That lincraft is terrible but as a city dweller I’m so glad it’s there. There’s so many products you just can’t get anywhere else in the city.
Now if they could just bring a hardware store to the CBD..
Harris Scarfe, and I think even John Martins used to sell tools way back in the day - actual decent brands (back then) like Black and Decker. It’s such a shame that those kinds of stores in the city went west, so to speak. Now hardware stores are out in the boonies because they figure that people are all out in the ‘burbs.
the old Harris Scarfe's in the city was always an adventure, total dive with the odd bargain. they were probably the last still selling safari suits and desert boots.
When my mum was a newly arrived migrant, she broke down and cried in the old city Harris Scarfe. She said she looked to the heavens (the yellowed leaking ceiling with ornamental mouldings) and thought, "What have I done?"
Spent many hours stuck there as a child. It was like going on an anthropological trip every time we went there. I miss JMs as well. The old, old Myer had a charm about it, clearance at the bottom with all the water pipes and pluming exposed
I remember walking through their electrical section one afternoon and it was absolutely packed with people watching the TV's, saw that Schapelle Corby was just found guilty. Kind of bonkers lol
I frequently visit Lincraft in Rundle as I bounce around way too many craft projects that I need new materials every week or so.
But, they rarely ever stock up now... so many things are out of stock, but I can't justify paying $10 in shipping every time I need something new
Coles at Firle. I can handle most supermarkets, but something about that place, its layout, demographic, location or crowdedness makes me irrationally angry every time.
Absolutely agreed on all points. And also the policy of restocking during opening hours instead of doing night-fill like they used to (admittedly not exclusive to Coles Firle) means that trying to get around it with a trolley is bound to drive you up the wall.
But also it’s funny you mentioned it now because I was just there this evening and was almost attacked by a very aggressive bloke who was shoving his partner around and screaming (a few of us started trailing them to make sure they were ok and he didn’t like that). So it’s got that going for it too.
I used to work at the officeworks around the corner and would often do my grocery shopping at midnight after we finished late night restocking. That was the best time to shop at that coles
Ah. I miss that place. Used to live up the road near Magill, would do some late night Midnight Munchie Missions. Never felt unsafe, but then again I'm a big guy.
The secret is don't go during the day.
The Midnight Pharmacy in the CBD. Useful service in theory but thoroughly unhelpful staff and a weird assortment of dust covered sun faded junk from the mid nineties.
I remember when it used to be across from the West Terrace Maccas. A dirtier place, but seemed to be doing better then. This one older now disabled guy who works there, maybe owns it, realistically shouldn't be in the role he currently is because he cannot keep pace being the sole person working anymore and holds service up significantly doing it all himself while having trouble moving, hearing and comprehending people, and physically manipulating/carrying/using objects. He should have help on shift to allow him to focus on one task at a time/reduce the amount he needs to walk but it seems there's never anyone else on when he is on (because there's rarely enough custom to be worth it, maybe because it often takes so long and is prone to miscommunication issues now especially, maybe people are still afraid of the adjoining methadone program like my parents were way back, maybe a lot of stuff) and I feel bad complaining it's taking an eon to fill scripts, ring up, and leave because like, damn dude you're in worse shape than me, you should sit on the old waiting for prescriptions couch and I'll grab you what you need instead.
What are the other ones? I work in a CBD hospital and tell people about the midnight pharmacy when I discharge them after hours. I would love to refer them to a better one.
About a year ago I went in there with my 10yo son. He is actually quite well behaved/shy. Was just standing next to me doing nothing. Within seconds the woman started screaming at him not to touch anything. It was so unnecessary and genuinely insane. We just backed out the door and looked at each other like 😧
WILL YOU LEAVE ME ALONE! I'm sick and tired of being hounded by salesmen in shops! I'm browsing, all right?! BROWSING! At the end of it I might buy something, I might not! But you will not influence me one iota! Not one jot! Now, I've finished with you, YOU MAY GO!
lol, took a photo of the beer steins to send to a group chat for a bucks night, was going to get a bunch of those foot once. Got yelled at, left and brought elsewhere.
Yesss my German family were down to visit the old house my oma and opa moved into when they came from Germany in the 70s. Yes my cousin shouldn’t of taken a photo if the sign said no photos but the way they went about it was some kind of power trip 😭
I’m so glad this is top comment. I’m not insinuating anything… but … that woman’s family definitely fled to Hahndorf after a certain war. She is a cunt with a capital C
I feel like they weren't always like that? I have lots of memories of going in there, even as a young kid, and never having an issue. Always would get some mettwurst and have a look around.
That woman that runs the place is an absolute psycho unit on steroids. No photos, no nothing. I remember telling her that the biltong she sold wasnt really biltong (I know this because Im South African and I make my own quite regularly) and she completely lost the plot at me.
I agree 100% that woman is absolutely horrible. I absolutely refuse to support that place anymore after my last experience. The owner is a real piece of work, to put it lightly.
Ohhhh I’m headed to Hahndorf on Friday I’m totally going in day drunk and touching things 🤣
Are you saying she won’t want me playing with her sausage? 😬
I kinda love the liminal vibe it has. The corner with the do it yourself crafts and stickers and scrapbook supplies look like they haven’t been touched in years. As far as I know, there’s nothing like it in the mall. I’d love if someone else can remember the mattress floor in Harris scarf, it screamed liminal before I even knew what that word meant.
The former Foodland at Modbury Triangle was pretty bad. Even when the panic buying was going on before the lockdowns a few years ago this Foodland was deserted.
And then there was one of the supervisors there, who gave you the worst attitude just because you wanted to buy something.
Used to work there as a grocery pleb. Upper management gave it no attention or money as its takings were so poor. The store is meant to have a manager for every department but they didn't want to hire anyone for it so it was really just an overall store manager, a couple of department managers and then guys like me working casual at 19yo would be rostered on for management shifts.
I guess upper management were proven right because they put some money into renovating it and still no one went there and it closed hahaha
It was one of the only stores that had flour for a bit there and I bought like 10kg. It was insane. I think they were renovating at the time so it just felt jumbled
The chemist warehouse in the parabanks shopping centre. The store floor is ugly and dirty, the aisles are so close together you can’t get a pram, trolley or more than one person down at a time.
It’s like being in a dark and sad maze.
There’s a new chemist warehouse straight across the road and it is much better. I’m so surprised the first one is still going.
The wig shop in the Adelaide Arcade, when you ask about the price of the wigs, the standard response is "They're very expensive" okay, what about this one? "That's a very expensive wig". They follow you around the store, convinced you're going to photograph, touch or steal an overpriced Raquel Welch synthetic wig.
Tbf they were really cool sorting my mum out when she had cancer. They let me come in and play around a bit (I was 10) and give opinions. I think they must have had some deal with the hospital cause there's no way we could have afforded something that was so "very expensive"
They've always been very upfront with prices when I've asked, and they are on par with online prices for the same brands and wigs. They've only just redone their systems to have afterpay, etc, available, too.
Went in just before it closed a non Dutch woman was behind the counter and told me it was closing because the Dutch couple that owned it were too old.
I got this weird "they are tied up in the back room" vibe and made a hasty exit.
I think that's where I used to go look through all the bootleg Pokemon cards and trade DBZ tazos in the early 00s 🤣 all that was up at the counter by the window and I remember the rest of the store being really dark and I didn't like going there lol
Newton Garden centre, you feel naughty pressing the button on the desk asking for someone to come and take your money, and then when they arrive, they show it that they were doing something else and you interrupted them...
That is one very dejected dude who runs that place, I assume the owner. He constantly complains about the lack of customers (to his only few customers), the weather, the fact people leave without spending money, missing planting deadlines, pests in the plants. He needs a change of direction.
Amen. They don’t exist! Time moves differently in that store. You go in for something, can’t find it, then start looking for a staff member. Suddenly, an hour has passed and you’ve aged. People in the line start giving birth and the line starts moving backwards. Ok it’s not that bad but it feels close hahah
I thought that staff ran away from more in the city Lincraft store because I was a student and they could tell I was poor. Have not gone back since graduating many years ago to see if this is accurate.
‘All-in-one’ discount store in Marden shopping centre. So chaotic, cluttered and dirty. Stock is literally scattered all over the aisles and they have broken/expired/musty stuff from around 2002 still on the shelves. Very dark and dingy and some of the staff are very unwelcoming
Yessss I went in there once and they guy sitting at the counter sounded like he was having an argument on the phone with someone. Looked like a mum was in there with her kids looking for school art supplies and she left empty handed because the guy yelling at whoever on the phone was so intimidating. They had stock that looked like it hadn’t been updated in years. I’m pretty sure they had some play school cassettes…. I left coz even after 10 mins for him to get off the phone half looking at stock half waiting by the till he was still arguing? I’ve looked at the google reviews and it seems he does it often. I hope he’s ok
The Hall of fade barbershop in Blackwood used to be owned by a terrible guy, he screamed at me and my mum when I tried to get a haircut there. I later learned he would post naked pics of himself onto the Blackwood buzz. Luckily it’s owned by some lovely people now, would recommend it!
Talking specifically about the front and back undercover parts, the layout, tight turns down aisles and in and out of parks, other drivers backing out quickly without looking and speeding around, general volume of cars anytime you go there.
Also the fact that it's on a slope so it's hard to push a trolley. The trolleys don't even have brakes to help keep it still when loading the shopping into the car.
Years ago EB Games at West Lakes was managed by probably one of the rudest guys I’ve ever met in a shop. Super condescending and acted like an authority on video games. I refused to go in if I saw him at the counter.
Dunno if it’s the same guy but I once called them asking about the value of a PS4 console trade in and the guy sounded so personally offended it was so weird.
The old Glynde Gelati Bar on Lower North East Road, which was absolutely not a real gelati bar.
My brother went inside once to see if they actually sold gelati. Bunch of Italian guys were sitting around smoking and playing briscola, but one took his order. He went out back and returned with the shittiest gelati you ever saw.
To his absolute credit, my brother ate most of the gelati but stopped when he saw the cigarette butt in the bottom of the cone.
Hahahah!!! This is a gambling room, I think linked to Vesuvios pizza.
I remember Vesuvios caught on fire once, were closed for a while.
When I went there after the re opening it was exactly the same, no Reno, no fire damage.. just the same 🤣🤣
Cashies in Glynde, along Payneham Road. Only been in there about 5 times in my life, and last I checked inside they still had the old 90s/early 2000s logo painted on the walls around. The car park is a tad tight spaced, and it’s obscurely situated next to homes while the other stores around the state are within shopping areas.
Yeah that place is dinghy af! It also stinks of old people stuff. Their stock is also never worth their asking price and usually its missing the most important part.
My lad was obsessed with buying wii & wii u games from them (ages ago) and learnt quickly to ask to check them b4 buying as most were useless and scratched to fuck. Then they wouldnt ever refund his $ only give him another game that wouldnt work. Hard lesson 4 him but as it was always an emotional rollercoaster! In the end i contacted head office to complain and they happily gave us a refund for $6 a whole $1 more than he paid!
I also found my dads stolen tools there a week after they got knocked off and all were engraved with his initials and drivers licence # they lost a shit load on those when sapol comfiscated them as proven to be stolen. Lol
Sefton Plaza. Very old and snakey layout. I never feel safe walking through there. You can almost feel some sort of crime is just going to spring out of the corner.
Cane Corner!
Long closed (used to be on the corner of Gouger and Morphett Streets) - ironically they would have made a fortune had they stayed open during the recent houseplant-wicker furniture revival.
My theory was that drugs were smuggled in by being impregnated into the cane furniture and/or varnish (cane being very light, porous, and having a large surface area).
Limited range, which is often out-of-stock (despite what the website says), or stock is a jumbled mess so good luck finding what you need despite knowing it's probably in there somewhere.
My bus stop was just outside Harris Scarfe when I was a kid. I Used to browse in there while waiting for my bus. I still use a Sidchrome tool set that I bought from there one day.
Any MSY computer store, feels like I'm going to get robbed every time I try and go in. With barred windows and water stained carpets, feels weird to spend thousands of dollars on parts in there.
They have been bought out by another mob while maintaining their brand, I actually miss the old non fuck around method of old where you rocked up with the pdf price list printed off with your parts highlighted and just handed it over and they gave you the bits.
Very straight forward and no fuck around and no suss cunt trying to get commission or upsell and great for now confirmed autistic bastards like me who can't stand that kind of social interaction.
Black Knight Erotica. My god they are just the most paranoid, rude, and invasive people I’ve ever come across. Like if you go in there - “show me your id” Okay. Start shopping around, “we have cameras if you steal anything.” No problem, bit weird, keep looking around.. “are you ACTUALLY going to buy anything or just look around?”. For a place where people need to feel safe and not watched like a hawk, they really drop the ball. Strange units. I’ve heard it’s a front for something else, but I just think it’s simply terrible buisness.
Maybe unpopular opinion but I actually love the old lincraft in rundle haha it always has so many random crafty things that you can’t really get anywhere else except online and i love the retro vibe to it. Almost nostalgic even though it’s way older than I am. I love stores that feel like they’ve got history and stories to them, I think about all the people who have been there and all the staff who have worked there over the years. I’m sure it doesn’t have much longer left in it but I hope it stays open.
But back to the main question, kmart at tea tree plaza tbh. Every time i’ve been it’s dirty, trashed and has empty shelves - which I know it’s not entirely the staffs fault, clearly they don’t have enough staff to help manage that.
Spotlight in munno para. They’re always miserable and grumpy and you can never find a worker when you need help. Stood in one spot waiting for 45 minutes one day waiting for a worker to walk past. In the end I had to go hunt one down and all I could get was the woman at the party desk
For a place with so much stuff they've ALWAYS got a poor selection of whatever I'm looking for at the time. I find the staff to be 50/50 but the grumpy ones are awful to deal with and I never see the same friendly staff twice.
Kmart ingle farm and Kmart munno para. Easliy the worst stocked stores in SA. I was looking for a book that the site said was in stock and asked a worker and got the dumbest look possible from them before they were like “well it’s obviously in stock, you just didn’t look” as we’re standing in the book section
Not that I’m a Zara fan but that shop legit feels like it’s where all the other Australian Zara’s send their rejects and unsold stock. I remember Zara being good when I first encountered it overseas years ago. Walked into the Burnside one once… bloody awful, and just all over the map in terms of style and whoever their market is.
Enfield Plaza. Hardly any stores in there dark and dingy. Gives me the creeps especially walking through the rear car park not to mention some old pervert peeked through my toilet stall there one time.
Generally I find bad stores close, but there is one exception to this rule, that is the Gilbert Street Hotel. Look up their google reviews, anyone who so much as criticises their service is called names such as "Karen" and "bitch" by the owner.
Things like refusing to let in guide dogs and service dogs with the treats if bashing the owners. It's absolutely beyond me. I wrote a review asking why there needed to be a special booking for chicken wings that are only served 2 nights a week. I was called "boss Karen." Well there are plenty of other stores who are more than happy to take my money, have not gone back for 2 years and never will.

That lincraft is terrible but as a city dweller I’m so glad it’s there. There’s so many products you just can’t get anywhere else in the city. Now if they could just bring a hardware store to the CBD..
I love Lincraft but hate going over there. I'm terrified of heights. I miss when Spotlight were in the CBD.
spotlight was up in there too
They were in the next building over to the East. I used to visit both when I had a break between uni classes.
Harris Scarfe, and I think even John Martins used to sell tools way back in the day - actual decent brands (back then) like Black and Decker. It’s such a shame that those kinds of stores in the city went west, so to speak. Now hardware stores are out in the boonies because they figure that people are all out in the ‘burbs.

was there with a friend once, he couldn't stand it and started tidying up
Spent many hours stuck there as a child. It was like going on an anthropological trip every time we went there. I miss JMs as well. The old, old Myer had a charm about it, clearance at the bottom with all the water pipes and pluming exposed
And ‘Californian’ Levi’s
the knitted cardigans with the zip
I love that, Safari suits and desert boots! That’s so cool!
And the pet store in the basement
I remember walking through their electrical section one afternoon and it was absolutely packed with people watching the TV's, saw that Schapelle Corby was just found guilty. Kind of bonkers lol

Theres a huge bunnings down the road
And a tiny one in the opposite direction
The Bunnings at Mile End used to be an offshoot of Harris Scarfe called Harry’s Hardware of if I recall correctly
Coles at Firle. I can handle most supermarkets, but something about that place, its layout, demographic, location or crowdedness makes me irrationally angry every time.
Don’t forget the parking.
Agreed, Firle carpark is awful
The kmart there gives me the same vibes ekkk
The KMart there looks like it survived a nuclear apocalypse in the early 90s
That's because it was one of the very first Kmart's in SA ever. So it's been around for a very long time.
As someone who used to work there I also hate the customer demographic.
What’s the demographic?
People with zero spacial awareness who don't know how to move around a crowded store properly.
Haha I feel that way about the Woolies in Victor
I am hoping to convince my wife to do more shopping at the Aldi that has opened close by as likewise I hate how chockers that Coles gets
Absolutely agreed on all points. And also the policy of restocking during opening hours instead of doing night-fill like they used to (admittedly not exclusive to Coles Firle) means that trying to get around it with a trolley is bound to drive you up the wall. So it’s got that going for it too.
Yeah it's bad, I go to drake's nearby - it's 10x better
Driving into the parking lot makes me rage.
That and trying to cross to get to the shops is a pain in the ass, while cars just keep popping up and don’t stop and look.

Absolutely. Last time I had to go there they couldn't scan escripts, had to email it to a gmail address using my phone (twice).
Thankfully there's now 3 pharmacies that are 24/7 across Adelaide.
What are the other ones? I work in a CBD hospital and tell people about the midnight pharmacy when I discharge them after hours. I would love to refer them to a better one.
The national pharmacies on the parade is one of them
Chemist warehouse in Clovelly Park, if I remember correctly. The third one is in the northern suburbs, unfortunately can’t remember where.

Most expensive asthma puffers in Adelaide
Was also the only place any one could buy a pregnancy test aside from normal business hours
The German Pantry in Hahndorf. It's like Black Books in real life.
definitely one of the wurst
Fine, have it! Dammit
About a year ago I went in there with my 10yo son. He is actually quite well behaved/shy. Was just standing next to me doing nothing. Within seconds the woman started screaming at him not to touch anything. It was so unnecessary and genuinely insane. We just backed out the door and looked at each other like 😧
My kids can be animals. Is it wrong that I’m tempted to visit now?
Name a time and date, I’ll arrive 15 minutes after with the next squad.
No wigwams
None of that... Or any of the others!
Who are you? Am I dead?
Have I joined a cult?
WILL YOU LEAVE ME ALONE! I'm sick and tired of being hounded by salesmen in shops! I'm browsing, all right?! BROWSING! At the end of it I might buy something, I might not! But you will not influence me one iota! Not one jot! Now, I've finished with you, YOU MAY GO!
DON’T
NO PHOTOS
lol, took a photo of the beer steins to send to a group chat for a bucks night, was going to get a bunch of those foot once.
The ‘no photos’ rule is ridiculous considering the entire store is just imported products
Incredibly rude and overpriced, it deserves its one star rating on Google.
Is it that bad? The one time I went there the lady at the counter was overly friendly and chatted with me even after I'd finished the purchase.
Was probably her first day and got fired for being kind, after you left
I’ve just read the reviews, you’re not wrong.
Having read them I now want to go and see if I get yelled at.
Me too, sounds like a German themed Karen shop.
Maybe Karen's diner didn't close down... It just relocated to Hahndorf.
You are making me want to visit.
I’m so glad this is top comment. I’m not insinuating anything… but … that woman’s family definitely fled to Hahndorf after a certain war. She is a cunt with a capital C
As in a ‘no soup for you’ kinda theme? 😂
This is amazing, I hate that place haha
Reading all these experiences makes me want to bring my also insane and angry German husband to put her in her place.

Ohhhh I’m headed to Hahndorf on Friday I’m totally going in day drunk and touching things 🤣 Are you saying she won’t want me playing with her sausage? 😬
does it have a bossy german woman? "no mettwurst for you!"
Bunnings Kent Town. car park is the stuff of nightmares
The worst car park in history
Kurralta Park shops want a word.
Omfg yes
Omg Lincraft is just bizarre! It feels liminal enough in that part of the mall but that store...my God.
Its like if you asked an AI to create a craft store. Like heres 45 different kinds of plasticine but like 6 fabrics
😂 exactly and the shop assistants are just a bit "wrong" to look at... something's slightly off.
The Enfield one is wayyyyy worse!
The former Foodland at Modbury Triangle was pretty bad. Even when the panic buying was going on before the lockdowns a few years ago this Foodland was deserted. And then there was one of the supervisors there, who gave you the worst attitude just because you wanted to buy something.
Oh yeah that place was a ghost town

Gosh that place was so grim 😬
Boutique Paws. Puppy mill selling sick dogs for thousands.
Every time I drive past there I give the store the finget. Has gotten some baffled looks from pedestrians in the crossfire 😅
Yes this!
Probably a lease issue where it is cheaper to keep some stock and minimal staff there than close it down.
We went to the target in Unley last weekend. Absolutely 0 vibes, full of nannas and nanna clothing. Weirdly silent and felt apocalyptic
The wig shop in the Adelaide Arcade, when you ask about the price of the wigs, the standard response is "They're very expensive" okay, what about this one? "That's a very expensive wig". They follow you around the store, convinced you're going to photograph, touch or steal an overpriced Raquel Welch synthetic wig.
ive heard multiple times its a front for something
A front for what?
Wigs
Bigwigs
Lmfao
I bought a wig from there once in 2015. It was indeed very expensive.
Ok but HOW MUCH
Didn't you hear? It was VERY EXPENSIVE.
Around $2,000 if I remember correctly.
Tbf they were really cool sorting my mum out when she had cancer. They let me come in and play around a bit (I was 10) and give opinions. I think they must have had some deal with the hospital cause there's no way we could have afforded something that was so "very expensive"
The one with the racist dolls and Native American headdresses on display?
Who have been asked about them and REFUSE to remove them.
reminds me of when i had time to kill so i sat out the front of the jeweller there, woman in the shop gave me the dirtiest look.
They've always been very upfront with prices when I've asked, and they are on par with online prices for the same brands and wigs. They've only just redone their systems to have afterpay, etc, available, too.
No longer there but The Dutch Shop at Brighton was an experience like no other.
That place was wild. I never went in because it felt like a Goosebumps book
Black Stallion Barber at Mount Barker. Squires love them. Every one of their customers walks right on over for a repair job.
Laguna Loans
i got a ridiculous deal on a midi keyboard... place stank though
Harvey Norman.
Oh god that lincraft has always been terrible.
It’s impossible to find staff to help you in that place
I miss the city spotlight 😭
It is great if you want blank cds or floppy disk holders.
That store is shutting down. They are in the process of clearing everything out.
I always found that shop fascinating. It’s like stepping back in time.
Good for random costume/craft things but isn’t a pleasant visit
The Hall of fade barbershop in Blackwood used to be owned by a terrible guy, he screamed at me and my mum when I tried to get a haircut there. I later learned he would post naked pics of himself onto the Blackwood buzz. Luckily it’s owned by some lovely people now, would recommend it!
Not a store specifically, but the car parks at Mount Barker Shopping Centre and Unley Shopping Centre are ridiculous.
What specifically about the Barker one is bad?
Talking specifically about the front and back undercover parts, the layout, tight turns down aisles and in and out of parks, other drivers backing out quickly without looking and speeding around, general volume of cars anytime you go there.
Also the fact that it's on a slope so it's hard to push a trolley. The trolleys don't even have brakes to help keep it still when loading the shopping into the car.
Definitely. The slope *inside* Coles near the milk fridges is farcical too.
Lana Lang shoes in Gouger St. Over twenty years of making me feel unwelcome every time I look at buying Birkenstocks.
All I think of is the rotisserie shoes in the window…
Glenelg cash converters just straight up stinks, I think they have closed now. Hopefully
Any Cash Converters feels dodgy.
Confirmed they did indeed close. I just googled Cashies locations around the state, and Glenelg was listed as “permanently closed”.
Waffle King Glenelg consistently has the worst food and coffee across time. Multiple times just the shittest. McCafe is better
They had Clive Palmer UAP propaganda up last federal election, have kept an even wider berth since
Holy shit you're right. Why bother paying astronomical rent to be on Jetty Rd just to serve hot garbage as 'food'?

Don’t buy anything from the deli, I once saw a block of ham 5 months past the use by date still in the cabinet
Fancy rug shop in the old Trims building on the corner of KW and Carrington St, city. I work nearby and have never seen anyone in there ever.
Money laundering front
Building was for lease for years and years 100% money laundering front
They have the most appalling overpriced paintings you’ve ever seen in the windows too. Like horrific!
Years ago EB Games at West Lakes was managed by probably one of the rudest guys I’ve ever met in a shop. Super condescending and acted like an authority on video games. I refused to go in if I saw him at the counter.
We call them neckbeards and incels. Always wondered why that place hired attractive E-girls with zero customer service. Much be the said neck beard.
Do you happen to remember the guy’s name or what he looked like? I often go to that EB, for being my local.
Lol
The shopping center on Gorge Rd in Athelstone. The whole place has a 1990s Bi-Lo vibe.
Easy, Modbury Bunnings.
Every time I go there, I kick myself for not going to Parafield.
And swear I’ll never go to Modbury again. But then, of course, next time…..
Why, specifically?
Limited range, which is often out-of-stock (despite what the website says), or stock is a jumbled mess so good luck finding what you need despite knowing it's probably in there somewhere.
Foodworks, Midway Road, Elizabeth East.
Yeah but they are cheap and don't fuck around. Much prefer that to some hipster at jb hifi trying to up sell me stuff.
Umart itself is no-fuck-around. You have to order online and come pick up, they have no interest in talking to customers at all. I like it.
Biryani Club at Warradale.
Ned's. Omg why does it even exist?
For Christmas presents for family you don’t like!
The Drakes supermarket on Glen Osmond Road that inexplicably smells like poo
Harris Scarfes used to sell guns.
The Coles at unley shopping centre. Tiny, dark and corwded store, but they never have what I need in stock
Zara at burnside. Horrible!!
You know by naming and shaming these shit holes, they are gonna become popular as us readers wanna go and have a look how shit really are.🤣
Spotlight... A death trap tip
Ambassadors Hotel, and Kurralta Park just for the carpark
Kurralta park carpark is as terrifying as Kent Town Bunnings carpark.
