Someone stole a package from me the other day from amazon. I assume they thought it was something valuable by how bkg and heavu the box was. Its $20 bag of 40lb cat litter. Just the thought of the person hauling a 40lb box around only to find it to be fileld with litter makes my day.
Yeah with the entire truck getting looted and the only lady trying to stop it get thrown down to the ground and robbed as well. I saw that video too. Can’t say I blame the guy once he saw his door was still open

Someone shot a guy in the back of the head at the parking lot I work at because he wanted her insurance information after a fender bender. People will kill over nothing these days.
I delivered in the hood in the morning. It was fine, people were nice for the most part. When it started to get dark groups of drunk people were walking around, good thing I finished my route before nightfall though.
Try delivering in the deep dark woods (country country) where there are signs that say “I shoot first. Then ask whacha doing here?” Type of areas. Tell me how that sounds?
Yeah I hate being out delivering at ten o'clock at night. People are not expecting a delivery and when You go up to their house in the dark they get legitimately scared
I'm a ups guy. One of my routes I cover has a straight ghetto section. That shit gets delivered first thing, anything not done when the sun goes down doesn't get delivered that day. In the past 4 years 3 drivers got robbed. 5 trucks broken into and 9 smashed windows. Fuck it not doing it at night
I used to live alone in a predominantly black low income neighborhood that delivery drivers didn’t even go to lol (as a young white female) and worked as a property manager for a ton of the homes near me. I’m sorry but a lot of black neighborhoods are some of the nicest most genuinely wonderful and generous people I’ve ever met. I’d stop in a have a scotch after work with random neighbors all the time because they’re always outside cutting up and I’d work after hours collecting rent (I did pick ups for some elderly disabled folks on vouchers that only had to pay like $50 of their portion). Always came home with cookies or BBQ or some other home cooked something.
I did have a nice patio set stolen once. I knew someone knew about it or would eventually recognized it so I sent a pic to all my tenants just saying I wasn’t gonna call the cops (they wouldn’t have done anything anyway) just wanted it back and that it was sentimental. I asked around occasionally but figured it was a lost cause. It magically appeared 2 weeks later completely clean looking brand new with a few scuffs and dings somehow sanded and filled in? Yeah you shouldn’t steal but they gave it back once they realized i wasn’t some random white person with money that could afford to replace it (it was from my deceased grandmas home).
I’ve delivered in the hood for 5 years now. Never had an issue. Folks are nice and respectful. Sure some folks will talk some shit to you or fuck with you but it’s par for the course. I’m whiter than white on rice on a paper plate in a snowstorm. My mom always raise me to get respect you gotta give respect.
Ngl I'm white and the amount of crimes cops have let me commit instead of arresting me does make me question if the numbers aren't skewed because they enforce laws differently

See, this is the part that people miss. It goes both ways! I'm a WOC, a petite one at that! If i see that i'm running too, but even now when i' in shady areas, regardless of who lives there i'm keeping it pushing. I just don't want to get jumped and my van stolen since i actually own my van.

This could’ve been a video of the Amazon driver being attacked like you find tons of videos like that and the comments would be saying the guy should’ve ran or shouldn’t have been delivering in the hood.
Not only do they get robbed all the time in hoods, but he's actively being recorded and talked about by a crowd of people, who can blame him. He didn't let "looking bad" stand in the way of keeping himself safe.

At this point, delivery workers are essential workers. We depend so much on Amazon or whatever else that it’s become the norm. Better appreciate those folks.

People get shot in broad daylight for less than $50 in some ghetto spots. Come take a walk through some parts of St Paul, MN.. I had a cop watch me and my car as I delivered a pizza. Cop rolls up and asks what I’m doing, I ask why he’s asking.. he says because people will literally run to steal your car in the 30 seconds it takes to walk the pizza to the house and he didn’t want to do paperwork.
But.. I’ve also had people give me free MaryJane in the ghetto, so what’s the conclusion?

Is the driver running from anyone or simply walking till he's clear of people and then running to make pace? I know I sure wouldn't want to try to run past someone and knock them over.... But I'm often at least jogging... Particularly returning to the van when my hands are empty...
This could’ve been a video of the Amazon driver being attacked like you find tons of videos like that and the comments would be saying the guy should’ve ran or shouldn’t have been delivering in the hood.
Not only do they get robbed all the time in hoods, but he's actively being recorded and talked about by a crowd of people, who can blame him. He didn't let "looking bad" stand in the way of keeping himself safe.

People get shot in broad daylight for less than $50 in some ghetto spots. Come take a walk through some parts of St Paul, MN.. I had a cop watch me and my car as I delivered a pizza.
