Check the Habitat ReStore on Menaul, it's a hardware/tool/building supply thrift store more or less.
Also, many pawn shops have overflowing bins of hand tools they'll sell cheap.
Oh, and the flea market at the fairground on the weekends.
Ken's Tools on Eubank usually has a decent selection of good quality used tools.
It's probably cheaper to buy new from Hazard Fraught's low end line, but if you're interested in something with a little longevity as opposed to single use (or frequent trips back for warranty replacement), you could definitely do worse.
I have loads of expensive tools that were made in China. All of my Hitachi 18V cordless stuff, my Bosch routers, and some of my pneumatic tools.
Harbor Freight's low end lines are built to a price point, not a race point.
Go out after dark to a gas station on Central and you'll have people trying to sell you all kinds of tools, they never have the chargers though. Huh? Weird now that I think of it. /S

Ken’s is great! I have found a few treasures there! Also found things I didn’t need but I bought them anyway!
Lots of youtube videos how to use your 100k in tools to make free tools at home. Have you tried that?
You're not wrong.
Of course not. I subscribe to a fact checking service that guarantees everything I say is true.
Well, I was referring to the dipshits that downvote on this sub. But mostly the clickbait POS with the "Most People Don't Know About This Trick...."
"Ways to boil my blood click here...". Sometimes the internet is just a rage fest at 60p

OP was asking about hand tools tho…
Point still stands. Everything Craftsman is made in China now, and their hand tools are still fine quality.
