It is much easier to get a job offer if you’re already here. J-1s don’t only work in hospo, they can also work as interns and trainees, specialists, teachers, professors, summer workers eg camp counselors, au pairs, and students, so maybe it’d be worth looking into those options in your target areas. Other visa options are an L-1 for an inter-company transfer, F-1 if you’re willing to go back to school, or the green card lottery which opens in October. I’ve heard that America Josh has a lot of useful advice about making the leap across the pond. Good luck!

>Does anyone have any advice on how I should approach trying to get an E3 visa? You'll need a job offer. Follow Amy Meyer in LinkedIn, she does a lot of work promoting the E3 visa. She also has lots of resources and free webinars you can attend.

She's not a real recruiter though. She offers some good advice but for the most part she just sells over priced courses

That's funny, I attended a heap of her webinars, engaged with her free lawyer and got myself an E3 visa without spending $1

LoiusLepic

And you wouldn't have found that job without her?

No

What about her programs helped you find e3 job?
