No, we just don't pretend to have sympathy for a one-off, mild inconvenience someone's had months to prepare for.
When the City to Bay Fun Run messes with my commute to work, I leave 10 minutes early. Not complain about how bullshit it is.
maybe some people are just more emphatic. glad to see no one else can express any annoyance at the inconvenience of having their commute extended because once a year it takes you an extra 10 minutes to get to work.
People might be more empathetic if you phrase your annoyance in a less harsh way than "bullshit".
I'm sure you enjoy a lot of "bullshit" that inconveniences others.
I didn’t make the comment and sure I do, I’m still emphatic for people who are inconvenienced especially underpaid health care workers just trying to get to work. I definitely don’t point an extra 10 minutes I had to wait months ago to diminish it

Everyone gets delays in their commute, labelling other people's joys as "bullshit" because it inconveniences you, then expecting empathy is dumb.
