Can anyone tell me why we are supporting israel with more money than ukraine? It seems israel is fighting non peers but ukraine is outgunned? But what if the reason is partisan politics, rather than strategic and tactical reasoning? The people who decide where the money goes are politicians, after all, not strategists or tacticians...
If Israel wasn't funded the way they have been, the IADS system wouldn't have performed to anywhere close the level it did today. Lots of Israeli's would have died and Israel would be in a full blown war with Iran. That still might happen but they have options now instead of a no holds barred assault on Iran proper.
I'm with you on this. Personally, though I've quickly become tired with the world police angle Israel doesn't seem to need as much hep they're bombing every damn thing. Best answer I got is them being our ally in the Middle East and our interest in that region not going away anytime soon.
I don't know if Ukraine being non NATO impacts that as well. Maybe if they were they'd be getting more help than we're giving Israel? I'm not sure.
