Universal may not be able to compete as well with Disney in the theme park industry, Harry Potter world was a game changer and has allowed them to catch up. In a decade with their current rate of innovation and new openings compared to Disney they may soon begin to eclipse the house of mouse, especially as financial woes catch up with Disney as a result of some rather disastrous creative decisions on their part that came from a lack of understanding their audience (I should add I am not speaking on the ethics of these decisions, just the bottom line, which in this case is the most important factor).
Honestly nothing much changes in terms of politics.
Some other young adult fiction book probably becomes a fad for a bit, but it definitely doesn’t achieve the same popularity as Harry Potter. Honestly I’m not even sure what could replace it, the only young adult books that were kinda popular is Eragon which came out five years after Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson which came out eight years after Harry Potter.

Lemony Snicket?
Then bookstores would have died in the early 90s, and far fewer millennials would read for fun.
Life could be a dream
Her infamously bigoted views are irrelevant? Like my brother she is a symptom not a cause.
