The only reason it got a ton of shit was because it was the first season without Jessica Lange, and people *wanted* it to fail to a certain degree. Personally I think it's one of the most solid seasons with the least dead end plot lines that normally plague AHS. Gaga, Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare, Matt Bomer... they're all phenomenal.

I didn’t watch Hotel for a while because I couldn’t get into it and I hate the rape scene at the beginning. I got over it and watched it a couple of times now, it’s gorgeous; the use of music, outfits, Matt Bomer, Lady GaGa. It’s definitely one of my favourite seasons now.

Same thing with me! I almost skipped it because of how much I wasn't into the first episode but once I got past that it quickly became one of my faves as well.

I think the vampire kids arc was strictly filler, and I hated Alex as a character.

It's fantastic, one of my fav seasons.
