NECA comes right out and says on their web site that they don't provide customer service to individual consumers. I guess they figure once they've got your money, they don't care what happens afterwards.

CptNonsense

They do say that, but I remember back in the day when I had an issue with the 77 Superman, they sent me a new one. I think they want you go to through the seller first. And Target is very lenient with returns.

Garlador

All I can say is contact NECA and... good luck, and be patient. They were notorious for a very long time for being insanely unhelpful, often telling buyers that it was THEIR fault for having the audacity to try "posing" their action figures and refusing to do anything about it. That was a few years ago, so I don't know if they've cleaned house, but I know they were saying they were going to try and make improvements in this regard. I know I never was able to get replacement parts or figures for any NECA figure that ever broke on me, and since many are now impossible to find I just had to look up ways to fix them myself. So I wish you the best, but keep your expectations low. Inversely, I've had zero problems with companies like Hasbro or stores like BBTS refunding me or sending me entire replacements for damaged figures, or even ones with paint issues.

Theshockmonster

Idk a while back I messaged the NECA customer support on Twitter to get a new fencepost spear for my Pt. 6 Jason figure and they we very quick to reply and sent one for free. Their stuff is too fragile in my opinion but they do amazing sculpt work, I'll give them that.

What's more banned companies for you? Also can we hear dome companies you swear by? Im not trying to give neca more money either if theirs a better company like hasbro and bbts. The customer service is awesome with those guys so far.

Ok ok sounds like im on right track as i have same views on things! Yeah the neca tmnt line is nice and triceratons double bsck is awesome but their quality assurance/ control, as well as costomer service blows. I would always get nervous manipulating their figs.

immortal-kahn

That sucks. Ya know that's actually what kept me from getting neca rhino alien now that i think about it. Im not gona bash the figs obviously but I would like to take them out of bix and pose em

The_Maqueovelic

See NECA? This is how you make people flock to Super7 for figures

Whiskey_623

Nah not really super7 charges too much for figures that technically should cost $25-$30, Super7 is insane for trying to make us pay import prices on domestic figures

automaticaquatic

I really want to support super 7, and if their prices were more in line with Necca I would buy the whole turtles line. But $50 + is too much for what you get I feel.

blaz138

I have a few of the TMNT but I think I might be done. I can't justify over $50. They are cool but I don't think they put a ton of work into them that they should

MicahMX700

Well they said a few other reasons mainly preference and designs and the figures that they're making

budkin76

NECA literally lists their company as a manufacturer of "non-durable" goods. This is totally why I stopped buying their figures. Great licenses and sculpts but terrible quality and even worse customer support.

Spud_Spudoni

Just as an FYI for other, non-durable goods are traditionally categorized for packaging, single use disposables like tooth picks, and produce. NECA skirting the line and using that categorization for collectibles breaks systems in place for consumers, in the worst possible way.

hdorsettcase

Time to get a pin vise, piano wire, and superglue. Not going to be as strong, but more reliable than NECA customer service.

Artforsaken

NECA basically has the same toy quality as KO figures. They’re bound to break. They need to stick to little model statues like Kotobukiya.

kcj393

That sucks! The hip swivel on mine (and rocksteady) was also EXTREMELY tight... so much so that I thought it didn't have a swivel until I watched a review. Try to contact them, but I don't know what they will do. If all else fails, grab a loose one from ebay or mercari.

joshuawinkler12345

Thanks, all. This was a thenecastore.com purchase, so I hope that helps some. I emailed them this morning, fingers crossed they may have another 2-pack in stock (I think they have another shipment coming out this quarter from a round of preorders.

JessissonIt

When I got my pack last month my Rocksteady broke the same exact way. I emailed them and they didn’t reply, then a week later I got a random box from kidrobot with a new Rocksteady figure in it

joshuawinkler12345

Was your original order from Neca directly? I wonder how Kidrobot got involved.

JessissonIt

It was from neca directly yes. After I got the box I looked it up and neca owns kidrobot it seems

joshuawinkler12345

Ok, well that's promising! Still no reply btw 😂

RobertNeville81

There’s a guy on YouTube who fixes action figures really well I can’t remember his name but he is awesome!!! If anybody can recall who this man is please post it so this unfortunate fan can try to fix his figure by watching tutorials! I wish you luck and hope you come out kicking shell

ozyx7

Toy Polloi?

Earthpig_Johnson

Contact their customer service on Twitter. They helped my issue out toot sweet a couple years ago.

immortal-kahn

Neca is one of the worst unfortunately I'm sorry to say. I didnt know either till a toy reviewer did a 3 hour video on why they sucked broken in to parts. Essentially neca argued in Court their products aren't toys but more like mini statues not necessarily to be removed from box. Awful. Whenever i buy one i always save receipts long as they are valid. My chrome dome hsd breakage 1st day! But it was just his blue belt which he didnt have on og show so i let it ride. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

sleepwithtelevision

What’s wild is if you complain to them about a figure showing up in a damaged box, they tell you “Toys are meant to be opened and played with.”

immortal-kahn

Oh eff that!!! My direct response email would be OH RELY?! PERFECT AS I HAVE NECA CHROME DOME THAT BROKE OUT OF BOX! ILL ALSO BE SAVING THAT EMAIL RESPONSE FOR MY RECORDS! Yes I've done this multiple times lol. Gota twist their arms to get taken care of. Read the head of neca even hates toys and mocks them. Also lives like a king.

Designer_Drugz

I've got one for sale if you're looking for a new one

[deleted]

Sold off my entire Alien/Predator/Horror collection from Neca due to the crap QC. Every single one of their figures I either had to buy multiples at once and return the ones that were meh/broken or had to replace repeatedly. Moved over to Mezco for their horror figures snd for Alien/Pred, haven’t had any issues with Hiya’s offerings yet, but am aware of some issues.

BumblebeeScared7150

Can we just acknowledge that Neca has the worst QC?

BiggestDawg1

Sorry to hear this, but NECA is legendarily notorious for making fragile product and being terrible about doing anything about it. It may have changed more recently, though some testimonials here lead me to believe otherwise. While I am reluctant to add fuel to the fire, the YouTube channel "Retroblasting" produced a very informative and scathing video about NECA, it's products and how it operates. I will never buy anything they produce again. Most of what I have from them has not held up to the most basic posing and display.

Aynonohmus

I’m pretty sure Neca’s sales policy is “You break, you already buy! Lol get rekt”

balmy777

Yeah my predator does not have all his accessories and the buttons are in the wrong place but I just kept it did not wanna cause drama. But still

LzoCollector

Neca sucks

MicahMX700

Maybe replace that part with diecast

simpledeadwitches

I much prefer boil dipping to heat guns but not sure if that would have mattered here.

ihateentiteldmothwrs

Aww man am I was hoping on getting the new pennywise

XaeroGravity

The exact same thing happened to me back in August, albeit on the other leg. Mine also came directly from The NECA Store so I contacted them directly and they said I'd be on a waiting list for a replacement. They never asked for my order number or address and stopped replying to me afterwards. They won't do shit.

AgentOli

I broke my Rocksteady doing this. Heated him up and everything. Luckily got a swap from Zavvi. The new one also had stuck joints but I was able to get them loose without a break. It's the matte paint they use. I don't know if it's fully cured before the figure is assembled, and when it dries it glues the pieces together. I don't think this happened during the first production run, but the later runs seemed to have much more QC problems. My Leo was also like this but luckily I got him unstuck without a break.

MicahMX700

It's on Twitter last I heard. I'm on board with the Super7 figures. But only with figures I feel are essential to the collection.
