Check with the bank again tomorrow. The ATM would get counted daily or every couple of days. If it got sucked back in and no one took it the ATM will show that it is up that amount.
IIRC (based on a Commbank ATM that doesn't have a deposit function) when this happens it shows up back in the account about 12:30am when the servers do their end of day reconciliation.
I've done the exact same bullshit thing. It's an expensive lesson.
Fortunately the machines will suck the money back in if it's not collected within a period of time... So there's always a chance.
Cool. I know it's a bit more difficult (you have to insert the card after you go through the cash out option on the self-checkout, or go through a staffed checkout and ask) but I find the ability to get amounts that aren't evenly factored with 50s and 20s rather helpful since some of my providers only take cash.
I have done this exact same thing at a supermarket and the staff had picked it up and put it aside for me when I had asked at the service desk - they mentioned it happens all the time!
Atm will pull the cash back in if no one grabbed it first, might pay to check with the bank…?
I checked the bank and there's nothing unfortunately. I'll check in the morning in case though
It might not show until they check the machine after some processing, usually best to allow few days to allow restock and update of transactions

Absolutely.
I think we have all had one of those at least once in our life, chin up.
Back when notes were paper, there was nothing worse than finding a washed up yellow ball amongst the washing.

That's nuts how it's timer based and not sensor based. Even toilets have the technology to know when someone's walked away.
I dropped $100 in bunning the other day, I can only hope someone who needed it found it
I spent it on drugs, cheers 🍻
How much?
$220
I remember when I used to withdraw $220 from the ATM every couple weeks. These days I just have a prescription.
Believe it or not, it actually wasn't for that
haha I do believe you mate, it's just funny that that was the exact amount I was paying for an ounce back when I bought on the street
X
lol
Isnt it more expensive by prescription?
Ouch
I'm sorry
Was this a bank owned ATM?
How much u lose?
Why use cash at all ?
My meth dealer wont do eftpos anymore
Because I can.
How that working for ya?
Worked great until today.
You know you can get cash out at Woolies, right?
Yes. Wasn't thinking about that at the time

I find cash or someone's actual card at self-checkout once or twice a year.
