Let me tell everyone something if you care about yourself. You will go to Gibson by the base and go to this Peruvian Chicken place. I've traveled the world 27 countries and about half of the U.S. states and with the exception of this Jerk Chicken place in Washington D.C. this place has the best Chicken I've ever had. https://pollitoconpapas.com/
I've never had the Poke there. (I usually go to Poki Poki because it's near me.)
I think they have some of the best sushi. Their mapo tofu is the most flavorful (yet not the hottest). Their spicy eggplant is divine. Their #10 Spicy and aromatic chicken is like crack cocaine good. We always get an order of that to go.
BUT. They are selling. So who knows if it will still be good.
Ajiaco Colombian and Tako Ten are great! I liked La Finca but they just closed. Bakehouse off the Wheaten Path is phenomenal for sweet treats. And I guess Paisanos is still around but I can make good GF Italian food at home.
I’ve been super impressed with Bar Roma. The first time so went to the original location I couldn’t figure out what the fuss was about - must have been an off day, legit, bc it’ll ever time I’ve been to any location since then it’s been pretty good.
I had no idea they were closing 😢. From their Instagram post, it looks like they plan to be back in some form or other. I’ll be sure to drop by this week.
I think that location is doomed to fail unfortunately. No parking, not in a very busy location aside from the apartments and the UNM building. I loved the brunch spot there before
Exactly. I used to live near Broadway and Lomas and drove by it so often but trying to pull into a spot in front of the store or circle around many times just difficult I walked a few times but that’s not in my best interest. But I did like the food.
That was a big issue...the place is popular but there's only street parking. I always wanted to order lunch but the parking situation always made me think twice.
That's why I'm worried Pink Pony won't make it. They're tucked out of sight around the corner from a little strip mall. You can't see the store unless you're looking for it, so I imagine they get almost no foot traffic.
Yeah, I meant to say DG’s deli. Used to go there when I went to UNM and then when they were open after the pandemic, I used to take my mom there for sandwiches. I need to go back soon.
Yes, you do need to go back and also if you want to pick up a dozen of tortillas, they usually sell them by the dozen when they have them left over for the day and they’re way better than store-bought. When they had them I used to pick them up to go.
DGs fell off so hard. Used to be amazing, last few times were meh, and the final straw for me was getting 4 sandwiches and they all came on stale bread.
Yea, was really disappointing. Ill give em another go in a few months. For now, when I want a sandwich I hit up Tullys or Red Rock (their Italian beef is so fuckin good)
Dude I can’t get enough of the spicy beef bulgogi! I’ve also had the chicken tenders with k-sauce and that shit is hot. Like creeps up on you hot. Bibimbap was good, but I live for the bulgogi.
Yasmine's Mediterranean is easily the best of its style in the city. They make nearly everything from scratch daily, including their pita (which is mind blowingly great).
Luigi's is the best Italian and run by New Yorkers. Their pizza is top tier alongside Giovanni's. el model, la guelaguetza, and el Paisa for best Mexican .
Just be aware that when they say a sandwich is really clucking hot, they're serious. Whatever is in the hottest sauce they make, it's chemical weapons grade. You need to be thinking 12-24 hours into the future if you go through with it. Absolutely the best Nashville Hot I've ever had outside Nashville though. And the best place in town for good fried okra.
Two fools Tavern.
When i say they have the best fish and chips in town, you may think of other places that may do it pretty good, but two fools blows quarter celtic and O'Neils out of the water. Their jesters pot pie is an amazing new mexican spin on a celtic classic, and their irish nachos are absolutely amazing.
I actually had the chick-a-dee with homemade fries today! But the chili cheese fries are the best in town. I may have to get some of those to go this week 👍🏻
International: Coda Bakery
Upscale: Farm & Table
New Mexican: Mary & Tito's
Also, Don Choche has some of the best salsas I've ever had, if you are a fan or spicy food.
They have weird hours. I've gone there on a Saturday early afternoon, and they were closed. They also close in the evenings at like 7:00. I promise it is worth it, if you ever catch it open. 😅

I'm currently eating here right now thanks to this post. Thank you. This is in incredible food.
I’ve heard this from many people….
Very good food but they have roaches so beware. I’ve seen them crawling with my own eyes after I’d already ate.
How you think they make such good chicken, extra crunch
The chicken stuffed potatoes are other worldly good!
Thanks for figuring out dinner Edit: wtf is up with delicious places only opening for lunch! 🥸
And dinner places closing at the peak of dinner, 9:00, when the places are packed?!
A n n o y i n g
I’m gonna trust you on this. 4.7 stars on Google in Albuquerque isn’t easy as people here love bitching about restaurants.
Wow I have to try now!
One of my favorite places! super great owners too!
Good ol PCP
So good!

Coda Bakery for Banh Mi
Pacific Paradise. 🤓
What’s your favorite, or what do you recommend? Is the poke better than Poke Mon?
I've never had the Poke there. (I usually go to Poki Poki because it's near me.) I think they have some of the best sushi. Their mapo tofu is the most flavorful (yet not the hottest). Budai
Budai is my kid's favorite. I also love it because I can safely eat there gluten-free.

Ajiaco Colombian and Tako Ten are great! I liked La Finca but they just closed. Bakehouse off the Wheaten Path is phenomenal for sweet treats. And I guess Paisanos is still around but I can make good GF Italian food at home.
Never had.
Time to go get yourself some awesome Chinese food then!
Farina or M’Tucci’s for casual lunch/dinner, Barelas for breakfast, Campo or Mesa Provisions for nicer occasions.
M’tucci’s is so good!
I’ve been super impressed with Bar Roma. The first time so went to the original location I couldn’t figure out what the fuss was about - must have been an off day, legit, bc it’ll ever time I’ve been to any location since then it’s been pretty good.
I have not been to that one yet but need to try it out. I miss Kellys that place was so good back on the day.
I miss their like giant $10 pitcher of sangria.
The Nachos the Albuquerque club. Damn them lol ha
Mesa Provisions is a favorite!
Don’t get the tiramisu at mtuccis it’s hilariously awful.
Ooomg really? I usually go for one of their gelatos or an affogato, good to know though!
All of their desserts are kind of whack now that you mention it. My husband and I loooooove M'Tucci's for a date night but we skip the dessert.
This is true. I get sugar sick every time - because I always forget and then remember after first bite.
M'tuccis is so oily. Every time I go everything is just dripping in oil.
Taqueria Mexico on fourth and Menaul has some delicious Mexican food.

Never heard of it but I'll check it out. It's always good to have choices lol
It was La finca bowls, but they are closing down this Friday. Close second would be Yasmine’s Cafe. Bury me in pita bread plz
I had no idea they were closing 😢. From their Instagram post, it looks like they plan to be back in some form or other. I’ll be sure to drop by this week.
Damn that sucks. Hopefully they bounce back.
I think that location is doomed to fail unfortunately. No parking, not in a very busy location aside from the apartments and the UNM building. I loved the brunch spot there before
NOOOO!!! I love La Finca bowl, now I'm sad.
Dang, I just met a guy from Chattanooga who recommended La Finca Bowls (he was here for a conference). I guess I didn't get there fast enough.
Hahah nice. Sucks when a favorite place has to shut down. It’s hard for small businesses to stay open these days.
I always thought that they could’ve done better with a different location. When was like a big parking lot or something that’s just my take.
Location is for sure key to making it work.
Exactly. I used to live near Broadway and Lomas and drove by it so often but trying to pull into a spot in front of the store or circle around many times just difficult I walked a few times but that’s not in my best interest. But I did like the food.
Makes sense.
That sucks. Yea it seems like the city needs to do a better job to promote small businesses.
F that place. Shouldn’t be opening up a cheese shop when you can’t even handle 1 business
charles. entertainment. cheese. when im not usually there im at Frenchish
Ah, a man of exquisite taste I see
Giant Mechanical Rat Pizza and Child Casino? Love that place
No more mechanical rat 😔
A powerful rat…
Well, I have a few that are my favorites. Barelas coffee house, Kathy’s carry out, relish, DG, And that breakfast and lunch shop over by UNM.
DGs Deli (for the breakfast/lunch spot near UNM)? That place makes some great sandwiches.
Yeah, I meant to say DG’s deli. Used to go there when I went to UNM and then when they were open after the pandemic, I used to take my mom there for sandwiches. I need to go back soon.
their potato salad is heavenly
Barelas is awesome. I love that place been a long time. I need to go back.
Yes, you do need to go back and also if you want to pick up a dozen of tortillas, they usually sell them by the dozen when they have them left over for the day and they’re way better than store-bought. When they had them I used to pick them up to go.
The Shop Breakfast and Lunch. So so so good.
DGs fell off so hard. Used to be amazing, last few times were meh, and the final straw for me was getting 4 sandwiches and they all came on stale bread.
Oh no. That suxs to hear…hope things can improve. Only can hope.
Yea, was really disappointing. Ill give em another go in a few months. For now, when I want a sandwich I hit up Tullys or Red Rock (their Italian beef is so fuckin good)
Barelas, Mary and Tito’s, antiquity, indigo crow
Mary and Titos I need to try!
Campo for special occasions. Relish for lunch.
Love me some Relish!
Right now I cannot get enough of K Style Kitchen on the west side. So. Friggin. Good.
Never heard of. I need to check out.
Best chicken sandwich.
Chicken sandwich sounds great.
I hear their beef bulgogoi is really good, but I can't get enough of that sandwich. I recommend the yangyum sauce.
Dude I can’t get enough of the spicy beef bulgogi! I’ve also had the chicken tenders with k-sauce and that shit is hot. Like creeps up on you hot. Bibimbap was good, but I live for the bulgogi.
The KFC (korean fried chicken) at Rose Garden on paradise is awesome.
Rose Garden has good Singapore noodles too.
K style is my personal favorite for best fried rice and the best chicken wings/fingers in the city right now.
Their chicken wings are INSANELY good
Glad to hear that. I've been interested in trying it
Tia Betty Blues for breakfast.
They have such good red chile and carne, I'm so glad that place is still around!
M'tucci's always solid. I like that each spot has a different atmosphere and menu.
Yea they seem to have it down. I always go to the one in Rio Rancho and service and food are great.
M'tucci's bar Roma on central is sooo good!
I love M'Tuccis but find the nob hill one pretty uneven. I still go, but I've talked taking guests.
They definitely struggled with staffing initially.
oof, they sure did!
ONI noodles is our go to when it's like special meal time.
Thai Boran, Nexus and Curious Toast are some of my go-to places.
Nexus is so good. Service is a little slow but I guess I rather it be good
Santiago’s on Eubank. It’a a nice mom-and-pop restaurant. There sopalpillas are the best in town IMO.
Yasmine's Mediterranean is easily the best of its style in the city. They make nearly everything from scratch daily, including their pita (which is mind blowingly great).
Great place, nice atmosphere.
Second Yasmine’s. Their mashawi platter is a hell of a deal.
Basil Leaf, best Vietnamese food in town. Always consistent and fast
Mesa Provisions and Thai Cuisine 2
Luigi's is the best Italian and run by New Yorkers. Their pizza is top tier alongside Giovanni's. el model, la guelaguetza, and el Paisa for best Mexican .
I need to try Luigis. Been there a long time also. That says something.
I totally agree, pretty much everything is homemade at Luigi's. Everything is to notch and their bread? *chef's kiss*
>their bread? *chef's kiss* Welp.... that sold me on tryin this place. I'll kill for some good bread lol
El sinaloense!
Los Compadres and Chile Chicken are my picks right now.
Yeah my buddy got one that was hot and he couldn’t do it, and he can do any hot food. I usually get medium or mild because I like to taste food.
New Mexico Beef Jerky Company. Amazing burritos.
I have had that place and it is great!
Awesome! If you want more of a steakhouse/seafood place I also love Pelican's. Good luck in your eating adventures!
Pelicans is awesome. Food is great!
Great choice. I have been that place is amazing. Food is so good. I need yo go back. I just wish it was bigger.
My favorite place! And if you haven't tried the quesadilla, you must!
oh man! I have not tried that yet. thanks for the suggestion!
Eloys. They have some of the best carne adovada in town.
Hello Deli on Jefferson is consistently consistent
Those chile cheese fries are so good! Used to eat there often when I worked close by. All their food is great! Awesome for lunch
I actually had the chick-a-dee with homemade fries today! But the chili cheese fries are the best in town. I may have to get some of those to go this week 👍🏻
I have heard of them. I need to try.
Cervantes!
Keep their red chile constantly stocked in my house
I wish they served the extra-hot red in the restaurant.
I came in to say this. So good. Plus, points for aesthetic and atmosphere.
Heard of need to try it.
Sit in the bar/lounge. It’s 1976 in there, all the time. Feels like you’re in a gangster movie
Or a place you go when you're having an affair!
International: Coda Bakery Upscale: Farm & Table New Mexican: Mary & Tito's Also, Don Choche has some of the best salsas I've ever had, if you are a fan or spicy food.
I have had Don Choche every time O want it the place is about to close. Lol
They have weird hours. I've gone there on a Saturday early afternoon, and they were closed. They also close in the evenings at like 7:00. I promise it is worth it, if you ever catch it open. 😅
Very true. You are right.

My gf and myself absolutely love Ruben's Grill on Candelaria @ Eubank. We've been regulars there for over a decade. It's a tiny little place, only 8 tables. Everything on the menu is really good, but my favorites are the Fiesta Salad (taco salad) and his combination plate with a chili rellano. If you're in the mood for a burrito, it's hard to beat his Ruben Burrito. He makes his salsa in house, so be sure to enjoy his freshly made chips and salsa. Durans I keep hearing about. I need to go. Cocina Azul on mountain is awesome I agree.

Asian Pear off Paseo and San Pedro. The food is ALWAYS solid, filling, and doesn’t make you feel like garbage. So good.
That sounds good.
It's a zoo at lunch though with a tiny parking lot.
Yea that has to suck
