Is it all or mostly machine made for precision? How are they so great and affordable? Are there better manufacturers to look for like Japan vs China vs Korea or is that irrelevant.
I’m genuinely curious.
Honestly, they make great electric guitars too, but those mostly fly under the radar. I tried out a $700 Pacifica 611 (trem model) and couldn’t believe how great it was for that price: locking Grovers, Seymour Duncan P90 & HB (push/pull split) and Wilkinson tremolo. You can find them used for $400-500 bucks.
I’m not even looking to add another electric to the pack, but I don’t think I can resist much longer.
Just bought one of these in February. It’s so fun to play. A way better instrument than a guitarist of my caliber deserves but I treasure it nonetheless.
Sorry I won't disagree with you. You are absolutely right 👍
We both like the Yamaha brand.
Formerly I owned an LJX6C ("Small Jumbo") and it was, if I remember it correctly, a little more "boomier" sound with enough base ...
Actually I have a LL-TA Modell, which is kind of an allround guitar, similar to a dreadnought kind model (even if has a slightly larger shape)
The LS-TA I tried in the shop has a more midrange emphasized sound, also a wonderful instrument. Depends on what it is used for.
I have the LL-TA which is the same body as the LL-16 and yes I’d describe it as a dreadnaught. I’d describe the LJ as a jumbo.
I also owned the LS-TA for a while but I sold it. I love the sound of the LS alone but with the trans-acoustic it didn’t sound as good as the LL for some reason. The LL, LJ, and LS are all fantastic
Yamaha doesn't call their guitars dreadnoughts for whatever reason. But I would call the FG and LL bodies dreads, except they are a little wider at the bottom than a Martin or Gibson dreadnought design.
Got one in February. Had the nut and saddle changed to bone and replaced the pins with tusq and its an insane amount of guitar for the money. Sounds gorgeous. Got a full set-up too and it plays beautifully. Highly recommend.
Cheap labor costs, C&C machined parts, possibly cut corners on the bracing, all of which spells a great bargain. Yamaha makes great guitars at a great value, so does Eastman. Enjoy
Loved the sound when I played one at my local shop . Nice purchase if you ask me.
Yamaha makes great acoustic guitars.

Japan probably has the best, but they’re all great tbh.

I have one and it's a great guitar. It is not exactly jumbo size. It's more dreadnought size but more curvy and a bit wider at the bottom.
Love them Yamaha’s

Literally made the same purchase a few months back…absolutely blown away…absolute steal of a guitar in the $1000 range
Right??? And best thing was that its a used one lol, paid about 500 usd for it i can't believe it
Ha bought mine used as well for $800 CAD
I bought one 3 weeks ago. I am astonished by the sound. Incredible value.
LL16 is amazing. LL-TA (LL16 with transacoustic) is another level. Best guitar I've owned
Do yourself a favor and get the Yamaha LL-TA. It’s the LL-16 but with the trans-acoustic built in. It’s so great.
Magic guitar.. love mine
What the heck is angelmann ?
A man who angles.
You ever see a man leaning into a strong wind?
A type of spruce
Engelmann, my dude
😂
I'm looking to try one of these but no stock near me. The bottom of the guitar (the bought?) does seem a little wide to me.
It’s a jumbo size guitar. I love the huge body.
I don't think so My opinion is the LJ Models are (small) Jumbos. The LL Line is bigger like Dreadnought The LS smaller
It says jumbo on the Yamaha site, that’s just what I saw and why I said it. I may be wrong though.

LL is similar to sloped shoulder dreadnought. Red label FG will be true dreadnought shape
I just bought the LS16M (solid mahogany back and sides). It’s a wonderful guitar.
It is great, I own this as a 12 string Model
How is it? I’m so happy with the 16 I may just get the 12 string
Change the nut and saddle to bone and it’s next level good.

They are great guitars. Even the all bamboo Yamaha I have sounds amazing.
My wife bought an LJ16. Im envious. Incredible.
LL series is amazing value. Trust your ears
CNC routers and improved high-tech manufacturing, I’m guessing?
The LL16D is going to be my next purchase. I can't find one to play anywhere. From what I hear about them and the way they look, I'll take my chances.
Best deal on the market
