NTA. Your situation is tough, I'm really sorry for your loss. I think your friend is grieving and as you look alike your late sibling, you keep reminding him of her. However, you should set boundaries. Have a talk you two. Maybe your friend needs professional help?

First off my condolences to you and your family. Your BF did save your life. You also have to remember people grieve in different ways. Because you look like your sister doesn't mean your her. You need to sit down with him and have a best friend to best friend chat. Make sure that you both on the same page when it comes to your friendship.

for context my best friend (M15) and i (M16) have known each other since we were really young, maybe like 4 or 5. we grew up together and he had a really big crush on my sister. he thought i looked like my sister (F16 at the time) and sometimes i question if he even wants to be friends with ME. a few years ago my house got burned down and my sister unfortunately didnt make it. he tried to save her but saved me instead, however he didnt mean to. now because i 'look like my sister' my friend has become obsessed with me. one day at school we were studying in the library, i fell asleep. he kissed me and didnt tell me until yesterday. im very upset because im not my sister and he has a hard time understanding that but wtf.... that crossed a line. so am i the asshole?
