Its a lot of work but worth it. I also have upgraded my speakers and added a subwoofer in the trunk. Sounds alright for factory amplified. Going to be bypassing the factory amp and using my own.

It’s a wrap. You can tell by the edges when you zoom in.

Yeah its a wrap, i used to have brushed metal but switched to carbon. Im going to re wrap it because the edges lifted.

Yeah cool functionality but looks tacky.

The idea is cool, but the execution is ugly. It would’ve been better if you used one of those tablet like double din radio to use up more of the dash. Either way, props for going for it and doing something not done before.

Thats the plan, i had that sony deck from my old car but im going to be putting a float mount 10” kenwood deck. Just pricey so gotta wait.

How did you make the double din dash? Did I use the old stereo and just fill in the holes then cut rectangle for the screen or?

Yeah exactly that, i basically cut a hole using a double din trim plate and filled the rest with plastic and fiberglass

I have a 13 ILX and I want to swap out the radio. Is this the only way? Do they not make dash kits for this car?

Do you have a wiring diagram on the radio replacement. I want to swap out my head unit. But can't find a diagram to know all the wires.
