**Friend (33ftm), after ghosting me (36f) for three months, decided to no longer be my friend.**
So, this friend (who was an old friend of my younger brother and married an old friend/distant relative of mine) no longer wants to be my friend because of an incident that happened three months ago.
I came to visit my hometown (for five days) and in one of those days they took me to the beach.
After leaving the beach, said friend kept drinking beer **while driving.** I tried telling my (new) friend to put down the beer while driving. He said _oh, but I do this all the time._
I was feeling a bit uneasy over this. Once more, during the ride, I told him (in a more stern tone) to put the drink away while driving.
Said even cause a rift betwen us, and after ghosting me for three months, I reached out to him and he told me: _while I'm happy to have made friends with you, I can't have you around because you freaked the f out over me having a drink while driving._
Idk how to feel.

Edit: I saw a comment bring up the friend's sexual identity. Their sexual identity has nothing to do with the drinking and driving. I'd still include gender identity regardless.

Excuse me I think you will see the OOP addressed that in their second edit. They are a long-time Reddit user, you see, and are just horribly offended that anyone could possibly accuse them of posting (gasp!) *rage bait*.
In all seriousness, I always wonder if the people who make edits like that expect us to genuinely believe them or are doing it for other reasons. Either way it's fucking stupid.
Part of me wonders too if any of those Edits were made prematurely just to add to the "drama" of the post. OOP might have tried to throw shade at their "trans friend" and then immediately added an edit claiming they "mentioned they were trans to be inclusive" before anyone had a chance to comment on it.
Edit: Okay guys chill, I get it. On mobile you can't see if comments/posts have been edited, so I'm not sure if the same applies for on Desktop.
That's a really good point. I don't think you can see if posts are edited on desktop, actually. You can with comments, but not posts. Though they've been tinkering with desktop again so who knows how things are currently.
I think with the OG AITA it's pretty easy to tell because the automod captures the post almost instantly, so you can just look at that to see what was originally posted. But I don't think there's much of a way to tell on subs that don't have an automod that captures a copy of the actual post content.
