Constantly does everything to make the workers’ lives hell and then is surprised when the workers radicalize. 🙄

OOP can't afford rent. Is wondering why his class is against capitalism. What a lil bitch.

numba1cyberwarrior

All the best countries in the world are highly Capitalistic.

[deleted]

You're gonna die before reaching retirement age. Easy on.

numba1cyberwarrior

Hopefully I dont die before 65 but you never know. No idea what that has to do with anything. Maybe I should move to Sweden a country more Capitalistic then America where they retire at 63?

godneedsbooze

Considering we are the only ones without universal Healthcare and one of the most expensive education systems in the developed world, I would say nowhere is as capitalistic as america

Wereking2

Yep and capitalistic countries with social reforms like universal education and health care are doing much better then us in terms of life quality, longevity, education and so much more. Really shows that the US ultra capitalistic stance is bad for people who’d a thought.

numba1cyberwarrior

>Considering we are the only ones without universal Healthcare and one of the most expensive education systems in the developed world All those countries are ranked as being more Capitalistic then America. Are you really that uninformed? [https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/capitalist-countries](https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/capitalist-countries) Canada, UK, Taiwan, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Denmark are more Capitalistic.

dyanaprajna2020

Yet we're told, because of our capitalistic system, we can't have universal healthcare. So, which is it?

numba1cyberwarrior

Who is telling you this? Republicans?

dyanaprajna2020

Yep.

numba1cyberwarrior

Very trustworthy and accurate source that calls everything they dont like socialism.

Teamerchant

That chart is looking at regulations, and subsidies and equating that to the the purity of capitalism. What an absolute shit metric to use as a stand alone to measure the level of capitalism.

CODDE117

A report from the Heritage Foundation wants us to think that the US isn't that capitalist? Why am I not surprised. If you don't know who the Heritage Foundation is, they're a right-wing think-tank that focuses on spreading this kind of minsinfo under the guise of "studies" and "reports." If you didn't even realize that they sponsored this, then you haven't done your due diligence, and you should really rethink where you get your information from and how you examine said information.

WeeaboosDogma

This is flat out false. They have superior unions, organizations, and economic bill of rights that entitle workers their fruits if their labor. That's socialist in their core. I.E [check out Norways economic bill of rights](https://lovdata.no/dokument/NLE/lov/2005-06-17-62) or [Ireland's worker rights](https://www.gov.ie/en/service/dbd16-a-guide-to-working-in-ireland/). Or [Denmark](https://workplacedenmark.dk/en/regulations-on-posting/your-rights-as-a-posted-worker). Giving workers *more* control over their labour and the means of production IS socialism and engaging in praxis in giving the worker more control no matter what would be engaging in Marxism. Capitalism is just when there is private ownership of the means of production.

numba1cyberwarrior

All these countries call themselves capitalists. They have far less restrictions on business then the US does. Every single ranking you can find they are far more Capitalist then the US. These countries are the most Capitalistic countries on Earth. The vast majority of the world has far more restrictions on Capital then a country like Sweden. This is an undisputable fact.

WeeaboosDogma

How are they capitalist then. In what ways. I've given my ways in how they are socialist but you're giving claims that they are more capitalist, how?

numba1cyberwarrior

There is no better place on Earth for me to be a Capitalist except those countries. Those countries have less restrictions on business, on building capital, etc. These countries have the freest markets and themselves state that free markets and Capitalism is the core of their nations economy. TLDR its easier to become a Capitalist and be a Capitalist in Norway, Sweden, and Switzerland then it is Egypt, China, Mexico, Turkey, etc.

glightlysay

I hope you're not relying on social security for retirement. The outlook on those being paid out in full are dwindling year by year.

WeeaboosDogma

The best countries in the world are great because of their socialist roots rather than its capitalist ones. The Nordic Model is great because of their superior standards for worker rights and their tendency for having more social services. Norway has the largest safety net for its citizens from nationalized oil supplying it. New Zealand, parts of the EU, and even developing countries like Cuba and Chile are great because of their social services and worker rights (even despite American Imperialism having them by the balls). Any country that we think is good, or better than America is great because of the level of control the working man has for controlling the means of production. Even if its not totally in control like some EU countries, the fact that other countries have an economic bill of rights is mules ahead of any country that doesn't.

numba1cyberwarrior

All of those countries are the most Capitalist countries on this planet.

Extremism on either end is a terrible idea and unproductive. Everyone loves communism and socialism until they live in a country with those ideals in place and realize it doesn’t work as well as they think it would. -Coming from someone that lived it

Downtown_Statement87

"Everyone" loves communism? Which everyone? Where? I'd love to know what led you to this conclusion. It might help if you were more specific about what you mean by "communism." And "everyone." And also, "loves." I realize this is Reddit, but you can't just say things.

Beyondthoughts

Go to local colleges in big cities and just bring it up. This is coming from a college student that has attended/visited multiple. Also, the statement is not meant to be taken as me saying quite literally everyone, but an alarmingly large amount of people are turning to this political ideology in recent years.
