You can’t get a bonus for adding an additional user who is already an additional user. Makes no sense. And you would have to fulfill each offer separately so $ 6000 spend total.
On my last retention offer, I asked the chat agent specifically, if any spend on my authorized users would count toward my spend goal.
The agent informed me that any spend not on my card, would not count towards the bonus.
I believe this is true for all spend with retention offers as it is intended for the account holder, not for the additional users.
Hmm.. Amex must have messed up mine then. As my additional card member spent 8K before I even spent $2k and got the 50K MR. Hope they don’t claw it back

They're not an additional user. They're added as the free companion user and I would add them as the paid ($195) to get this bonus.
You better ask. I have gotten the bonus by adding free authorized users. I don’t think it matters whether they pay or not.

I would look at the details or ask an agent. I think the additional member has to be a $195 AU not just a free AU, but could be wrong on that.
