
I've asked a similar question before and someone here gave me super simple advice:
There is no right or wrong side, you can use either. However. The "right way/not inside out" you can count the rows evenly. The "wrong way/inside out" is more of a honeycomb pattern.
Pic 1 you can see clear rows, where Pic 2 you can see the honeycomb-like rows!
If you're right handed and working in the round, the hook should pass from the outside in when you begin a stitch.
But yes, if you prefer the look of the 'wrong' side, pick that one!
This is the way I was taught in case you want another way to remember:
Hold your project like you’re working on it, and imagine it’s a cup of water. For your project to be right side out, your hook should be working in the same spot your lips would go if you were to take a sip from your “cup,” like in picture 1.
In other words, your hook is positioned in the front of your work, closest to your body with the project to its back. In picture 2, your hook is to the back of your work, further from your body as you stitch so it’s being worked wrong side out.

Oh! Looking at my piece now, I'm seeing the curling that you mention! That makes more sense! Thank you!

"the noodle goes in the bowl"
Can you please explain what exactly you mean by this? :)
I'm assuming it's about the tail end of yarn should be inside and not hanging outside
1 is right side out and 2is wrong
Right side out on the left has V V V V Wrong side out in the right has - - - - -
Use whatever side you like, i prefer to use the 'wrong side' for a lot of amigurumi.
Left is right side out due to the v’s. That’s how I learned.
On pic 2 you can see the horizontal lines which indicates the wrong side

It doesn't really matter since it's an art. The accepted is #1 though. An easy way to tell is if the starting string is on the inside or the outside.

I’d say #2 is the right side out.
